Synopsis:

A man is driving along an old secondary road in the rain whenhe comes across a young boy, a teen.  The man is ex-military, possibly SEALS or CIA.  He discovers the boy was physically abused.  He needs a home.  The man sails or boats in to the Florida keys.  The man has many friends, some lawyers, and somehow adopts the boy.  Sound familiar to anyone?  If so let me know of the title, and where to find the story, please.
