William King Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Nick Bostrom from the faculty of Philosophy at Oxford University published a paper (Philosophical Quarterly 2003) which attempts to prove that there is a very strong probability that we are living in a computer simulation. This is a serious and interesting argument which you can read - if you can get your head around the logic and maths. He examines the case for post-human development when computing power has reached such mega proportions that the human mind could be simulated inside a computer. He also states that the chances of humanity reaching such post-human evolution are so small as to be almost non-existent. That in effect humanity would become extinct before it ever arrived there. Taking into account that we are rapidly acquiring the level of computing power required, it is perhaps only twenty years away, this becomes a fascinating conclusion. Solus Magus Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I am more acquainted with the gods and goddesses with different myths and legends various country mixed with the Eidolon that comes from the game, Final Fantasy of Square Enix. However, I am more well-versed when it comes to occult and demonology rather than magical creatures. There are a lot of "sub-species" for demons as well. And most of them are not pretty. Just a selected few. 1
