Semi-talking about them. Mostly joking.

I always used them until my partners and I became exclusive and got tested. The one exception was with "T", and we were both each other's first.

It's true, not all people are cut out for it. It takes dedication, concentration and an obedient mindset to live the Life of a sub. There are many rewards, just as there are many rewards for the Dom, but discipline is a major part of the relationship. tim and molly recognize this, as do other subs around GA (and elsewhere) and they strive to be good, it is woven into their daily practices. they are receptive to discipline from their Sirs when mistakes are made, because they know that is how they learn to become better, more mindful of their thoughts, words and actions. Yes, subs are extremely strong individuals, as you pointed out. Obedient subs deserve much respect and admiration. Don't discount your own strength, Thorn.

if it is what you choose or want, you will learn.  i have been with Michael nearly 10 years ... it's very recent that i have really begun to trust Him.  i' came into this with much baggage and mistrust. Michael saw something i didn't. He has patiently shown me my worth through His teaching.  As have the other Doms i have been allowed to know.

Thank you. I admire you all for living according to your own principles, wishes, and needs. I do think that there are many ways of being strong. And if I hadn't had any strength of my own I doubt I would have made it this far. I'm not in a great place today, but I still went out and did things that needed doing, and I'm proud of that.

Those are big things ... and you should be proud.  There are times i only wish to hide...and sometimes i do.. often i dont.  so be proud.. write it in your diary... it's better when you write it down

To add to this... after I find my balls to say it publicly...

 

I've always said I'm open to trying anything once, but I lack one key component to even think about trying your lifestyle... trust. I'm just now learning to trust my Family, again, much less anyone else.

Then add to that I don't do pain, and don't even think about approaching me with anything that restricts my movement.

trust doesnt happen overnight ... a good Dom knows this ... our Life is about communication ... real talking and listening.  no Sir would ever try to tie you up if you are in a bad place.  @MichaelS36 or @MacGreg Sir are better to speak to that, but They just would not.  

 

Not all subs do pain or bondage either .. many serve by looking after their Dom ...

Trust is a process. And not everyone can tolerate pain, but there is much more to D/s than physical pain and restrictive devices, as you know.

You and I have spoken of this before.  Even if you consent to restraints no Dom worth a damn would ever leave you knowing of your past. You would be gently restrained while you relearned that trust. The person who did that to you deserves a kicking.
