They made them take all that down .. they made them remove the the little sofas and chairs in the lobby .. for some reason they can have a fire proof tree down there...

I don't know if Canada and/or Toronto has it, but it sounds like someone called Code Enforcement on the building. One person can call about an issue the building management won't take care of, and they will tag everything including that issue. At least that's what they do here. In a residential area, if they are called out for one house, they'll tag the whole block. "You have 30 days to comply or face a cumulative fine for each day past the grace period.

I've got some edits to do on TC4-C2, some work to do on TC4-C3, and then I'm hoping on to Skyrim. Jerod needs to go visit his son in Solitude and then go find himself a man to marry. I'm thinking Omund(sp) from the Wizard College.

Well, no, eviction's not an option. Is your building old? Could explain the stricter rules. Lack of building code fire-resistant walls, etc.

i suppose that could be it, Sir... built in the mid 70's i think.   but from i read, it's all apartment buildings.  it said that things like that would just make the fire worse.. in the halls etc.

After living this apartment for 9 years, and Michael like 15 or something... we were advised that we cannot have wreaths on the door. Seems its against the fire code. 🤔

It’s been that way in my condo from Day 1 - 15 years ago. And, yes, it’s a fire code issue.

Hehe... i both know and love this word ...

tchotchke Audio pronunciation

noun | CHAHCH-kuh

Definition

Just as trinkets can dress up your shelves or coffee table, many words for "miscellaneous objects" or "nondescript junk" decorate our language. Knickknack, doodad, gewgaw, and whatnot are some of the more common ones. While many such words are of unknown origin, we know that tchotchke comes from the Yiddish tshatshke of the same meaning, and ultimately from a now-obsolete Polish word, czaczko. Tchotchke is a pretty popular word these days, but it wasn't commonly used in English until the 1970s.

I have heard of this word, but I’m not familiar with this particular way of spelling it. I like it, it’s tricky. :D

Any Sir.. wreaths, flowers, doormats, door knockers etc... we hung ours in the kitchen window.  I'm sure they will be around to tell us we cannot do that..

I don’t see why you can’t hang something in your window as long as your not making any holes in the building to do that.

That's a WTF, moment. I'd be like, "So it was fine for the past 15 years? Ok, which PC asshole complained?"

That’s the way it usually happens. In the early days, dogs had great fun running around my building’s backyard until a care less (yes I meant to put it as two words) spoiled it for everyone because he/she didn’t pick up after his/her pooch.

Guess I always lived in shitty apartment buildings where nobody noticed or cared about fire safety. Lol.

LOL Sir!!   :)     hehe           these are pretty nice places really ... other than the current upstairs neighbours i've never heard anyone else unless they are really screaming.

it could be just an inspection at the wrong time.. so now they are looking for trouble.

A paper wreath?

I think it has to do with having a flammable object hanging on the doors.

Nothing combustible Sir .. how a door knocker is combustible i dont know.. but i looked it up.. its real

The door knocker does seem a little weird, considering they’re usually metal.
