There was a sweet wine I had once, that was called "winter wine," but was a deep red color. This one reminds me more of what a winter wine should look like.

 

That company also makes a line of blended tea wines. I guess that would be for someone that likes tea and wine and can have it in one glass. LOL.

You can read about sherry ... its a fortified wine from spain.. this article is good.. and sherry is as well.. it's sweet but has deep rich flavours:  http://www.wineanorak.com/sherry.htm

I should also mention, it came from one of those vineyards that do custom labeling, and I don't know who it was, or what the proper wine was.

I used to love sherry... Then I got wasted on a bottle of Amontillado (I felt very goth, because Edgar Allan Poe), got very sick, and kind of lost the taste for it... :P

Kind of sounds like Eiswein, also known as ice wine. Sweet dessert wine made from grapes that have frozen on the vine. It's yummy.

 

For dessert wines, I'm very fond of tokay, myself.

 tomorrow ... make bean and ham soup for saturday and maybe bake a lil pumpkin cake :D   cook some eye of round for Sunday dinner.

i've made it before ..very low sugar made with whole wheat flour, 1/4cup each of molasses and maple syrup ... Michael really enjoyed it
