I froze some of that corn quiche I made last Sunday and had a piece for lunch yesterday. Word of advice for anyone wanting to make that quiche... don't freeze any of it! It's still tasty but OMG it retains a ton of water. So thawed leftovers will be quite soggy once re-heated. Often happens with eggy things. Ooh, hot cider... Would be so tasty right now, but I have no cider. Boyfriend made me a ginger infusion for my stomach, though. Emotionally hungover today, if that's even a thing. 6

We've had like a metre of snow the past couple of weeks. Today it's raining and the snow is falling off the roof. Monday it's gonna get cold and eeeeeverything will freeze. 3 3

In the course of a week we had a blizzard which closed down the area for 2 days and set snowfall records for those days, followed by record warmth, then an ice storm. The last two days we had 60+mph winds and now today we're back to frigid temps and snow. Gotta love winter. lol 6

Thankfully, they're good at both ploughing and gritting here. So in spite of record snow fall, people have been going places. EDIT: I mean, I would have loved to have snow days when I was a kid, but that never happened, lol! Edited February 9, 2019 by Thorn Wilde 4 2

Her grandfather just passed away, but she took the time to come see me. And my cat. We used to house share. Honestly, I think the cat is a bigger deal than me. Carryout sounds nice. Boyfriend and I has spaghetti. My youngest daughter took me to an appointment, and then we had dinner together. 3 4

I made seafood Alfredo for lunch/dinner and am now catching up on my computer stuff. I'm debating whether I want to make a spice cake tonight or tomorrow. It's supposed to snow tomorrow, but not too much, thankfully. It's bluefish cold, though. Wow... someone has been busy... did you bring your intern home or what? 1 6

We're used to much larger amounts of snow at once, even though we set records for the two days of the blizzard. The problem was the high winds, which made visibility pretty much zero. The other problem was the arctic temps. Salt loses its effectiveness when the temps dip into the single digits. 4 2

High winds are definitely problematic, yeah. 5
