In all seriousness, normal walking will mean the snakes will slither away. Don’t like to be bothered by noisy humans

Very true and some, like the tiger snake, can be aggressive but it’s not as if they fall from the sky and attack or anything

We have a snake here its not the most poisonous and it bites more people because they try and kill it! Its call the cottonmouth

I get similar reactions when discussing boots for a childs first horse show.  Children who are likely to grow are expected to wear reasonably inexpensive paddock boots (ankle tall boots usually with zippers for easy in and out) and garters (leather straps worn wrapped around below the knee and above the calf to help hold jodpurs in place).

The children typically want tall boots like the big girls wear, and I have had the "I will buy new when she outgrows them" comment many times. The light bulb typically goes on when I point out that at their age a child can need as many as three new pairs of sneakers in one summer  and decent tall boots start around $300.

Good advice...we saw a 44 footer that we loved, but thought it might be too big...before we leave for home, we might cruise to the marina and look at it...
