Kevin and I have watched it a few times now.

Larian will do a great job. And it's supposed to be out by Christmas! We'll see if that happens, but I'm hopeful.

It's also turn-based. I love how Larian does turn-based games, and the gameplay they showed off looks sweeeeet.

The part I'm wondering about storyline wise, is who the Githyanki woman is on the Spelljammer. I mean, 3 Githyanki Wizards on Dragons fly to get her off that Ithilid Spelljammer.

Yeah. One definitely has to wonder.

At least two of the infected characters on the ship are recruitable party members ... and that makes me wonder if there's a connection between those in your party to the woman on the ship.

We're writers ... it's in our blood to look for plot twists, and that could lead to quite a few.

First thing I would do is look for a Cleric, and get a Cure Disease, followed by a Full Heal, and a Greater Restoration. Not going to leave it to fate if I start sprouting tentacles from my face.

Also wondering if this will take place in space too, because of the Spelljammer Ship.

If I'm remembering right, Greater Restoration costs a bunch just in material costs (like, a big diamond?). And from all appearances we're starting at first level. So ... that may be an issue. A Full Heal may work ... but we'll have to find a Cleric capable of casting it.

In other words, it won't be easy to get cured. Which, is probably the whole point. 😄

If we go to space then I wanna end up in Sigil too! We might as well explore all of the "other" settings if we're dabbling with Spelljamming. You gotta love the Lady of Pain ... an entity powerful enough to reduce a Greater Deity to a catatonic state with a flick of her wrist.

Planescape was the area I DMed in my group. I love the setting, and Sigil was just the best. Though the city looking like a c--- ring hovering over a long shaft always made me chuckle.

And don't you dare try to worship the Lady of Pain. That was a quick way to get killed or be sent to the mazes. Had a PC learn the hard way, after being warned In Character and Out of Character. One of the few hard rules I ran with for the setting.

Where else could you see an incubus hanging out with an angel? Sigil is a wild place. Possibilities are endless there. And if you get tired of the City of Doors ... well, pass through the right (or wrong) doorway, and you're on a different world, in a different universe.

But, back to this game - I do just want to play it! Larian makes great, strategic games ... and with the D&D ruleset, they're going to do interesting things.

The last time we saw the Gith in a D&D video game was Neverwinter Nights 2. And that was the 3.5 rule set. So, I'm looking forward to this one as well. I played the original BG and BG2. So I'm looking forward to this one.

Ooh, that cinematic is amazing! Looks like it'll be a great game. I haven't played Baldur's Gate since the first one... Should definitely give this one a go.
