  1. Life is handing Blake changes to be happy over and over and Blake just bitch slaps life back. And Haze is ignoring life isn't he? It is that old saw about being blessed and cursed and living in interesting times. If you screamed at them to stop it, would they. BTW, I have sold your Xbox. Love. Sam

Thanks Maria, I have conflicting thoughts about what I wrote.

    Chapter 1

Finding out you are attracted and maybe in love with someone and not knowing what is going on or going to happen... can be disturbing. Maybe this was all fantasy. Thanks for taking the time to read something of mine and reviewing.
  4. Average means half are smaller than and half are larger then.

    Chapter 10

I loved how much of this chapter was dialogue, it brings the characters closer. Also so unexpected and original. Wonderful writing and story turns. These guys are so real and off the charts at the same time. Love it. Amazing. Thank you Drew.
  6. Jason, I tried the link just now and my internet explorer gave me a no-no cannot do message. I will try again later cause I want to read your poems.
  7. That is good news, I need a good chapter to read and yours would be my first choice.

    Train Ride

The story starts out with Toby alone in a compartment. But the train is full or so says Kevin. Is it Toby's hard look that kept everyone away... all except for Kevin. Toby freely admts he is running away to the country. He is single. A broken relationship? And the open flirting with a stranger after the long introspection and reserve. And the dream. So Toby is hurting and hiding and maybe looking for diversion. And what of Kevin whose impulse is to lie and to be suspicion and yet accepts meeting this stranger again. All very juicy, I think. I enjoyed this first chapter.

    Derivations of Self

Tricky, again the sound I like. An inside joke. A private pet peeve. A small challenge to guess.

    We, Youth Canada

    Spoken like someone young.

    The Winter Harvest

First off, the sound I like. Is it macabre, or a grim fairy tale. Is that left to me to decide or are you telling something. A warning or an observation. At the moment a mystery as to why.
  14. Where is the super glue when you need it. I would so stick you here, with it. Sam.

    Chapter 13: Shit!

Blake and Haze are so adept at destroying themselves. And both of them are still mysteries, for the most part. We know Haze has family history. We know Blake has past consequences. We know how messed up they. We are seeing how they try to cope. They must really have strong core selves. That they do most of it to themselves is frustrating to the extreme. You want to help them. They expend so much energy covering up what they want and who they are. Maybe they will figure out a way to help each other soon. Ha! I love them so. And your story.
  19. Poetry is intensely personal, I think for the writer and for the reader. This one puts me in your place and you in mine. It is close and intimate. And I can only watch and feel the events transpire. But oh I want to intervene. I want to share your grey and show you my own and well ask you to see more then just the grey. Good poem.

    Chapter 1

I really like this poem the way it is written. It's story leaves me feeling grey.
  21. A delightful romp into the lifes of Jerry and Chris. Made me smile. Well written and thought out.
  22. Pampanga Easter is a very successful poem. It engages and it fulfils its purpose beautifully.

    Poems

Of the three, I like Pampanga Easter best. I like the three verse format and the building of the theme in the second line of each verse. The other two are nice but I miss the third verse? Does that make sense? All three are interesting and and yes strange in topic, but the poetry is more.

    Poem: The Bed

Thanks Lugh for reading and taking the time to comment. :hug:I made an attempt at clarification of the poem in the discussion thread, if you care to read it.It makes a start at it anyway.I have this urge to write this way. It seems less static.
  25. I enjoyed the story and look forward to more. I also liked Frosty's picture.
