  1. Well I'm sort of a hopeless romantic, so for me love is that thing that you watch everyone else use, abuse, and toss aside like pure garbage while you emotionally and mentally starve to death. Love is simply a chemical reaction that occurs in the brain, a prolonged infatuation if you may, it's just a system that evolution created in human beings in order to preserve the continuity of the species. However, that doesn't make it pointless. Love is the most important thing in human life. It creates inspiration, joy, it produces happiness and can be positive towards your health; it creates a bond to something (not always a person--you can love a subject, an activity, a career, anything) -- a bond almost as strong as the ones that keep our very cells together; it's like infusing your very essence into another being (or subject, career, art, etc.) -- you become one with it. Under this, you could theorise the possibility of love at first sight, your essence meshes with that of this person, the rest is just solidifying the bond (Moulin Rouge comes to mind). However, while this bond is being re-enforced, it is very vulnerable and quite unstable; our emotions and our actions tie in with its progress and can destroy the bond at any time. As the bond grows, it becomes harder and harder to break (think of people that stay in love for years, or when they're still growing, it becomes harder to let go in the end). I think love evolves just as much as we do, it changes just as we do through our lives; it can decay if you allow it to do so; it's not a perfect and permanent thing that lasts forever, it has to be maintained like a beautiful rose garden; roses don't just plant and grow themselves (well they do, but you get my point)! ~Words From A Hopeless Romantic Edit: I've only been in love once, and it was a far more unique sort of love, so I'm probably dead wrong about everything. Okay so that's a little overly dramatic, but yeah. I have a video that pretty much sums up love (it's rather offensive so I don't suggest watching it if you're easily offended and can't take jokes): Love is a many-splendored thing, It's the April rose that only grows in the early spring, Love is nature's way of giving a reason to be living, The golden crown that makes a man a king. Once on a high and windy hill, In the morning mist two lovers kissed and the world stood still, Then your fingers touched my silent heart and taught it how to sing, Yes, true love's a many-splendored thing. ~Frank Sinatra
  2. I got Charles Dickens, three times, with two parts of a chapter from two different stories, and one from an old blog post. I think that means I win. -grins- I also got several other authors along the way, including Arthur Clarke and some dude named David Foster Wallace, but I did eventually hit Dickens three times. I was actually hoping for Poe; like, I *really* wanted Poe, but I can live with Dickens.
  3. Well, to begin with my decision is rather biased; I have and will always be a Sony PlayStation fan, they have been in production far longer than the xbox and tend to be far more reliable, not to mention some of the greatest games of all time are PlayStation (Like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Xenosaga, Suikoden, etc.) -- whereas xbox has more 'fad' games that will quickly lose their attraction (such as the Halo series); Microsoft, in my opinion, is all for as much profit as they can possibly rake in, they give you a cheaper system than Sony does, but then throw all of these hidden charges in your face, along with major(and I mean MAJOR) system and software issues that end up costing you far more money than you had ever expected, along with long durations of not having your system while Microsoft takes their lovely time fixing your system. BUT, to contain my own personal biased, I'll just copy&paste a pro and con list of each of the consoles. I'm neglecting Wii because, well the Wii is a very...umm, what's the word I'm looking for...other than crap, it's very direct; it doesn't have the large genre variety, it's the classics (which people love) but with the joystick thing the amount of variation is really cut down, and in all honesty while it can be loads of fun it fails in comparison to the 360 or the PS3.

    Dirty poll #7

I don't have any fetishes. Like, none at all; none of those interest me in the slightest. I'm also all for keeping what you do with your significant other in the bedroom and not telling me about it because I'm going to vomit no matter what you are; straight, gay, I don't care keep it in the bedroom. So I'm rather disturbed now knowing that people get off on vomiting and urinating.
  5. Lady Gaga; there are a LOT of bands I like better than her, but as a solo musician and artist, definitely Lady Gaga. If you say she isn't a musician, you clearly have never heard her play piano, or sing acoustic for that matter; try looking up her singing 'Poker Face' in acoustic; it's phenomenal, anyone that thinks she isn't incredibly talented is ignorant and allowing their musical taste get in the way of their objective ears. A very, very, very, very close second would be Adam Young (or Owl City for those that don't know his name). Edit: I also, very much so, love Vanessa Mae; oh and Keiko Abe (Marimba love <33 )
  6. Don't you dare put a big X on my posts! -cries- I think people are just great at http://www.wikipedia.org.
  7. Well, I don't rather enjoy kissing hair, so facial hair is out. Unless it's one of those little beard things that frat boys like to do...in which case it can be very sexy. But I really don't like chest hair; it's just not attractive to me. And down there has to be very well kept. Like, nearly completely shaved. I don't like hair. Unless it's on their head, in which case I LOVE long hair. :|
  8. umm...I don't really like her music, and even though I am bi I think she's pretty ugly. So...ummm...I propose an option D: threesome with hayley williams and brent corrigan
  9. I do not, at all, see how anime can be considered more sophisticated than american cartoons! I learned everything I'll ever need to know about life from Nickelodeon. I find Anime far more childish and rather dull. All Anime does is show us that the Japanese have surpassed Americans in making every single thing about sex or beauty.

  11. Happy Birthday. =)
  12. umm, I don't think they can be compared -- at all. They are two completely different experiences. And to call dry heat more preferable makes me assume you've never been in dry heart past 110 where when you breathe(at at least this is what it feels to me) it feels like there is no oxygen going into your lungs. BUT: I've lived in Arizona all my life; I can't speak for humidity, but I sure as hell can speak for dry heat. Also: One of the major downfalls of dry heat isn't the temperature, per say. It's the wind. Dry 110(+) degree weather + Wind == Kill me now.

    Glee

If you noticed the Voting card at the end of the episode, it gave Sue the option to choose who she felt for 1st place, who for 2nd, and who for 3rd. So, if everyone voted Aural Intensity for second(most likely), then they would receive second. Since everyone except Sue voted for Vocal Adrenaline for 1st place, they got 1st. And since everyone voted New Directions as last except Sue, they came out as last. At least that's what I figured from it; it's the best scenario I could think of.
  14. told you you're small. and wow that's ginormous! xD
  15. sen10rs...even though we're not anymore. And thanks(even though i wasn't included in the title! ) <333 Dr. Seuss
  16. You're in Arizona too?????!?!?! !!!!! Haha, yeah I'm in Arizona; Atlantis is where my head lives.
  17. It says 105F on weather.com
  18. It's currently 107.8F here, 42.1C. It's hot. I'm surviving by not leaving my room. XD
  19. I see it being a roller coaster at a six flags park; full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and loops and spins until it ultimately derails at the end, crashing into the Democracy water ride.
  20. Capitalism: The Ride I can see it now.

    Glee

Rachel belongs with Finn; END. OF. STORY. If that bitch isn't going to take him already, I'm going to steal him from her. Jeeze. I have yet to decide if I like this. I think I'm leaning towards I do, because it does follow the purpose of Glee and it keeps the drama it needs if it plans to survive longer than a few seasons. What I dislike is what this could do to my 2nd favourite show. Also, I think that if they are going to do this then the boyfriend they cast for Kurt should be the 'other' side of gay people -- someone you wouldn't know is gay, someone who's NOT a stereotype. I think they should cast me.
  22. I've read Anthem; I tried reading the Fountainhead but I was being extra lazy. Anthem is really good but I guess The Fountainhead is supposed to be her best. Personally I don't agree fully with her philosophy but I can agree with certain aspects.
  23. Happy Birthday =3
  24. Happy Birthday Eric =3
  25. Thanks everyone =) Besides having my AP Physics teacher bust out the birthday song on his harmonica, it was a pretty boring day; most of my friends are in California at the moment for the Band Disneyland trip. Thanks again everyone<333
