Richard glanced around him as he left the clothing department store located at the far end of the mall. He honestly hadn’t really had to buy anything new, but had decided to go ahead and purchase a few new black t-shirts and jeans. It had been a month since he had seen Simon, and for some reason it didn’t set well with him. His uneasiness over being away from Simon only reinforced his belief that the other man could be his mate. He could have just shown up at Simon’s house, but he didn’t wan

Simon struggled to keep his hands from trembling as he looked at the non-descript door that would open into the club. He had been studiously avoiding the place ever since Richard had told him about what had almost happened, and in essence he hadn’t actually been back since the night of the attempted rape, which had been nearly a month ago. The only thing he could figure was that his subconscious had been trying to protect him from either realizing what had happened or from the same thing happe

Richard allowed his thoughts to wander as he sat at a small table in the coffee shop, his cup of java sitting forgotten in front of him. It had been two weeks since he had saved Simon from the attempted date rape and ever since he had been unable to get the other man out of his mind. Simons scent permeated his nostrils. Whenever he closed his eyes at night, his mind was overwhelmed by dreams of Simon and what his instincts told him they could have together. The only thing he regretted was

A haze of smoke seemed to envelop Simon as he stepped through the heavy metal doors into the darkened atmosphere of the night club. He took a glance around as he started through the throng of bodies that were moving on the dance floor and let loose a slight chuckle as he watched one guy who had absolutely no rhythm try to move with the music. Out of habit he tried to see if he recognized anybody but the place was so crowded because of it being a Friday night that he couldn’t make out very many

“I really thought I could do this,” Alex whispered to himself as he studied his reflection in the bathroom mirror. His knuckles were turning white from his grip on the bathroom sink as he contemplated ways to get out of his date with Jesse. “C’mon Alex, Jesse will be here soon,” his roommate and best friend Brent called through the closed bathroom door. Alex released his death grip on the sink and taking a deep breath opened the door. His blue gaze collided with Brent’s surprised gre

Jeremiah Blackfoot could feel the anticipation curling through his veins as he waited for the last rays of sunlight to disappear beyond the horizon. It had been centuries since he had felt the sun on his skin; truthfully, he couldn’t even remember what being out in the sun felt like. He had only felt the pull of the sunlight once in his early years after being converted to a creature of the night. He may not remember the feeling of the sun before he became a vampire, but he could clearly reca

As a centuries old vampire, Jeremiah Blackfoot is used to living a solitary existence. When he meets the sickly Cale, Jeremiah has to come to grips with the possibility that maybe there is someone out there for him. The biggest holdback for Jeremiah, Cale is human. Jeremiah has watched many lovers wither and die, and has since stayed far away from romantic entanglements. Can Cale and Jeremiah overcome the odds, or is there no hope of bridging the mortal chasm between them.

The trees blurred by as Adrian Jackson sped down the mountain highway on his way home from visiting his sister and her family. A weekend away from Randall was just too long. Randy had planned on joining him, but his own family’s unexpected arrival had derailed their plans. Adrian’s thoughts drifted to the man who’d been his partner for the last five years. Randy’s blonde hair and bright blue eyes contrasted with his own sable brown hair and chocolate eyes. Even Adrian had to admit that they were

Adrian Jackson was involved in a horrific car accident. Can he find his way back to his partner Randy or will he forever be lost in the recesses of his mind.

Trace kept one eye trained on the rearview mirror at the car that had been behind him for the last couple of miles. No matter where he went the car seemed to stick with him. So far it hadn’t gotten close enough for him to make out any specific details other than that it was black, but his gut told him that he might just be in trouble. Testing his theory he made a couple of quick right turns without signaling. The squeal of his tires was the only indication that he had taken the turns too fas

I used to post on Nifty and I personally didn't have too hard of a time removing my stories, however, from what I understand, that's not the norm. A good friend of mine who is published was trying to pull her old works off of Nifty in order to revamp them and send them in to her publisher and nifty absolutely refused to remove her stories unless she either a- gave them money or b-replaced it with another story. She finally ended up paying them in order to get her stories off.

Actually, Yahoo posted a thing on it, and there were over 500 comments on it, and most of the ones I read basically said that, lol...

I agree with Alyssa Lies... there is also "Room With A View" by Carolyn Dawn Johnson... And though some people might thing I'm weird, "Waterfalls" by TLC... this was one of my brother's favorite songs, but the first time I remember hearing it was at his funeral "Looking for the Light" ~ Rick Trevino (parts of this song were me and my brother) Room With A View - The first time I heard this song was right after the death of a man who I considered a grandfather (though there was no relation) They gave you a corner room on the fifth floor The city lights were like candy to a kid in a store Like a king you'd lay in your bed so statefully So thankful they gave you a room with scenery You always were so healthy, so full of life So seeing you so helpless just didn't seem right And how you kept your head so high I'll never know I guess you knew you had a better place to go Now... You've got a room with a view A window to the world You always had your sights set high And now that you're gone Your memory lives on And I see you smiling in my mind With angels as visitors dropping by Your room with a view I'll always miss you I'll always feel the loss I have to remind myself that you're better off I gotta believe even through these tears of mine Wherever you are there's a sun that always shines And... You've got a room with a view A window to the world You always had your sights set high And now that you're gone Your memory lives on And I see you smiling in my mind With angels as visitors dropping by Your room with a view With angels as viitors dropping by Your room with a view Hoah
