Have you forgotten he's a politician? 🙂 Of course not 😛 But summoning the wrath of his party just to appease Jamie and follow through with the promise he made? He is keeping a promise for no apparent gain.

Well, thank @CassieQ for that. My text was pure and virgin I chuckled at that. 😬 Not privileged but personally dangerous. Yeah. You know my viewpoint is tainted with a romantic heart, but I don't think I could work in a job that deals with classified information. Because I would stick to the rules and it would kill me. I have signed a fair share of NDAs in my life, and did adhere to my contractual obligations, even with family members. But there's a difference between what we're talking about here and an unreleased product I have knowledge of 😂 Is it personally dangerous though? This is Mike! It might be dangerous to Mike however, and that's the angle I would sell to myself if I was Jamie. Of course I will! I accept any outcome, as long as it's well-written and cohesive. The reason Game of Thrones got so bad in the last season is because the show runners deviated from what the author would've done. It's your world! Now get back to polishing further chapters, thanks 😛

Oh yeah, that was a nice touch. Almost forgot about it... I think RMW will turn out to be more loyal and trustworthy than we (or some) originally thought.

Oh, please don't apologize. I'm happy that you're here. Thank you. 🙂 Now that's the spirit! It's extremely humbling when people accept my proposal and are just along for the ride. We've gone deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, but now I'm pulling the group back on the soil of the Strawberry Mountains. It should prove to be a grounding experience. I just hope I'm navigating that correctly! Thank you for being here. 💜

That is a very kind remark, thank you. I know you were quite upset about Mark being gone. But I couldn't really divulge more information about his whereabouts until they met Chronos and Inari. I apologize. 😬 At least now they have Chronos around to ask questions. Thank you. 🧡

A perfect chapter, because sometimes we need respite (and sex). But, oh Jamie... Yeah, no you aren't. But I see where that's coming from. Reminds me of the X-Men (movie) quote, when Bobby's parents, after learning his son is a mutant* (*just swap for gay if you like), tell him: @lawfulneutralmage brings up this exact pop cultural reference, for a reason. And finally, Mike gives Jamie the "go ahead" on continuing to be secretive about things. Jamie needed this. I think he should've known that Mike—being part of the same profession—would understand him anyway, but the confirmation was very important to him. Even made the sex better, because he could focus on what's right in front of him again. Personally, I still think there's a distinction between telling Mike and telling officials, but it's a very thin line to walk. And I don't think Jamie is going to walk it. He'll just be quiet, and it all is revealed in an explosive manner. Maybe a ghost visits them at home and Jamie goes X-Men on it! So many possibilities 😛 But not my story to tell. I'm just here to enjoy. I have internalized all the comments from the last chapter about what privileged information you may not divulge to loved ones or family. I get it. I still don't think Jamie's abilities are privileged information however, but one could argue that 1) divulging this about himself would require further elaboration on his job activities and 2) in a sense, Jamie could argue that he's protecting Mike right now with the bliss of ignorance. So many moral layers here! I love it. Way to start a Sunday

So Inari either sent Chronos back with them to f**k with him or he desperately needs to be there. We shall find out ! Thank you for your comment. It helps knowing what works (and what doesn't work!) There's definitely no reason for custodians to be stoic. They can be witty and sarcastic. After all, they built our reality. And nope, not all of them are human. We're not that special. 💙

I have no clue whether you're offended or rofl-ing 🤔 Twilight is an insult 😛 Oh right, I remember! He was being very annoying. Grey is already a werewolf, there's nothing ordinary about the guy 😛 And yes, I do play into the trope of people suddenly discovering magic abilities. Then I thought, WHY NOT EVERYONE?!

I have no words! No words! Brokeback Mountain XD ? I also have no clue how you see iZombie in here, but alright! Percy Jackson, that's all about Greek gods. I have none of those.

Mark's eyes are verdant green, I wonder if that is a coincidence. Regarding your classification of Osiris and Clara, I can neither confirm nor deny. I guess you'll have to wait, but I appreciate the research! And yeah, I'm also very excited to finally be returning to the pack. This is a werewolf story foremost, and... we've been in what now? Constructs? Aaru? I shake my head! Thank you, @CincyKris 💜

Chapter 13: Mike stumbles into a battle Jamie has while protecting RMW. Startled at first, he proceeds to jump into the fray, trying to protect his love (this is drown after all, romantic, remember?). Voilà! TOUCHED THE GHOST. Mike starts his own magical superpower kung-fu. If you ever need a sparring partner for stupid ideas, hit me up.

I tested this when publishing a new chapter today, and seems to indeed be the local time of your browser/computer.

So I originally planned the soup, remember? All the bell peppers I could find were yucky, so… I introduce you to my casserole: Pasta, meat (fake meat in my case, but just imagine it's real meat if you so desire), sauce, crème fraîche, cheese. I really need to work out tomorrow 🤪

Perhaps I've missed something or am not understanding you. Who has Jamie disclosed anything to other than Morris-Walker? M-W is the principal Jamie is protecting. Jamie would have to discuss the situation with M-W. Jamie would not discuss with his friends, other police officers, or his family and normally that would include your spouse. How has Jamie, given the above, not followed the guidelines? I think @CincyKris is referring to, among other things, lying on police reports, replenishing ammunition and thus not reporting a firearm that has been used, killing a ghost, etc. None of this is by the book. M-W might be his principal target for protection, but he has other duties which is he not following, thus nothing being by the book.

Finally the forest again, I missed it. Yes. Thank you, Chris. 💙

It requires a mere moment of attention, a single touch, from Dave and Grey forgets anything else exists. I doubt jealousy is in the cards. Or is it? Don't break your brain over it! 💚

And you're not doing time travel stories … sure 😉 I hate time travel! And so does Chronos. That's not how time works!! 😁 Not only is he speaking English, he's speaking Plain English for the Slow Ones™️ by the Dense One™️. The language used inside the Constructs is not comparable to what happens in the reality we know. But one can only guess, right? Let's see how he behaves in a full human body. You are misquoting me, but it would be funny. The End. 🤣

Haha. To be honest, just buy some smoked tofu, prepare the dish. It'll taste like sausage. And if you really can't help yourself, get some Mettwurst sausage (German heritage and all that), fry in a pan, add to soup. I'd leave out the tofu then, serves the same purpose. Possibly a little richer and more varied in taste, but unhealthier 😛

Well with Chronos among them now, I would hope there's lots of opportunities for them to ask questions. Thank you for your readership as always, @akascrubber ❤️

I’m speechless. Can’t think of a perfect reaction, just to send you a huge hug and it was/is his great loss. Joder Thank you. I was 17 at the time, 23 years ago. And being speechless was the only reaction I could muster at the time. It just floored me, made me numb. I'm just glad I was stable enough to shrug it off over time. Wounds can mend though. And they did. He did apologize, roughly 10 years later. He didn't even remember saying it, as I had to bring it up. I don't want to hijack this comment thread with my personal story though. But thank you, I'm fine. Having said all this, previous experiences and previous loss and pain are a huge driving factor in our lives. Just as it is for Jamie I would think. And there we go, back on track. He's a very complex character, and I cherish reading his story. 💜

I promised the recipe! Drown's Paprika Stew with Tofu 🍅🫑🥔 The problem is, I just roughly throw all ingredients together in the largest pot I have, making for a hearty meal, ready in the freezer every time I need it. 😬 So ingredient amounts are a rough estimate. List of ingredients: approx. 800 g of tomatoes, I buy them on the vine. 4 large paprika (bell peppers), preferably yellow and red ones approx. 800 g of potatoes, low starch 2 cloves of garlic 2 onions approx. 300g of firm tofu, smoked tofu if preferred approx. 1.5 liters of vegetable stock paprika powder, sweet paprika powder, rose hot marjoram powder some olive oil salt and pepper Drownish steps: I like mise en place, as I need order in my life, therefore do all the cutting and dicing beforehand. Cut tomatoes, paprika, potatoes, and tofu in bite-sized pieces. Finely dice the onions. Crush garlic and mix with onions. Heat olive oil in a large pot, and saute onions with garlic until your senses tell you, “yeah, that doesn't seem too bad.” Wildly add all the rest (tomatoes, paprika, potatoes, and tofu) to the pot, and then deglaze it all with the vegetable stock. Add as much water as you want, I usually go large here, making it more soupy. Add a huge amount of paprika powder, but be careful of the rose hot one. I usually for for several teaspoons, just to make it all really really red and tasty. Add a teaspoon of marjoram powder. Season with some salt and pepper. Let it cook for 90 minutes. Eat! Stuff in face. Here's a picture of the pot while cooking Going to make the same thing today!

“It’s really bright down there,” Clara said, her eyes narrowing against the glow. “You really think we should go down into that… well?” Dave’s voice held a hint of uncertainty, his gaze fixed on the glowing abyss before us. “We’ve come this far,” I asserted, stepping forward to lead the way. The well wasn’t so much a physical structure as it was an endless expanse of white, stretching into infinity. The stone steps descending into it felt oddly young, untouched by time, as if pres
