  1. Do you really think that I am one for happy ends? A taunt. I'll take it. But yeah, I think redemption and a happily ever after is in the cards for Jamie. 😛 Then again, I'll take anything that's well-written.
  2. What the. Thank you! 💚 But the hat tip should go to @lawfulneutralmage for writing such complex characters! And for me drug use is … complicated. I have huge empathy for people around me, and I see them do things. I just personally have a natural propensity against substance abuse I think, but I know it's not that easy for everyone. And it's not that easy for Jamie. I'm just glad he has Mike and Nam. Yes, he is, but can you see why he does it? Of course I do! And I know why you're dragging the inevitable out so much 😛 Damn you. We all know it would be better for Jamie to come clean on his own. I'm 50/50 if that's gonna happen. It all depends on you though! I'm sure both outcomes will be thrilling to read. Jamie is just very annoyed that the asshole minister is more intelligent than him. 😁 Jamie has other things, hot looks, smarts, wit, intuition. But while definitely not dumb—not in the least—the minister has the upper edge here. Concur! Aww. 💙
  3. Good morning on this Saturday! Tofu paprika stew it is today. Might post recipe.
  4. Oh, Jamie… As @lawfulneutralmage said, the killing inside in the previous chapter really did Jamie in. His form of processing it revolves around drowning out his thoughts with drugs. I get it. I'm just glad he has people around him to pull him out of it. Still. Lies and lies. You keep telling yourself that, Jamie. Just continue. It will bite you in the ass and it aggravates me. Which I guess is good, because it means I'm invested in the story and the characters, right 😛 ? A half-truth is a whole lie. —Yiddish proverb He's simply lying by omission. Yeah, same. 🤣 Your info dumps are so well executed, @lawfulneutralmage—you establish characters with wits, cunning, and knowledge and then have them bring up new information in very believable dialog. Is good This accent ended me. Introducing more people into the fray is actually an intriguing concept, @Flip-Flop. If that ever happens though, we know it's going to be blowing Jamie's and the minister's elaborate cover stories.

You know I read your sex scenes before, right?
  6. You can find your Reading History by going to Stories > button "My Stories" > "My Reading History". It should be there!

Google him and click on images... plenty of bangable Henry Cavill pics..🤣 I just burst out laughing at work XD

    The Killer

Yes, and he's hot omg. But those curls, at least in Bodyguard, were not bangy. I might just misunderstand bangs 😛

@kbois requires a shedding of light however, and I do agree. My mind settled on Bodyguard (Netflix show), which I know is totally wrong. But that's just my brain.

My personal opinion? The web of lies will get too much for Jamie and he will spill the beans before it's all too late. Another one of those ghostly incidents max. But so many things could happen! @lawfulneutralmage once said that in comments that Jamie is very by the book. We had a discussion about him not being truthful to Mike. Now that "by the book" is no longer a thing, I wonder what the emotional turmoil is doing to him. I AM A ROMANTIC AND NEED HIM TO CONFIDE IN MIKE. 😂

    The Killer

What a superb night! I think Jamie navigated making up a story well. But having to replace ammo, check for CCTV, deal with people’s stories and what they’ve seen… this is going to bite him in the ass at some point. Won’t always go this well. And I’m not sure the minister will have his back at all times. Thanks for a great new chapter with plausible and well-paced action

    Chapter 1

Jeezus... don't encourage him. I can already tell you are going to be spending most of your days in the Korner with the rest of the miscreants. And I bet you secretly like watching us there.

I think we're more alike than @kbois had hoped.

    Chapter 1

@chris191070 just shifted everything in favor of the coconut. 🥥
  15. Usually involves dangerous wolf men. 😈
  16. Do I win? The few people here at work—for the few remaining days this work exists—needed a treat from me. French pâtisserie seemed appropriate.

    Chapter 1

Well. It’s complicated. I used to love dogs only, as I grew up with a Chihuahua that was with me for all my childhood. I loved her to death. She was evil and kind, utterly loyal. But the man who stole my heart is a cat person, so I was assimilated. Coconut? I’m impartial to it. 🤷🏻

    Chapter 1

Won't get rid of me that easily! 😁 Dangerous men are alluring. Makes for a fantastic subplot. 😆 That would be ultimate fanservice ... and very meta. This^

It is. Story wins out for me still 😛 But I'm reading it all with glee! 💚

    Chapter 2

I seriously love your train of though. Your tracks are as warped as mine! I had similar thoughts. lol Dangerous and attractive is an alluring combination.

    Chapter 1

There we go. Drown is here! I probably shouldn't comment as I know there's a crowd of roughly 23,495 people who already know more than me and read past this chapter. In a twisted sadistic sense, that excites me though. What the fuck! The parents' death hit home for me. Blergh. But just one chapter in and I'm already hooked again, so kudos to you, Alpha kbois. Let's see who the hot guy in darkness is.
  22. Tim— Honestly, I found it hard to come up with the right words, but I really wanted to respond. Your honesty about gratitude and dealing with the tough days hit home. It's not always easy to talk about, but it's so necessary. Remember, it's perfectly okay to have those not-so-great feelings. And it's more than perfectly okay to be angry at times. It's better to ride this out than suppress emotions. And as you said, there will be better days. I don't know you well enough (yet), but you can always reach out to me, also if it's just for ranting, being angry, being human. 🐺Drown
  23. Today I went to work—long shall it be remembered as the thing that no longer is—in just a hoodie, no jacket. 15ºC/59ºF! And there’s even some sun and wind. I love wind. Good morning everyone.

    Chapter 2

I still have some chapters to catch up to! That would be a mindfuck, but I'm all for it 😛
