1. I think those first loves shape us and scar us. Or at least mine did. The really complicated part of about who we are is that no one else is inside your head. What is emotionally crippling to me might be water off someone else's back and they can't understand why I am devastated. Or how I wound up like I am. I did just notice that Andy's last name changed......
2. I don't doubt it's true because the reasons for Lutefisk, storing fish for the winter by drying it, no longer exist, but for those in the U.S. and Canada, it is a way to reconnect with your roots and the 'homeland' and remember why you left that cold dark place I would also wager more haggis is eaten in the U.S. and Canada than Scotland for the same reason. Do you suppose they eat gefilte fish in Israel?
3. My first gay pride was bitter sweet I suppose. I went to L.A. Pride as I was dealing with the feelings I had, I liked women and men, I didn't have any gay or bi friends since no one knew I was struggling with those feelings so I went alone. I remember how alone and isolated I felt despite being in a crowd of 300,000+ people. That is the bitter part. The sweet part was that there were enough normal looking, happy people who weren't terrified about their sexuality that it was the first time I ever believed I could make it through life with the feelings I had.
4. Moondance by Van Morrisson. The prom theme was Moondance, which we didn't really get until as they started to play Moondance, the roof of our venue slid open revealing a great moon that night. The dance floor erupted. It was a great night for romance. I wish I had one more moon dance.

17. Oh and i was by the way outted on national television. I am sitting at a local coffee shop in Toluca Lake CA next to NBC Studios and whatever their morning show was was doing a man in the street interview, something along the lines of "what do you get your wife when you need to make up" and one of the five men I am sitting with says "well we're all gay here so we don't have that problem" as the camera pans us.... I had relatives back east who had no idea i was gay and had no need to know calling my mother...... and then friends from high school and college.... people at work..... the worst part isn't that I tend to think of myself as bi, but most of my gay friends assume I am gay and I seldom correct them because it is worth the hassle of having them tell me how I feel.... no it is that that damn camera puts ten pounds on you!
18. Hmmm, sex in different rooms.... the kitchen, the guest room, the laundry room. Sex when it is unexpected, as in come home early and surprise him... rent movies and copy how they do it or copy the roles..... Wear a uniform or wrestling singlet..... Have sex in your parents bed when they are out of town.... have sex out of town.... go up to the Cape for a weekend.... shaving each other can be fun (or so I have heard)...... outdoors sex if you can do it with out putting yourself at risk of doing it illegally....
19. In Camilo's story The Perks of Loving You one character, Amy, outs another, Casey and we really don't even know if Casey is or not..... but here is the question, not really related to the story, but in general. Is it okay to out someone? Not the Congressman or preacher who is anti-gay and then tapping toes in men's restrooms, but just a regular person. I've had more friends who were outted by their "fag hags" then I care to remember. Sometimes it was inadvertent, other times they thought they were "helping". I've been with friends at restaurants when they have maybe inadvertently outted a waiter or bus boy by asking a co-worker in the restaurant "is so-and-so gay?". Maybe the person is, but has no desire to be out at work for whatever reason. When I got on my friend for asking the question, his response was, 'he shouldn't be in the closet anyway if he is'. Okay... maybe, maybe not, but is it my friends decision to make for that person? Should Amy announce to a room full of people, "Guys!" she shouted to get everyone
20. Eh, Aiden meant not in your league as in he thought Travis was a player and by his own admission Travis had been in his past. If people don't get that they have never met a player. They need to spend a week in WeHo sitting at the Abbey observing....
21. It is easy to forget where Aiden and Owen came from in their relationship if you read The Log Way years ago and just finished with ITFB with the Epilogue. They had their issues and demons to overcome too to get to their relationship.
22. I don't quite get why people think Aiden was a jerk in this story, the break-up wasn't about Aiden being mad at Owen because he didn't trust him it really was about giving each other space even if it was in an O. Henry kind of way. They each thought they were giving the other a 'gift' even though it was personally painful. And the long separation was probably good because Dom clearly implies that in those nine months apart Owen did get laid by other guys and that probably helped round him out a little and sew some wild oats. Besides the other clues that Dennis is mostly a bottom were the two clues in the Epilogue, first in the grocery store as he shoves Aiden past Dennis,

Travis gave Aiden a shove ahead, past Dennis. "He's not friendly with anyone. I think people with that kind of problem seriously need something up their ass, not out of it." And this Dennis narrowed his eyes. "I don't have anything against him. Except, he breathes." Dennis passed Travis the spatula. "Here. Take over. I want a shower." Travis took the utensil before he registered those words, and found himself suddenly torn between food and Dennis, who was already taking off his shirt, halfway through the kitchen. "Did I mention you're an asshole?" Travis called after him. Dennis smirked over his shoulder. "I said take over. I didn't say keep cooking." "Dinner can wait?" Travis asked, optimistic. Travis was already reaching to turn off the burners. Dennis laughed. "Like I'd trust you to cook." Dennis said "take over. I didn't say keeping cooking" Dennis is heading to the shower and he wants Travis to take over, not cook. Sounds like a bossy bottom to me.
23. Wow, don't hold back.... don't be embarrassed... just say what's on your mind!
