  1. Funny, I was thinkin' a good slammin' is precisely what Arbor needs to get his head screwed on. (Or was it a good screwin' to get his head slammed on??)
  2. Adorable kiss tonight between Jude (Hayden Byerly) and Connor (Gavin MacIntosh). Super job of acting by both teens, a nice mix of awe, wonder, surprise and tenderness. They haven't decided if either character is gay yet, but it does portray so well that overwhelming affection you can have for another boy at that age and you walk through the hormone minefield.
  3. If you click on "pinky touch" in my original post, the Slate article has the full scene with the pinky touch. It is the cutest gay teen scene on TV since Ugly Betty where Mark Indelicato asked that boy to dance at his Mom's wedding.
  4. Now we are talking! The hiatus is painful and approaches DomLuka painful as I still want to know what happens when "Nelson meets a young painter."
  5. Have you tried Craig's List "missed connections" in the UK? Would that be too obvious (assuming he even saw it)? If you are in the locker room at the same time (ending workouts), would asking if he wanted get a pint be too weird? I assume straight buds in the UK do fluid replacement after the gym.
  6. That is pretty accurate except for number #4. I actually really like JJ, especially the pre-skating JJ. If Will ended up with some hot Navy pilot, I think Alistair would be good for JJ as well. I think Alistair is the kind of common sense, no nonsense, good guy you want your son to bring home. I think Alistair would ground JJ and let him move on from diva time because I am not sure JJ even enjoys being a diva.
  7. If I have to step in and take over writing...... you KNOW who is dying in the next chapter in a horrible, drowning, meteor strike, flaming car accident, plane crash.
  8. Does anyone watch The Foster's? A story about lesbian moms (Stef & Lena Foster) with a blended family of natural kids, fosters and adopted. A couple of weeks ago was the hot "pinky touch", next week, Connor and Jude move things along..... This show is one of the most interesting dramas involving gay issues and families. If you aren't busy next Monday at 8PM....... check it out on ABC Family.
  9. Except of course that the flag James posted isn't the Stars & Bars, this is: In fact it wasn't even a flag of the confederacy. Here is the second national flag of the Confederacy. The Southern Cross was a battle flag used early in the fighting and was square, not rectangular: The flag that everyone associates with the Confederacy now, never was a flag of the Confederacy. It was used by some select armies as a battle flag, and the navy used it as an ensign, but was never in wide use despite the popular mythology.
  10. It is what you think now, but when you are in your 60's and they are grown and don't need you any more, the memories of when you were their whole world is what you will want to hang on to.
  11. Dude, it ain't even a beard. Here is how beards look.
  12. Only Tony, because only douche bags do that trendy beard thing.

    Chapter 42

Mmmm, JJ a bottom? Well duh, name a figure skater who is a top
  14. The song was actually inspired by an actual street in NJ named Pleasant Valley Way, which sounds like a phony Hollywood street name, but the lyrics perfectly described the San Fernando Valley Experience. The Valley started to boom because of WWII as people came west for jobs in the defense plants and then really took off in the post war years as GIs came home ready to settle down and make babies. They couldn't churn out tract homes fast enough to fill the demand. I always maintain that it was the closing of the auto plants in the Valley that lead to the rise of the porn industry, no pun intended. Anyway, the song is perrrrrfect for the SF Valley, even if it was written about someplace else.
  15. I've never considered Universal Studios as part of the Valley since it sits on top of the hill bordering Hollywood and the Valley. Here is the quintessential Valley song. Here is the Valley my aunt remembers....
  16. Alex with Matt & Wade (and Co.)

    Chapter 41

Wait..... you mean chicks pretend to like you to get things out of you? Next you'll be telling me they fake orgasams too...... If Arbour has any nads, Mary Ellen will turn out to have been lying before, but now she'll really get pregnant by JJ.
  18. Inside at Jaws. https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-cl=84503534&x-yt-ts=1421914688&v=BX-55O-T5Io
  19. Except of course the incident in question happened in 2002, well after Sandusky had retired from coaching. Had the grad assistant stepped in and said, "pull your penis out of that boy Jerry", called the police with the boy still dripping wet from the showers with his anal cavity expanded, it would have been awfully tough for police to ignore and I can't imagine any policeman sweeping the penetration of a 10 year old under any rug...... shagging a uni co-ed is one thing, popping 10yo's another.
  20. Yeah I recall when I was 16 how much the character of the skank ho bag I was banging mattered....
  21. I am actually okay if the door hits you on the ass on the way out.......
  22. No. A simple phone call from the graduate assistant to the police was all that was needed. HE was the person in the in the best position to do something to stop the rapes BECAUSE HE WAS WATCHING IT. The grad assistant didn't need to tell anyone but the police.
  23. Oh hun, there is nothing inoffesive about rolled up denim shorts, a tank top when you aren't built and ugly European sandals. We only laugh behind their backs of course so they don't know we are assholes, but the affected lifestyle and dress of the "hipsters" is what we laugh at more than the actual clothes, but when you see the complete package it does become an object of derision, especially if they are drinking PBR and pretending it is a decent beer. The very pretentiousness of dinking a non-pretentious beer so you can be cool because you are so non-pretentious is a tough loop to get your mind stuck in. In the beach town I live in men's sandals never have back straps unless you are going surfing someplace to requires a walk down the cliffs, then you bust out the Reefs you use in Baja.
  24. Despite the incredible accuracy of Wikipedia, I think Orange County was already pretty popular as one of the top tourist destinations in the U.S. No one I knew talked about "The OC" other than to mock it the way we mock "hipsters" now. Schwartz was clueless about Orange County when he wrote The OC, he wrote it from an outsiders prospective with his preconceived ideas and biases. They say "write what you know" and Schwartz's lack of knowledge was glaringly obvious. The Real OC, by way of contrast was accurate in showing one slice of one town, but teens in La Habra and Westminster wouldn't have recognized half of what went on as being "real" and not the Real OC, which is a much more complex place.
