  1. LOL, 2 more to go LOL, actually I got up to 50 Anyway, it was purely coincidental I assure you, in fact in only happened because I happened to be responding to so many of Benji's posts! (and yours and Graeme's )
  2. You think? I'm not outright disagreeing, but in many ways I think the abrupt end - without the normal climb, peak, decline that a band/artist usually follows - is one of the main things that adds to the mystique and fascination. Don't get me wrong, I think the music is great in its own right and I'm fairly certain they would have produced at least a few other really good songs as well, but I think there's a very good chance that they wouldn't have nearly as much enduring success today as they do under these circumstances. Anyway, obviously I would have preferred for Kurt to have survived, but I think it's interesting to think about. Into the Night - Santana Featuring Chad Kroger
  3. I've met a few of those...I always seem to be stuck behind them
  4. It was great, and very emotionally compelling! It really gets at the feelings that a young lover feels when separated from his beloved. It makes it all the more moving to know that it's written about a specific person. Excellent job! -Kevin
  5. Ohh, what a cute little limerick! I really like it! Anger is like poison to one's soul and can be so consuming that one's sanity seems to "rot". Great job! -Kevin
  6. Of course please do! Well that's a lovely thought too! Way to go
  7. Ohh, very evocative imagery! I also really love how paradoxical and emotionally conflicted the general tone of the poem seems to be, much like life can often seem! I definitely get the impression that the author/subject is in a new, and exciting place, yet still burdened and troubled by the past. Nifty! Here's a copy of the poem for this thread just in case people have trouble finding it or don't feel like going to eFiction: A Beautiful Tragedy by Trevor I dont remember that tragic day because it made all the pain go away. I lost everything. My memory now gone. Innocence regained. Innocence now found. I sit outside and I see the sun shining The birds flying all around me. I hear the wind blowing the love soaring all around me. It was a beautiful Tragedy. I lost it all and now I get to start over. I get a new life a new beginning. I sit outside and I see the sun shining the birds flying all around me. I hear the wind blowing the love soaring all around me. It was a beautiful tragedy.
  8. Oh that was nifty! Thanks for the linky!
  9. Awww thanks, Benji!! LOL, I really didn't intend to do that! Anyway, make about 6 or 7 more and you'll be able to come sit with me on the throne again! (Or throw me off )
  10. I didn't think anyone would notice

  13. Ohhhh, that is an interesting theory! I hope that is part of it! Oh definitely! This way at least no extra people are being hurt, just more people are getting justice! That is much better
  14. hehe, I love that one too! It's ashame I never got into Nirvana until about 3 years ago I really like their stuff! Woulda been cool to follow them when they were current. "Just Like Starting Over" - John Lennon
  15. Don't worry, your own present is particularly special
  16. LOL, I don't want to get tarred and feathered myself, but I must confess I still haven't had a chance to read "Shop Till You Drop", so I'm probably not freaking out as much as you guys about not having the new chapter up on time

  18. Well according to earlier posts in this thread Ben and Emmett are the other two gay people. Ohhh, you should DL it like I did! In fact if someone can tell me how I'll send it to you *gasp* It's much more complicated than that! You just got that from a random sampling! Justin is my favourite
  19. Happy Birthday, Colin!! It's been a real pleasure getting to know you through GA, and we're all very fortunate to have such a kind, thoughtful, witty, talented, positive person in our midst. May the coming year bring you all the happiness, joy, and success that you deserve and may your birthday be the best ever! -Kevin

  21. Oh wow! I hadn't noticed! This will be my 43rd post , I guess we'll be tied. I'm about to go out for several hours though and by then several of yesterday's posts will clear out. No no, yours is right here! **holds up one labeled "King of the Evil Cliffhangers"**
  22. ***bump*** Sorry, but QAF is one of my all time favourite shows so I thought it might be fun to talk about it again! As I've frequently said I don't watch TV at all, but last year I downloaded all five seasons. I love them! I have to say that while the last episode wasn't really bad, I think I'd have preferred if they'd just ended the series after the 2nd to last episode. Any thoughts? -Kevin
  23. **grabs the mug marked "Steve" and reheats it** There ya go! If you finish that I'll warm up Ieshwar's too. I'll make a fresh batch later
  24. Hey Vic! LOL, I'm glad the instructor isn't the one you're pursuing....sounds a bit bossy. You sneaky thing! That's like...oh I dunno, stopping at a redlight and then going because no one is coming. Sounds cute, and obviously he's already been good for you. LOL, you could try to be really subtle and start going to a new gym J/K x 2 x 4!! On the bright side maybe he'll get tired of Asian guy and his incessant chatter. Hmm, I'm sure you'll come up with something! Just remember: shoulders down, tummy in, & stick your ass out! Good Luck, Vic! We're all pulling for ya! Take care and have an awesome day! Kevin
