  1. Hmm, a tad more than a new ballpark
  2. Ah, but according to the stats for this thread: you, yourself, Jan have almost twice as many posts as I do! And Beastkid and Benji have more than THREE TIMES the number of posts!
  3. AWESOME movie!
  4. Do you mean because of my positive, "can-do" attitude? Or because of my long arms? Or *gasp* something else?
  5. LOL I've been expecting (and have myself been considering creating) a thread like this ever since the parents thread. Actually, I'm almost positive we have one somewhere in the Lounge. Hmm, lets see, my own additions: BBS - Be Back Soon IDK - I don't know WW - Wrong Window BTW - By the way WTF - What the .... WTG - Way to go! OMG - traditionally "Oh my god", although when I use it I usually mean "Oh my gosh" LOL - Laughing out loud I'll see if I can come up with more later. Have a great day all! Kevin
  6. LOL, the companion to bestest no doubt. Not having read the book I can't offer an opinion, but I know people who thought it was the bestest movie
  7. His hot chocolate is going to get cold
  8. The evidence suggests otherwise -Kevin
  9. This is indeed a very disturbing trend I wonder to what we can attribute this rise? The only guess I could venture is that with an increase in the amount of publicity that gay marriage has gotten (a good thing ) there's an inevitable backlash from those vehemently opposed (a bad thing ). Marty is Irish! Only member I can recall off hand though. Interesting article, Jack, thanks! Have an awesome day and take care all! Kevin
  10. That does sound good! I've been meaning to watch this movie. Loved this movie! It always takes me back to college because it was one of the first movies I saw with my friends my first semester and then it just kept coming up and coming up over and over again! Wonderful movie! I've been wanting to see this movie! Your experience ("I don't know. All of my friends went on and on about how good it was. I just didn't see it. I mean, yeah, it had a good message.") is very similar to my own with Brokeback Mountain. The rest of the gay community flipped for it and I was like "ho hum". My theory is that because of GA we have a greater exposure to really good gay stories than the average member of the gay community, so we can afford to be more discerning. Saw bits of this at various points in school, but never the whole thing. Should definitely add this to my list as well. I didn't realize there were so many of these! LOL I think I saw the first two of each. Never saw Bend it Like Bechham or Moulin Rouge, but I've always wanted to. Saw and loved the rest! So I know you didn't want to, but you totally just enticed me with that description! Another one I've always wanted to see! I really should make a list! Have an awesome day all! Kevin
  11. The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia - Reba Macentire

  13. Good Morning, all! Who wants hot chocolate?
  14. Ohh, I've heard so many good things about Dogma! It's definitely on my list of movies I need to watch!
  15. I have a friend who's been particularly awesome during the last couple of weeks when I've been in some rough waters. I've already thanked him but I'd like to think up a more thoughtful, concrete way of doing it.
  16. I loved Friends With Money! It's one of my favourite newer movies too! It and Spiderman 3 definitely blew the other summer movies outta the water IMO. Oh I love Harvey! Wonderful movie! I haven't seen it in years
  17. LOVE that song! Especially given my recent break ups  Puddle of Mudd - Famous
  18. Hi all! I thought it might be fun to create a thread for "movie suggestions" or general comments about movies you've seen recently. The last movie I saw in theaters was: Into the Wild - this isn't really at all my type of movie, but a friend really wanted to see it so I went. It was actually really good and I'm glad I saw it. Basically it's about this guy's quest to find freedom in the wilderness. For the Bible Tells Me So - Awesome movie! It follows several Christian families and their emotional journeys as they deal with having a gay person in the family. I strongly recommend this one! Closer - IMO, the ultimate "anti-romantic" movie! Nightmare Before Christmas - So fun! I just saw it for the first time a few weeks ago! Take care all and have a great day! -Kevin
  19. Since it's now been more than two months, I thought I'd declare "Colour" the winner
  20. So, have you had any of these activities yet, Adrian? Any news on how things are rolling along?
  21. Singing! Ice or steam?
  22. I never know the weather forecast. The person below me saw something unusual today and will proceed to tell us about it.
  23. Hmm, why do I get the feeling you aren't looking for "Al Gore" as an answer? I'll keep my vices private and demure to the next poster. What's your favourite vice?
