  1. Hmm, I don't know how that is offhand, so I guess I can't commit myself either way. The person below me does know who Kevin Smith is and will list a few of his most popular movies in an attempt to jog my memory. Edit: seems I cross-posted. I'd be happy for a chapter update....even though I'm not currently reading either story eventually I want to so the more chapters the better.
  2. Hey Nick! First of all congrats on being all legal and ready to roll! I'm sure you're a GREAT driver! Sounds like you had a really good time on the trip! So you never did figure out what the small was on the airplane? That is pretty scary! At least you slept for the flight home! I'm so proud of Taylor for taking care of that guy and his rude remarks too! I hope he does write something. I know I seem to suffer from the same problem. I've got a million ideas, but I never manage to put any of them on paper...or if I do I get distracted and never get back to it. It really sucks So glad you got to walk around El Vista like you wanted to Yay, for your great great grandmother! I hope I'm still gambling at 100 Poor James and the cute starbucks guy! I can just imagine him going back over and over to talk to him lol. Anyway I can't wait to read more of Bodega bay! You had a REALLY amazing first chapter! Take care and have a teriffic day! Kevin
  3. Dan is right. I'm not mildly allergic to something in the house I grew up in. Although in general I've been healthier since I moved out so perhaps it always got me a little. Much worse now though. Anyway you may get readjusted and if not at least you can hope that wherever you move to the allergin won't follow. Good to know. Sharon
  4. Welcome to the board Objectivist! It's really great to have you here Well personally I'm one of my favourite people to take out. Yesterday I treated myself to a romantic dinner, and then eventually ended up in a warm bubble bath with candles and a glass of wine. It was fantastic! ......I really need a boyfriend don't I? Kevin
  5. Happy Birthday, James!! I hope you have a really teriffic day and an even more amazing year! You're a fantastic person and I wish you all the best Kevin

  8. ohh I definitely agree with that! (even the first part about the sexy British accent ) The person below me saw something indescribable today and isn't even going to try to describe it to us.
  9. I want to commend Kitty for her hard work and time spent organizing and going through all the entries and Luigi for his hard work with the page layouts (which looked really great!). They did an awesome job and you can really tell when you look at the end product! Thanks you guys! Kevin
  10. I think the thing I enjoyed most about this story is that of all the other entries it felt the most like a regular vacation. I mean it definitely covered serious topics relating to Jacob's family (and to a lesser extent Alex's), but to me that seems to fit in nicely with family vacations anyway. (Vacations and holidays were always when all of my own family issues were most likely to boil to the surface anyway  ). It was really awesome how not only the story heavy at one points, and romantic at others, but also just all around "fun". With the sand castles and the restaurants and the walks on the beach it just felt like a nice family vacation. Oh and the arguing over cds, definitely family vacationish. It was an awesome story, Nick, and as always a delightful and pleasing read! Thanks for writing it and sharing it with us all. Way to go! Kevin

  12. Hey Lugh! I really enjoyed the story, it was extremely creative and enjoyable! Did you make up the races just for the sake of this story or do you have other stories with these races? Anyway I definitely enjoyed the suspense factor that came from not quite knowing enough about the culture of each race to know how they were likely to react. I'm still very interested to know what will happen when the fathers find out, since after all they are political enemies. Of course I'd also like to find out what happens when Keefer has to marry that woman. Anyway great job! Kevin
  13. Excellent job, Nick! I really enjoyed this story. I loved how what started out as a summer fling turned into something more serious and romantic! I also loved the supporting characters. Addie seemed really cool, I was crazy about Eleanor, and Eric's parents seemed really great. I was initially thinking his grandparents might be a problem, but I'm so glad all that worked out for the best. I also really enjoyed the style in which this story was written! I did have one question though, did you mean for Eric's ex-boyfriend's name to keep changing?

  15. WOW Snowy!! I loved this story! It was incredible. Not only was the storyline extremely interesting, but it was also very moving (yeah I cried again ). I was so disappointed when things returned to "normal", but then the last few chapters were so positive and inspiring that it ended the story on a very hopeful note. I also hope (and firmly believe) that things can turn out that way for the author too . Thank you so much for sharing with us what must have been a very difficult story to write. It was truly amazing and inspiring If you get a chance I'd love to read more of your work! Awesome job, take care, and good luck with everything!! Kevin
  16. I enjoyed this story. I found it to be very different from what one might expect. I really liked how stuff with Marco didn't exactly go as planned, but things worked out anyway. Tad definitely had an interesting, and very complicated relationship with Joyce. She seemed like quite a friend! I also really hope that Mark and Anthony turn out to be supportive as well. I was shocked with what happened with his mother, but I thoroughly enjoyed the scene. I must say she's definitely very atypical to be buying him a cruise ticket though. I can definitely see how this would throw him for a loop at first. Still it looks like everything will work out. Great job, Umbathri! Kevin

  18. Wow, Luc! You have this uncanny ability to make me cry everytime I read something you write! (which I totally love by the way) I found this story to be extremely moving and compelling. It perfectly described the feelings and behaviour of someone who's deep in mourning but trying to hold it together and carry on. It really felt like a deeply intimate, personal look into someone's life. I also loved the serendipitous meeting of Dave and the possibility of new hope that it seemed to offer. Life (and death) are truly like this. Excellent job! I'll certainly remember who to go to next time I need a good cry Thanks for sharing this with us! Kevin

  20. I really enjoyed this story! At first I thought Austin was kind of frustrating, but he soon turned into a really great character! I'm really glad he decided to be impulsive and go with it. As C James said that's what a vacation is all about! I like to think I'd have made the same decision. I also really enjoyed the part where he was debating having coffee with Mathieu and he remembered how is mother had told him not to talk to strangers but then he realized she'd never told him not to have coffee with them! Anyway it was a thoroughly enjoyable story and while the ending might not have been exactly what everyone was hoping, it was realistic and as Austin says "it was definitely it" Great job, David! Kevin
