[Vlista] Cameron Chapter 14
AFriendlyFace replied to GaryO's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Hmm, well I think for the most part she wouldn't really feel that much differently than the rest of the family. I mean I guess there's a range. Obviously Kyle isn't as down on it as Mr. Harris. I guess chances are Mrs. Harris isn't quite as fundamentalist about the issue either, but I'd guess she's probably not anymore accepting than Kyle would be. Just a guess though. She probably would handle it differently though. Well I mean I think they'd all react differently. Mr. Harris we can pretty much guess about. Kyle I think would be upset, but he'd probably keep it between himself and Cameron, and try to talk about it with him. I think Mrs. Harris would fall somewhere between there. She may or may not go to her husband with the information. Just my guess though. I agree Cameron was completely adorable in this chapter! He certainly seems to be head over heels for Cole! hmmm well I don't think you'd want a boyfriend just like Cameron Anyway have an awesome day everyone Kevin -
This reminds me of an interesting story I feel compelled to share. At my previous job I was reviewing a job application (I didn't have final say in who got hired, but they liked my opinion), and under the section asking about work history one of our questions was, "why did you leave your last job", to which this particular lady had responded, "I had a baby. I was bed ridding" I'm quite sure that was meant to be "bedridden" (probably from an unfortunate complication with the delivery or pregnancy), but it certainly looked freakishly like an explanation for why she had the baby. Actually I'm scared to look now, it'll probably make me sad . The person below me did look and is sad

I never realized that's what it was about! That sounds delightful; I'll have to check it out. Welcome to the forum Bkite! WOW! You sure are an avid (and fast) reader . It's a good thing this site's so big, that way you won't get bored! lol The suggestions made sound really good, though of the list you just generated I'm only familar with Vance (Vlista) and Little Buddha's work. Oh and you should definitely read all of Vance's stuff , especially the current serial Cameron, but of everything I'd say my favourite is Shane Yep, yep! Efiction is really great, sadly I haven't explored it as thoroughly as I should, but I must say as far as stand out stories (that I've read) you should definitely look into NickolasJames8, I really like all his work but particularly My Jump Off. Camy's Albert's Day is also excellent, and I just started reading and enjoying Nicks_A_Writer's Out There. As far as other suggestions go, I strongly recommend Replay by Rhawes16 (also check out his short stories, Best Friend is incredible). Also don't forget Luc, I just read his Interlude and cried my eyes out (both these authors can be found on the main hosted page. Anyway take care and let us know what you think! Also please drop by the forums of the hosted authors, and leave comments after the chapters of the authors in Efiction. Feedback is generally very important to and much appreciated by the writers! Kevin

Hey everyone! After a cliffy like that I just thought it might be fun for us all to speculate on who exactly it is that saw Cameron and Cole kissing. Let's all vote and find out, and let everyone know why you picked what you did I'm voting for Kyle because when I first read it that was just my gut reaction. Anyway take care everyone! Kevin

[Vlista] Cameron Chapter 14
AFriendlyFace replied to GaryO's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Awesome Chapter!! I agree with the majority. When I read that my first thought was that it might be Kyle too. This was my other thought! Just incase it ended up being like anti-climatic. Yep they are out to Jesse. So I guess that would be like "best case scenario". On the other hand the "Mr. Harris forgot his Bible" line does seem pretty significant, and also if it were Jesse he probably wouldn't be secretive about it, he'd have just knocked or something (I would think). It was extremely nice of Cameron to mow his dad's lawn! Now I can't wait to find out if his dad saw him or not. I'm still completely at a loss to guess whether or not they end up working out their differences or not. I'm sure we're all VERY eager to read more after that cliffhanger! The next chapter is sure to be a great one!! Awesome job, Vance! Kevin -
[DomLuka] wt 12 pre-release discussion
AFriendlyFace replied to ppete's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Welcome to the forum Bkite! Yep, it'll be great to start reading and discussing Dom's work again LOLOL well I guess that's as good a plan as any I'm eager to read the new short story and always happily awaiting WT 12. I'm sure it'll be awesome! In the meantime I hope everyone has an awesome day! Kevin -
Hey James! Thanks for the advice; you're completely right about the decision making me nervous. It wouldn't be so bad if I was on a leave of absense or something, but it's driving me crazy that I don't even know if I'll be any good at it once I finally start. I mean theoretically I could be lousy at it or really hate it and have to change jobs anyway, then I'd just have wasted all this time. For the most part though I'm pretty positive about it, I really think I will like it and do okay. Yeah, you're right I should try to stay active and get more exercise. I've been thinking of joining this gay softball league, hmmm. Anyway thanks for the advice! Take care and have a great day! Kevin

Hey Nick! Thanks , I'm feeling alot better today. Yesterday I suddenly felt MUCH worse and couldn't go out at all. It was bad I had the worst headache, extremely bad nausea, and I felt weak and dizzy. So I ended up just laying down alot and trying to take it easy, but today I'm feeling WAY better and pretty much back to normal Anyway take care and have a great day! Kevin

The last few days I've been pretty blah. I don't know what the deal is; I'm usually a pretty energetic person, but lately all I want to do is sleep. I went to bed freakishly early last night, slept for about 11 hours...and now all I want to do is crawl back in bed, and I've barely been up 2 hours. This is pretty much the same thing I did day before yesterday. Yesterday I forced myself to stay up (well till I went to bed really early), but I was definitely worn down most of the day. I kinda hope I'm getting sick. I hope this because it would at least make sense then. Of course I hope it's nothing serious . I know the best thing for me would be to fix myself up, and just go out. I've just been hanging around in PJ's or sloppy clothes the last few days. This is always a bad sign for my physical/emotional state. I don't think I'm cut out for "comfortable clothes"...they make me ....uncomfortable. Well I like them to sleep in, but see that's because they tend to suck the energy out of me...and that's ideal for sleeping, but not for day to day life. Perhaps part of it is that I'm actually more or less in sync with the rest of the world's sleep schedule. I'm going to bed at night instead of staying up till at least 3 or 4 and sleeping till noon. You'd think this would be a good thing, and it's nice in lots of ways, I do prefer to keep those hours...but it's very unnatural for me, perhaps that's why my body's rebelling. I've basically been on one long vacation ever since I moved in mid-May (well a little before actually, I quit work about May 8th or 9th). I don't think I'm bored exactly; I'm very seldom bored. I'm never at a loss for things I want to do...I just seem to be at a loss for the energy to do them. Anyway I'm ready to "start" working. I've had a job for what a month now? But I still haven't actually started. See first I had to do training, then I had to take my licensing exam, and all that went fine, but now I'm waiting for the state, and the company to process all the paper work and send me my actual license. Until that happens I'm just in limbo. It'll probably still be another 2 or 3 weeks . You'd think I'd be happy about the long break from work. And I really am, I've been having fun, it's just that now my savings are dwindling a bit and I can't afford to do most of the things I want to do. I do have some specific things I could write about...like my 7 hour adventure at the DMV, or random other incidents and activities. I sure these would be slightly more entertaining than my whining....but I don't feel like writing about them. Anyway sluggish and blah or not I'm going to force myself to get moving today. I'm going to go have a nice hot bath, shave, wash and fix my hair, slather on some lotion ( and sunscreen of course) then put on something that doesn't make me look like formless blob. Then I'm going to go out and find something entertaining to do. Take care everyone Kevin

LOL I haven't played it...but I have forgotten to add the "person below me" at least once maybe twice! **blush** The person below me has been directly above me at a different phase of the game
