Oh I think this chapter fit the story perfectly, after all it is THE BEST YEAR.This coming of age senior year tale not only brings forth the characters but does so in a most realistic way; parents that accept the transition of their offspring into adulthood, and those that believe as parents they shall forever have veto over their child’s life decisions. The prom night was the culmination of these friends and acquaintances leaning on each other rather than cowering, hiding behind parents, or rather to have some parents pushing them from the nest…the tough lessons of survival. Cinzilla is out of line and out of control. Observant adults should have already seen this coming and tried to fill the chaperone slots with more respected and therefore persuasive teachers/parents; not a hot head, drag you to the office type oppressor, that holds little respect for the young adults and verse-versa. My opinion…Jackson is a classical senior male, finding it hard to see where he fits in as a transitioning adult, and no confidence to commit to longer term goals that remain unknown; but yes, he has found personal focus and has found a relationship beyond childhood friends and lifetime buddies. While Jackson outwardly showed his lack of adult goals and adult like behavior before, he has shown commitment and determination beyond so many of his peers. Perhaps his prior behavior also made him more accepting of criticism and confident to live a little under his own will and determination; but perhaps now he is more likely to stay within adult boundaries…at least for appearances. In my mind Jackson is good to his core, and fun loving, so not necessarily the best news for those wanting life without trills; but is the converse the epitome of Cinzilla, reflecting the stress of Luke and their family drama? Jackson rules and there is a reason Jackson and Luke or mutually attracted. A significant night, in a significant year, where friends and memories often last a lifetime…good or bad. So hell yeah, I think this is a great chapter that supports the story without distraction.

Ahhh, the three Musketeers pull a playful skit that is far from The Three Stooges but played well in jocular spontaneity; I’m glad the teacher didn’t take it as a challenge of arrogant bluster.

Hmmm 🧐, Rusty’s conundrum of retaining fantasies with Slicky Coolplums while realizing Matty is much more than fantasies; let’s merge the two and enjoy the explosion of an overjoyed Rusty. Everyone put your hands up…let’s twist and shout!

Is this synonymous with putting in a pet (cat) door? Hmmm 🤔, where to stash the cat outfit now that the roomy is brainwashed and present, and Rusty remains transfixed and incapable of connecting the dots back to his favorite FWB ❤️

Just where is that hot 🥵 emoji amongst the story emoticons? Can it be made to salivate too? Hahaha 🤪 🧐

Connor is such a sniveling baby that even the virgin claws of our young cat-boy such bring tears and prospective to his underdeveloped brain and cold soul. May he suffer significant rug burns as the cat-boy drags out the stinky trash (his conniving ass) with a full out pouncing slide!

So glad Jackson is safe, but after many references to Jackson’s ability to screw things up…well, a crash wouldn’t be beyond his life as once again he has painted himself into a corner. Oh, but you capture the teen/young adult angst so well; balancing play against goals and rewards, personal goals weighed against that of parent’s expectations but then complicating that with young love and influence of friendship bonds of the strong youthful, growing up together type…, and the hormonal chaos unleashed in the developing brain; there has to be a drink named for that! Jackson is not an ego, driven by jock muscles type. He is a human Labrador pup; lots of untamed, uncalmed energy but with great sense of bonding that reveals protective natures when challenged; how can we not fall in love with him as he figures out his role in life. Luke is obedient to Cindy, parents, and religious up bringing to a fault, and that fault is the crack coming from his heart’s desire; desire for his love and to find his own destiny within the more general constructs of untainted religion. Thanks for continuing their journey @Krista and letting their characters act out with true youthful energy and experiencing the mental anguish of becoming themselves as they prepare to take another step towards leaving the nest. Bravo, I love the story as much as every…more, more! Hahaha 🤪

OMG, please get Jackson home safe. His exhaustion level with a one hour drive home is a … killer (argh); don’t you dare injure, maim, or deny Jackson his chance to collect his reward from hard fought challenges. Luke needs is man healthy and home, not injured so he can show how he will stay by his critically injured boyfriend despite Cindzilla’s adamant objections. NO! DON’T GO THERE!! 😖 Cindzilla needs her balls caught in an industrial wood chipper and then treat her injuries with a whirlpool of rock salt and razor blades. Don’t worry Cindzilla, we have an iodine dip awaiting your needs following your traumatic “accident.” It’s so realistic the changes in Jackson as he thinks more of what Luke will like and accept, as Luke seems to need Jackson to coach him into an individual beyond bible Cindzilitarization.

Exactly, hmmm, the head of the secret Verseckt has a secret….kinda hard to pull off a grand SURPRISE with that one; but without a clear leader to answer to, it does lend itself to unchecked power. That is not beyond concern given that Wren is a very long range planner and his objectives may or may not lay true with that of the council. Poor Talon, his simple, lonely, life is now a cherished memory as he is living with all his most challenging adversaries, bonded to: the powers of sunshine, the grips of earth’s hands, and the bite of baby lightning bolt. No doubt he seeks counsel from the Council of Uncles, but is that for internal or external politics? 🤪

It’s like marriage, verbal is the obvious, it’s the nonverbal that either makes or breaks you! 😝

Though it makes Bouncer seem vicious at first glance, the real villains were vicious with anyone, civilians and military alike, if it didn’t self-perpetuate themselves to remain absolute rulers. So it is rather fitting that Bouncer cleaned up their world…indeed protective, but perhaps he enjoyed added pleasures given the liberty to rectify those that wronged his pack.

Oh wow, that would definitely be a twist. I certainly hope that’s not the case. Likewise I hope Carter doesn’t suffer in the hands of his captors; I suspect his usefulness to the captors is more for coastal and port navigation of which the captors failed when wrecking the first ship on the barrier islands. This is all within a situation where value and usefulness is subject to spontaneous irrational logic of spoil brats.
