Hmmm, I wonder if Grandpa Mott has the moxie to get Roger to place Rebecca in a position just close enough to see generalities or perhaps 🤔 make her watch edited tapes, to ensure no control is gained by Rebecca, but to witness the interview exposed horrors these kids have had. Then maybe make her watch de-identified tapes of the kids’ deplorable situations being rescued from. Oh cherish the in-terror-gations [free non-medical amputations, with free trauma care…at least cauterized wound care); hey now, we have a pretty good history of extending life under these conditions! Argh 😖 evil 😈 lurks. Dexter is a cockroach. He had resources tracking the family to locate the boys. Hopefully this doesn’t speak of betrayal from within or close to the family now, as the new house and new life doesn’t need future nightmares in their safe space. Laura was too calm and her showing remorse was uncharacteristic. Has anyone kept a close watch on her contacts? Knowing her it may very well be from within the prison/jail but it seems her calm demeanor is a vail for sweet revenge. However, it could be that she has helped train Dexter to be even more sinister than herself. Why terrorize the kids? Jeremy is kidnapped with what seems to be Carter as the target to be ransomed of his wits. So the innocent kids was extra cruel for a person claiming love for Jeremy and his family. Does Dexter now identify them as Ethan still haunting him in his lost love derangement? Argh, get over it Dexter, and not the kids!

A nice backstory to how it came together. Matthew lived and despite the murder attempt, disclose d his brother’s diary. Surprisingly, Jeremy was not overcome by denial, nor hanging onto the many lies Laura had raised him to believe, using hatred to instill that belief. He finally listened, and Carter talked. Together they came up with a plan for Laura to rejoice in her full arrogance for another manipulative victory…at the expense of more lives. Vest or not, standing before a lunatic with a gun aimed at you is a tough commitment; vital organs are protected but key areas for vulnerable and quick death still remain. A simple shot to the head, neck, or strategic arteries of the arm or leg (ouch, near the groin too) could end your life with minutes. Having been subjected to having a shotgun in my face many years ago, the realization that one simple shot can be terminal, no doubts, no second chances, as resuscitation will not be possible. Where is Dexter? OMG, I kept imagining him inducing coitus interruptus, during their heated bonding; that just how evil Dexter’s character is and how spontaneously he has been popping up.

It’s looking better for David as his anger is changing more towards acceptance. His sense of mourning and loss gives him opportunities to talk and visit at the time and place of his choosing. I just hope it doesn’t become a crutch to hobble away from socializing. His interest in architecture remains so I’m optimistic he will be ok.

So terribly sad and so hard to handle at the age where those friendships and attachments are so powerful. Ironically, before this chapter posted today, I was thinking back to decades ago when I was a sophomore in high school. A dear friend, a little brother by one year to a classmate was killed in a motorcycle accident. I was seeing his face and remembering interacting with him the last I saw him. It was only a day or two before the tragedy of his death that we were out working on a family car. He was a special young man and I was developing stronger feelings for him. He was so friendly with me it’s hard to know if it was just him or if he was developing feelings too. Unfortunately, I never got to find out. Instead I had to watch a dear young teen lowered into the ground, and here I am more than 50 years later missing that young friend with a special smile and a shared interest in cars. Ironic that this posted today, yet it seems to validate the emotions I feel and that this young man will never forget.

Too bad that her talents were unduplicated. What a character though, to continue treatments even while fighting her own pains of arthritis; that has varying degrees from mild to severe itself. What a treat for young Michael, two have two loving families merged. And what a gift, to be invited back into young Michael’s life with aide to make a move in relocating and charging jobs. Wow, they have witnessed and come to know saints.

Oil made some really significant breakthroughs on this very busy day. He pushed himself amongst strangers to help set up for his brothers. Then the brothers arrived, with everyone so important to him this last year, his blood brother Jasper appeared with his bond brothers; even showing ties to his in adopted brother Mark. Despite the overload of new people pressing his trust and boundaries, he hung in there. Oil was rewarded to have his unexpected family reunion with brother and accepting parents. Fortunately, the parents were well prepared and Oli was able to host his parents along with his brothers in their new home. Very subtle, but significant was the air of the reunion the family of brothers enjoyed…over Chicago pizza 🍕, a lottery win of sheets and slices all in one day! It’s great that the many soldiers of the Academy got to see the reward of their efforts in full emotional display as the boys reunited with Oli and even showed some signs of feeling safe; even trusting a little in their providers. Such a shame that a greedy sister has become so obsessed that she is willing to destroy all family ties; her sister, her husband and kids, and then her dad that has strayed back towards making amends with the evil older sister; strange that she judges the sister as evil…must be that Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall that she has been listening to. The DA and the Deputy have opened new talks, with eyes, and now ears, it seems they have discovered new feelings and want to explore that. It appears the twins have made their move and demand none other than the two Mr Cicero’s, Roger and Thomas; the time to move may be rapidly approaching. Great chapter, and a nice break with movement towards finding more kids; bravo for the newest brothers able to endure and break free.

You forget, Sunny agreed Arsen is a snack. There were several hints of a Sunny/Arsen attraction, so …what is the world of Jacob coming to. 🤣 Jacob has a Nave Demi-god boyfriend but he himself has inherited an unknown to most title of Prince …of Nave and Skai. A true El’odian Prince. And given the believed lost Royal Skai Bloodline, with the lost Crown Prince (Jacob’s dad) and then the loss of their King, Jacob is their rightful Crown Prince and therefore Skai King by blood rights. Likewise, the Nave lost their King, and their Crown Prince (Jacob’s papa). Uncle Soullen is/was still too young and was never installed as King; and is not prepared for this world. Q is highly qualified but hasn’t the desire to ascend to King due to is father and his respect to the true bloodline. Therefore, Jacob is the rightful Crown Prince of the Nave by blood. Navek is bound to know and perhaps that is his interest in Jacob. The Great Mother knows but can’t interfere…yet she sees Jacob as not needing the strife of his parents as much as continuing to grow as he already is. So yes, the Great Mother knows, and she has much hope for Jacob…as she did for his fathers. 🙏 Skai and Nave can’t be re-programmed, but perhaps they can be conditioned to resist. They will all be like AA members, constantly striving for another day to resist those innate, god programmed, instincts to kill their brothers.

Dalton is done…for now. With his experiences and his studies I could see many possibilities for another book of Dalton adventures.

Hey now, it’s been the better part of 27 chapters in this book of Carter (us) losing, so let us savor this huge win for a few hours (on the story clock that is). Hahaha 😝 Yes, Dexter has been plotting and I’m totally surprised he didn’t pop out to comfort Laura in her grief…so does that mean Dexter knew the truth already? If so, it means he wasn’t far removed and yet he remains undetected. Dexter is even more delusional than Laura but he masks his game better than the ever shouting and public blaming of Laura. Dexter is a sneaky but very dangerous enemy, with the contacts of his and Laura’s fresh on his dial. Hopefully, with Laura’s arrest many of those hit men hires are running to distance themselves; leaving Dexter to operate as a much more restricted lunatic.

Oh goodness, let’s say they “are aging gracefully “ as they are only in their later 40s. 😆 That’s still young when looking from years beyond. My young neighbor boy of 8yo likes to joke of my age. He means no harm but at 8 he sees me as very old. Recently after discussing his young parents, early 30s, he commented that I was so old I’ll probably die next year. His innocence and lack of fully comprehending the circle of life, makes him joke as if he was joking with his peers…it’s just his joking jab with giggles. 🤭 Meanwhile, I know I’m not necessarily going to be around to see him truly become a mature man at his peek; 30 for him puts me pushing 90. Unfortunately, the law of averages doesn’t give me the most favorable odds. 🎲 The reflection of life, the value of family, the cost to enjoy such a family, the cost of not valuing family, etc., is all integrated into this story. Mickey’s dad destroyed is family and himself, the ex-Mrs Peterson destroyed others while teaching her kids that was normal behavior which then lead to her self destruction, the neighborhood family that pulled together sometimes in place of blood family estranged or geographically separated but bonded and unyielding, all comes together to remind us to cherish each other and what we have before we loose it, or transfer disconnected values that will come back to haunt us in our lonely days. Yes, I’ve enjoyed this story immensely for all the different subtle meanings of life, and to my neighbor boy I quote Monty Python in saying “I’m not dead yet!” 😄

Hmmm 🤔, perhaps a few more legal battles would be nice. To learn that the ex-Mrs Patterson and sons have been taken to task by other entities seeking damages, etc. To learn that she and they suffer, much as they hounded Drew and Mickey, would be a delightful legal battle snippet worth enduring. As those damages would be unpaid as ordered by the courts, then imprisonment in other than white collar minimum security is appropriate, as their crimes were often in absentia. Further opportunities to do harm must weigh heavily on the sentencing; time and location. After all, thousands of blue collar works lost jobs, retirements, and possibly their homes due to their personal greed. The tragic news at the end of the chapter was a major blow…one chapter remaining…until the next book; Drew, Mickey, and the neighboring families…deal with high school teens, proms, partners, grandkids, etc. It is expected soon and should be a great read too! Can’t say that I picture a knife phallic, butt if the blade draws blood without drawing blood, then it’s logical, right? Hmmm, glazed fruit, what a novel idea. This reminds me of Balls-on-it Dressing, many people speak of the zestiness being refreshing as it too is a unique version of tosssed salad.

Well…in criminal court, damages for loss of life is standardized and then earnings potential added. I think the Vera be life for damages is up around 1.6 million now days. Wouldn’t the converse apply to saving the life? 🤯 🤣
