    Chapter 1

Hmmm, the computer dies, inspiring the thoughts of hand written tomes and necromantic magic to animate the lifeless; how ironic those thoughts! 🧐 An interesting birth of a magical tale.
  2. While I have a deep appreciation for the interest in what the readers want, I also believe authors need to follow their own inspiration first. Your strength and comfort of creativity may be neutral between the two stories, but if not, I encourage you to go first with your passion; for there is where I think you’ll flourish without fatigue. That said, I must say Spirit of Fire is what holds my interest more at this time. In all fairness, I have just re-read both stories from beginning to end of posts; a welcomed task, for these stories are of my favorites of all the stories I have read, and have to chose is not an easy task. Short of cloning Stellar two times over, one for each Veil of Shadow, and Spirit of Fire, so Stellar may be free to create yet another masterpiece, I feel the next book in the SoF will bring the most new and exciting material. I understand very much the love of Shay, Mira, Konstantin, and others; I hold their story near and dear. The character development and the love between the prime characters was more straight forward and easy to identify with. In contrast, the Spirit of Fire is more complex from the beginning and therefore, the character development was slower as constrained by the suspenseful nature of storyline. But in the course of the first and single book comparisons, the Spirit of Fire had a broader cast list and deeper development for me. The Veil of Shadow cast list expanded from Hidden Sunlight, but so did the many stages from which the story must now be told. Now, the Spirit of Fire, I believe the prime characters will come more center stage, and though less passion may be expected, the strengths of love, humanity, and truth, will be in direct conflict with power, deceit, and manipulation.

    Epilogue

This book is an amazing beginning to what seems to be more of an introductory book to a much deeper story; though it be every bit a book in its own right. One hell of a journey, to get to the central theme of the storyline that so strongly gaffed us from the very beginning: “My name is Torsten and right now, I am witnessing the beginning of the end of the world.” The magic of the story for me is woven in discovery, love, mythology, theology, and politics. These fictional reflections of life as it was, is, and should be within this magical world you’ve created is so very powerful. You create such attachments to characters that it’s impossible to not be fully vested in the suspense, excitement, trills, and chills of what the story brings.
  4. I just wanted to say thank you but found myself in a qwerty, ahem, quirky mood. Sincerely; Thank you for all entertainment your stories provide and the wonderful personally you bring to the comments. You’re a ray of sunshine, Laura!
  5. Jett-ed to collect, as muscle of the mob, Opening the door to wonder April fools or job? A Huntsman for a Summer, with a debt to pay, Installment of principal, for care of Jay. From Mining Crypto to researchIng a fever, April and Jett, will prove a believer. It’s hard to describe, beyond Theo-retical, Zane-y enough to become hysterical! A baby of blood? Or, just magic to bond, Our Two young lovers, with love for beyond. Fear

Though it be popular for many to stereotypically jump on the bash Bama bandwagon, perhaps the ignorance projected is better left to true data and experiences; to do otherwise is practicing the same ignorance you projected upon others. I too am from Alabama, and likewise have traveled the world, but especially around the US. This is a blatant reminder that comes to my mind here, U=U is a campaign for all the nation and the world, not just to educate the claimed, and embarrassing, idiots projected to only live in Alabama. BTW, the entire population of Alabama is less than many big cities, so it is more fair when compared to many less populated areas of the nation. Likewise, the experiences of yesterday still influences the present. The early days of aids and the lack of understanding that led to the loss of millions of lives is not a “it ain’t no big thang” to be judgmental of others who have not yet had reason to seek the information and updates of today. I too am on PrEP, I’m religious of my dosage and my follow up testing. But, I too lost several personal friends and some ex-lovers to AIDS. There is NO CURE; only a claim of U=U. U=U is very true, IF all conditions are met and compliance is true. So IF the POZ individual establishes a 6 month undetectable period, IF they stay committed to their ART regiment, IF their body continues to respond to the cocktail prescribed, IF the medical testing is performed on schedule, correctly and without error, then the U= U is confirmed FOR A 3 MONTH PERIOD; and only three months without the whole process repeating. The U=U is for reporting of a POZ person REMAINING under proper care and dosage. The data reporting of new infections does not consider a non-compliant POZ transmission as a failure of U=U but of the individual. I know of individuals that claim Undetectable but have broken from their regiment and monitoring because they feel they are and have been Undetectable long enough, and when they discontinued the meds they personally felt better; and they still tested Undetectable; they are not from nor do they live in Alabama! Undetectable is not remission and it is does not reflect cured. Therefore, they have lied to themselves and others to claim U=U; if not in compliance then Undetectable does not equal Unable to transmit, the data is not there to support that claim; their claim would only be applicable for a snapshot in time at the time of their test. So as a parent, do you trust the other person without any thought of reservations, with limited knowledge and familiarity to you, without any evidence of trustworthiness beyond the admission of being POZ, to be responsible with your child's health, with all the IFs of reliability of claim to U=U? And remember, while rare, not all people respond or can tolerate the HIV treatments of ART, so infection of your child can still lead to death from complications of HIV. It’s still a big thing, as it involves a lot of trust, a lot of compliance, and there are no take backs.

    Chapter 19

Some people lose all humanity when corrupted by power; realistic, but sad.

    Resurgence

Poor Celeste, a stalwart protector of Torsten and a distinguished agent for the order; so sad to see that strong character ceded by betrayal from a historic ally. Torsten’s words too, seemed to be those spoken by Celeste as she witnessed, in her final moments, the confirmation of the ultimate betrayal by the Lady Shiba.

    Resurgence

You go Lucy! Far from the carefree chatterbox we were introduced to just a short time ago. She has gained much respect for the seriousness of the alter world she now lives. Her trust in Crowley, and his in her, is an amazing transformation. Fortunately, Lucy knew exactly when her time to act was; at least saving herself and Crowley thus far! Kudos to her friendship, trust, and bravery.

    Chapter 14

More subtle hints of the Beast within, and of the concession to accept his mate. It's hard to remember that the strong Lycan leader, Bastian, is recovering from such a brutally traumatic captivity; he has to be very strong indeed to survive that without a debilitating PTSD. The opportunity to deal with Trevor and perhaps dismantle this evil project may be the only therapy to bring him to a full recovery. If he can control the Beast by giving it focus, then the spotlight of the project’s success will also show the impending doom about to be unleashed; the old expression of “be careful what you wish for” should linger in the minds of those dirty bastards!

    Chapter 49

Yes! Like yawning in public, the more familiar or closer the relationship with the propagator the more likely and quicker the shared reaction in audiences.

    Everyone But Us

Lol, almost always had dried Ika around for toasted snacks. We would cut wider than the normal snack strips of the dried Ika for our kids teething. It starts out hard, tougher like leather, but softens some as chewed upon; its never is in danger of choking chunks separating and it drys and hardens again as they would lay it down. They enjoyed the favor which kept them interested and we could get a good number of strips from a single splayed squid. Seldom did we fight with the teething tantrums as they kept their gums well massaged with their tasty chews. LOL

    Chapter 48

Still in the learning mode for our understanding of the White Power but it seems the purity and purpose runs strong and has found focus with Kieran and his courtly companions. Ranevargar’s openness and support continues true but we are still need to be prepared for many more layers in that onion of understanding.

    Trinity

Lady Shiba has taken quick notice of Torsten and Araziah: They were a mated pair, in the earliest phase of bonding. A same gender pair, which was impracticable between dragons, but crossing the divide between species, it was still possible, albeit a much rarer thing. A pair that was trusted enough to come to Northwood for such a crucial meeting and with little explanation from the Order's leadership. Altogether, these facts were notable. Curious. "The rebel fire-kin and the human," she said, soft and querying, "they were at the sanctuary when my seeress died?" "Yes, my lady." Lautone nodded. "From what I recall, the boy is the grandson of a former Order scientist. He survived the incident, against all odds. The fire-kin himself is some kind of idealistic miracle that has rejected the Conclave's counsel as false, yet manages to outdo them for sheer prideful wrath. Our surviving priest, Viktor, witnessed him melting the castle in a rage. Impetuous friends are worse than predictable foes, and his allegiance seems far too dubious." Against all odds. It was a happenstance that seemed too unlikely. "Have any come forth in Triskeleth's wake? Days enough have passed for the successor to be known." "I am sorry, my lady." It was difficult to keep the disappointment from his voice, but he could not lie to her. "The faithful have received no admissions. Your temple lies silent." He hesitated, not sure if he should presume, but he offered his service anyhow. "If it would please you, I can lead a search myself. Perhaps the gift is dormant and awaits your grace to-" "No." She turned to him, and through the veil he caught a glimpse of the light in her eyes, a beautiful dynamic glowing blue, the divine embodiment of water. "Her heir will be found. Do what I have commanded. Brace yourself, my child, for it is a joyless path to take, but take it, you must." It would appear the Spirit of Water is well beyond passive manipulation, but her focus for now seems to leave Torsten safe from her search, at what point might that change?

    Trinity

"Oh, the final order of business! Master Lautone, I had confirmed some manner of input, but I have yet to hear what support we can expect from your side." The bearded soldier-type water dragon answered the Grand Secretary. His voice was deep and serious, but also clipped and direct. It reminded me of Viktor's tone, seeming to be a sign of their type. "As you know, due to the nature of the ritual and the abundance of arcane detection that will be present, the Tempest's direct personal intervention and that of her primary forces is acknowledged as impractical. It would spoil the mission's requisite secrecy and only cause failure. She has permitted me to state that she believes the Order's approach of avoiding large scale military action is wise, and that you are capable of this victory with our outside assistance only. Delicacy and precision will serve us well. However, she has also allowed myself and Chaplain Rheo," he indicated the other punk-cut priest, "to serve with whichever strike teams you please. We will act in her stead to enforce a just end to this terrible war." So the Tempest is there incognito as The Lady Shiba, unknown to all except the Water Dragons...and as revealed to Torsten, the Seer. Torsten’s concerns continue to mount as even Crowley sums up “What the hell is she doin'? What's the game plan with all this stealth? Don't we got enough common cause to be done with that?" It would appear Torsten foresaw The Lady Shiba and Araziah’s meeting to be disastrous, but what are the goals of the Tempest?

Who says threes a crowd? What beautiful imagery you’ve painted for our young threesome waking next to one another. Wish I were on Torsten’s chat with Lucy, that picture would be priceless.

    Chapter 46

Great! All rested and ready to learn more about harnessing the pure white power. Perhaps Kieran, his Opal, and the Champions are the key to the unity of the realms. Looking forward to the Champions’ group think and problem solving in these newest of challenges.

    Brothers

I think his first and sexual denial resulted in him seeking mentoring and guidance for the coach, grandpa, but resulted in losing his best friend; his second denial being that Adam lost his way vs discovering himself. Grandpa pressed too hard to make Adam his version of a normal boy resulting in Adam’s hatred towards a passion soured by the old man. His third denial in my mind is the all encompassing denial that results in Ezra being a pawn for the mentor of betrayal, grandpa. The betrayer becomes betrayed as Ezra’s attempt to be close to Adam and to be the normal young man grandpa demanded resulted in Ezra fathering Artie with Adam’s sister. Even Ezra’s expressing “Arthur” is a denial of his acceptance of anything outside the rigid construct grandpa created to make him a normal boy. The big denial now is that he believes Arthur to be his connection to Adam of past. Through this twisted mentality of grandpa’s suppressive creation, Ezra still has a chance to save his friend Adam, in the form of Arthur. Ezra believes he can make Arthur what Adam could and should have been before he was lost. Once Arthur is saved and passion of baseball is restored Adam is sure to follow. His reason to sign over guardianship to Adam is to be closer to Adam; in majorly twisted ways, it increases his involvement beyond Arthur.

  20. I’ve never written or posted anything; strictly just comments for me. But I’ve noticed stories generally have a lot of readers but only a few, percentage-wise, make comments or use the emoticons at all. I personally feel the emoticons can be used more freely to reflect the my emotions within the context of, and towards, the characters and storyline. However, when used on comments/reviews the emoticons reflect more on personal views of the commenter; and/or from storyline to reality. I can sometimes find myself totally agreeing with and cheering someone’s comments until the very last sentence of which then they spin the context to make it a political agree or bandwagon plea; READ IT is very handy then! 😂 Religion, politics, etc...
  21. Woah, I feel as if I stepped in an ant bed; the political and emotional aspects of this option are beyond my awareness and I have not researched the item now available. I just see the label assigned to the emoticon and thought it a great option. I have found that on occasion the comments can get emotional or jaundiced by our own beliefs. For example, I may sometimes agree with the sentiments of the posting but find the context to be too simplistic to apply so broadly. But likewise I feel it discourteous or conceding to ignore; therefore I acknowledge I’ve read it but choose not to comment, reply, or summarize my emotions into the five previously available emoticons. Am I missing an introduction to this option that implies or states it is a negative 👎 opinion or reflection on the comments?

Tan has manifest powers too. It seems more like the Opal did seek out and gift the companions needed for the support of the chosen one; to revive a dead realm and return humans to the realms proper.

    Chapter 45

So the truth of Ranevargar being a former High King of the Realms comes out; in ancient times, so very long ago, the history of the Realms and the reasons for the nexus disharmony needs to be disclosed too. I want to believe that the life of ages has made Ranevargar a truly better person and that the powers of a life renewed will not spoil the person he has become.
