This story is a great read. While Richard is introduced and the story develops through a series of short reads, somewhat a collection of A Day in the Life of Richard. But throughout the story, what is thought to be is proven differently. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Dad wasn’t cheating, he was introduced by is own wife; because she loved him and wanted him to be happy. She was to be a supportive friend to her soon to be ex-husband and the mother of a baby girl. While the parents had remained together in their opinion for the best interest of the kids, Richard discovered the secret of dad’s relationship. But with Maggy pregnant the stages of loss and grief are turned into expanding family and a baby whisperer for the little half-sister. The big secret of Richard’s sexuality is a non-event as that news was already published in the family news and Richard just missed his edition. Perhaps as he was so focused on Nicholas…his first friend, first crush, and first heart break in love. Of course Harriet is the smartest girl in school and has the perfect family, so why out befriend one another…only to find out her perfect home is indeed the crazy house and better yet, her dads like him, and are like him, and they live normally within the abnormal…but no one cares. Sister Vicky provides comic relief though-out, however, we learn she is not to be underestimated. Her secret defense and silent support of Richard is her mission, though dare not speak that she is so loving. Studious she can be when such valued and personal issues are on the line. Stu only thought he was carefree and living as desired…until he met Vicky. Even Vicky proved Stu’s courage had it’s limits. Stu was probably the most friendly and honest of them all, but a little too trusting and naive for what he thought of this backwards non-city community. Perhaps the bridges will be mended with Stu and with Richard’s crush on Nicholas broken, maybe they may find common interests and friendship…in this crazy mixed up world. Great read with lots of interesting twists to reflect upon the facades of daily life; as youth and adults in…A Day in the Life of Richard.

Oh my the last movie storyline created a real life relationship, could a real life throuple be on the horizon too?

Yup, we don’t need any more desert headstones. But this traumatic experience will no doubt add to the respect for those whom braved and lost in the vast wilderness.

Nothing like having both the dads showing trust and confidence in you for something so very important…even life threatening when considering the shock, trauma, and lack of a sustaining first aid kit. It’s made to be initial treatment…self triage. Levi didn’t panic beyond motivational urgency. His call wasn’t disjointed or confusing either. So he didn’t freeze up when it finally came to the moment of significance for Matt’s recovery. ❤️‍🩹. Must build fire, smoke is needed. Anyone having a lasting and unyielding crush knows that the relationship may be one sided but it’s still a relationship to the one holding it so dearly. Could Kent have guilt, yes. Is Kent cheating on Ken, if so then that was probably when he signed up for the Marines. At that time he honestly said they had to have space. So those feelings may be guilt…or they may be the awkwardness in telling your ex or your mutual and informed crush that you’ve met someone; a someone that is a first for Kent in have a mutual relationship outside of his brotherly, twin love. Keeping in mind Kent is still only 18, or not much beyond; still so young that finding a mutual relationship that’s so comfortable and mutual is great. Neither is possessive, just mutually instep with the other.

So true, great likeness and yeah, I would be crushing for either in that time span.

My most common reference to life is that, life is Play-Doh. Even kids can understand the concept that when you squeeze and change the shape you never know exactly what you’re gonna get and where it’s gonna wind up. On the more adult level, there are laws of science that cover the same logic of life is Play-Doh. We have the law of energy I believe proven by Einstein; energy cannot be either created or destroyed, but only changed in form. Likewise, the saying which is also backed up by I believe Sir Isaac Newton; for every action there will be an equal and opposite reaction. So if we could just get our politicians, lawyers, friends, and spouses, to recognize the simple reality of Play-Doh, then life would be much simpler and more logical. For every law that is passed, there will be a price whether it be in dollars or in an unexpected change our impact caused by that simple Band-Aid law that could’ve been better researched and structured to Pass a good, more fair, and a sustainable law/rule. On the more personal level, the most silly thing a wife/partner can say to their lover is…you won’t be getting that anymore. Huh? How stupid. Human nature says life is playdoh. So the two words absent from that threat or promise is…AT HOME! Nature finds a way, whether hours, days, weeks or more, nature says that is a self fulfilling prophecy…they cheat…when the love is gone.

The problem with dogs (animals) flying is that space is limited; just like kids don’t fly free, neither do the animals. Likewise, there is only one extra oxygen mask on each side of the plane, for each row. So only one baby can be on each row/each side of side on the plane. Furthermore, I’ve seen unwashed, unkept dogs, brought under the previous comfort animal rules…the animal had to be refused…not because it wasn’t allowed at the time, but for pure health and sanitary reasons. Likewise, the extra weight takes extra fuel and also further limits baggage weight allowances; so your baggage allowance is reduced, the tickets/baggage fees increase because of the increased number of people claiming comfort animal rules. It was unsustainable and airlines had to take action to curb the impacts to other paying passengers and to the bottom line.

A wonderful moment indeed. Hopefully neither one back pedals, over thinking the situational impact to their basic feelings. Yes, the trauma intensified the process with those feelings bursting forward, but these boys have been themselves for a good while…just without talking, without formal acknowledgment, without putting a name to it. Now hopefully they can accept it and the impact to their platoon and squad dynamics. Unfortunately, there’s always that 10% of the population, a$$hole, but with these guys tried and proven the a$$hole may have to watch his back.
