  1. Be the bigger man, rise above hurt and bitterness and vengeance, and find forgiveness. It is clearly the right thing to do. At least your mom and sister have said they won't hold it against you, even if they can't do it themselves.
  2. Hello, Viv! Even if the rest of the thing is alive, it's probably getting the heck out of Dodge. What are fish kisses?
  3. Hmmmm. The site is here: http://andrejkoymasky.com/lib.html It used to be free, but it looks like you have to write Andrej now and get a password. Edit: found it on Nifty: http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/relationshi...eil-and-norman/
  4. "Happy Christmas, Neil & Norman", by Andrej Koymaskey?
  5. Link to abstract on PubMed Looks like you need a subscription to get the text of the article though.
  6. ok, this one is explainable -- try an a instead of an o. They're named after the region of Dalmatia somewhere in Croatia. I learned that such a place existed from a jar of fig marmalade that advertised figs from Dalmatia. (Fig marmalade -- mmmm!)
  7. Yes. Of course, people vary widely in degrees of empathy. You just have 0. As long as you know. I'm pretty close to 0 empathy too, though I clearly recognize intellectually when empathy would be appropriate. Yes, if straight love were so severely stigmatized that the mere fact of being in love with someone of the opposite sex would cause suffering, ostracism, and lead to the murder of one or both of the parties. Occasionally, straight love stories do fall under such circumstances -- Romeo/Juliet, West Side story, etc.
  8. hee hee! And for those who enjoy chocolate and certain other kinds of nuts, there's always chocolate body paint.

  11. Happy Birthday, Jim!
  12. You go, Kevin! Keep learning over the course of your whole life....picking up new hobbies every couple years is a way to keep the mind active. It'll probably help stave off Alzheimer's too.
  13. Creepy schmeepy, you guys are too squeamish. Just thrash the stuffing out of the little bugger. :2hands:

    Things I love

slaveboy--not only are you in deep sh*t with jessehotty, you should also remember that you're married to reaper. That's a month of sleeping on the couch for you!
  16. My New Brother can be found at http://deweywriter.com/ Look under Graeme.
  17. LOL. So predictable, vic. is pronounced "FU". So maybe it's a little joke, with the meaning conveyed by the English letters "F <space> U". OR (much more likely) the usual meaning of this character is Buddhism. (*looks to see if sumbloke perks up*) OR it might be a reference to his alma mater (Florida = "fu luo li da", ) OR .....littlebuddha_tw/David can speak for himself & give the true answer when he wakes up in a couple hours...
  18. Welcome to GA.com and the blogs, David! I just have to say: Wow....hoyay in Dream of the Red Chamber! Good luck on your last chapter! And a suggestion: if you find younger guys too immature for you, why not try someone a little older? Us older guys aren't so bad, ya know

    happily ever after!

Whew! Superwoman indeed. But is it really strictly necessary to be superwoman? A lot of pressure is self-induced... Relax & enjoy! Merry Christmas!
  20. Yay, Christmas break! I get a break too, but only for a week Sucking up is a useful skill, young padawan. And I applaud your healthy sense of reality; most guys are straight, regardless of the overactive imaginations/wishful thinking of all of us in your cheering section. Bravo for knowing the formula! Here's how to visualize it very quickly: S = 1 + 2 + 3 + .... + 100 S = 100+99+98+ + 1 ------------------------------------ 2S = 101 + 101 + ... + 101 (total of 100 times) so S = 101*100 / 2

    Good Ole Mrs. G

Take your time, and come out when you're ready. Mrs. G may take it well, and she might even keep your secret, but there's no guarantee of either. People don't always take it so well, and once you tell anyone else, you have no control over the information any more. If you know you can tell earlier, that's great, but there's also nothing wrong with waiting until you're out of the house and financially independent. Then there will be fewer material ways by which people can hurt you.
  22. Glad the surgery went ok! He's lucky you love him so much.
  23. Happy Birthday, Kitty!

    scary phone call...

Even if you didn't take him to get stitches, make sure the tetanus shot is up to date. If he's never gotten one, now's as good a time as any.
  25. I actually said that when people asked how I knew the answer. Well, I said sieve of someone, I couldn't remember Erastosthenes. And then I was too lazy to look it up. Hehe. Given that you are influencing an impressionable young mind, it should be noted that the correct spelling is without the red "s". On the other hand, slaveboy, you should have gotten off your lazy skinny butt and looked it up yourself!! He did other stuff too, like estimating the circumference of the earth fairly accurately. Good job knowing the answer anyway though! More of that will be the ticket to Washington.
