That no-good sonofabitch. Dave should have insisted he report him and get a rape kit done. Now all the evidence is washed away. Zoe's gonna have a fit when she finds out. I hope she's not too attached to the creep. Excellent chapter. Dave is really coming thru for Nick. Nick is lucky to have him.

Chas and Matt totally surprised me in this chapter. Chas grew a brain, but Alan, he needs a heart to go along with his courage. They're not in Kansas anymore Dorothy. Chas is going to surprise everyone if he continues on his big metamorphosis. Good for him though. Matt is totally cool. I really like his character. He goes with the flow, he doesn't judge people and he has no problem defending a kid he neve spoke to before and who one of his friends always "argues" with. The suicide note Nick and Zoe's mom left them - that was totally lame. What a cop-out. Instead of trying to get better for her kids, she tries to kill herself thinking that that would free them and they wouldn't have to worry about her anymore. She's a martyr. Terrific chapter Thorn. On to ch. 14.

I had to run out and buy more Kleenex halfway thru this chapter. I cannot imagine how Nick felt walking into his mom's room and finding her like that. He was so happy he was going to get to spend time with her for his birthday only to find out she tried to off herself? I want to yell and scream at her like Craig (wow, that was a good move for him, surprisingly), and say how the hell can you do that to your children? Sure, you'll be gone, but your kids will still be here, grieving and mourning for you. She's very cowardly, taking the easy way out, ready to leave her children scarred. Then on the other hand, I hear Dave trying to convince Nick that it had nothing to do with him; it was all because of something wrong in her brain and I feel sorry for her. The scary thing is if this isn't dealt with, with meds, therapy, something, then it's going to happen again. And maybe this time it won't be all b/c of her brain; maybe she'll feel like her kids don't want to see her and then why bother living? Dave has been a rock for Nick. He's been there for him and doing a great job of comforting him. I don't think you rushed those three little words. After all, they've known each other all their lives and Nick has always been in love with Dave. It just took Dave awhile to catch up. lol Terrific chapter Thorn. I'm almost caught up now! Although I think you updated a chapter while I was reading this one.

I'm surprised the moms got over the whole kissing thing/being together thing so easily. Loved the tutor who only said no kissing in class. lol I do think that Jesse will be tested; I think that there will be those, like Ian, who will taunt him at some point. Oh, I had a question: it's been written that they are both tall and that Jesse's a bit taller than Maxie. I remember when Maxie first saw him, he thought that Jesse made HIM feel short. And isn't Maxie like 6 ft 3 or something? But in this chapter, Maxie's shoulder was under Jesse's forehead, wouldn't that make Maxie taller? And I can't remember if this was also in the supply closet or in Paul's house, but there was a point when Jesse looked up at Maxie. Sorry to be a pain in the ass. I know sometimes I focus on the unimportant things. lol Looking forward to more - this is easily one of my favorite stories on here. Awesome job Sasha!

Six inches of snow and there's still school?! lol And halfway there Brad decided to put it in four-wheel drive? I put my car in four-wheel drive the second I see the first snowflake. lol Anyway...it's funny how Brad is noticing all these attractive things about Jake's teacher now. When he had Dave he probably pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind b/c he knew he was 'taken'. But now he's a free agent and Tony's attractiveness is hitting him big time. lol I'm sure Monday with Murray (is that like Tuesdays with Morrie?), sorry, couldn't resist...I'm sure Monday with Murray will be interesting. Hopefully Murray behaves himself. lol Jake will be all over Murray and the other kids probably will also. That's the best show and tell! I think Jake is acting out and constantly talking about Murray b/c he wants the attention of the other kids, maybe even Mr. Cutler. His mom is off on business trips (I'm assuming), and Dave (who was a big part of Jake's life), suddenly moves out. As Tony said, Jake had two people who he loved and counted on, leave. Granted, his mom didn't 'leave', but she's not around as often. So maybe he's looking for attention, from someone other than his dad, and this is the way he's getting it - by bragging about Murray. He gets his classmate's attention this way, and he also gets the attention of his teacher by being disruptive. Maybe Jake doesn't care what kind of attention he's getting - good or bad. Great chapter Renee! I'm looking foward to Monday's show and tell!

Alexi's stage fright is really bad. I thought it was just performance stage fright, not just being on the stage not playing. He was fine when he was distracted by the violinist, but once the kid left, he was frozen up there. That's really scary. I agree w/Joshua; he should see someone, maybe take some meds. Something. What's he gonna do on tour? He can't very well play from a seat in the audience. Oh, well, that's a thought. Maybe they can move the stage to just seats in the audience. Of course there wouldn't be any room for the instruments... And Adrian - wth does he want? He hasn't done enough damage? He's back to wreck more havoc on Alexi? I'm glad Alexi was strong enough to walk away from him. But I have a feeling Adrian won't stop at one rebuttal; he'll be back.

Does Michael drink so much b/c he's dealing with his own feelings about himself? He must feel pretty comfortable with Asher to just show up on his doorstep. I didn't even realize Michael remembered where Asher lived. lol Michael does have a soft side that stays hidden behind all his booze. It's nice to see that side every once in a while. I did like the fact that he was disappointed he didn't see Asher at the bar. That was cute. And since of course I've been there, done that, it was easy to relate to. So sad to hear about Allison. Three years is certainly not a long time to end your grief. It will be painful for Michael for years to come. And especially since it was tragic and Allison died way too young. I'm interested in the Paul connection. He was engaged to Allison. Did he leave her when he found out she was sick? Asher was looking at him on the television like he was the enemy or something. Instead of looking at him with sympathy or just acknowledgement, he was looking at him like he was the enemy. Great chapter KC!

I just finished reading this chapter and saw you posted the next one! Michael is surprising in this chapter. Get him away from the booze and he can actually be a nice guy. But seriously, he had way too much to drink at their dinner and he was embarrassing himself as well as Asher. But on the b-ball court, he shined. His teammates seemed nice. Jonesie and the club's attendant caught Asher's eye and vice-versa. Wonder if Michael will be jealous at all if/when Asher comes back. I liked the banter at the end with the innuendos. I don't think Michael was all that oblivious to what him and Jonesie were saying. Ok, on to chapter five. =)

Poor Luka - he's had such a rotten life. First, a low-life "father" and second, a low-life brother. The father and the brother deserve one another. Good for Luka for defending himself. What a monster his brother was. Luka was only eight for God's sake. Makes me sick to think about it. I'm glad Mrs. L. was there to help Luka and get him to open up. Looking foward to more Finn! No matter how long it takes.

Jessie does need to see a professional. He needs to talk about this and find some coping mechanisms to help him. I think with Maxie, Paul and Guy (and of course Nuka - was that the husky's name?), he will have a good support system. Throw in Maxie's grandma (who is terrific btw), because she has a lot of insight and can talk sense into Maxie's mom.

Thorn, that was such a great story! I was hoping for more...maybe a sequel one day? AND you updated "Nemesis" - you're just a writing machine today. lol

That dinner did sound awesome. Now I'm hungry. I love the fact that they miss each other after being apart for one class period. lol Boy, young love,.. Looking forward now to Maxie's pov. I really like how you break up the pov's.

Jeez, I had to read Thorn's correction about ten times before I got it. lol I am slow.... Anyway...I was also thinking that this author on the 'real' GA is really Dan, who we know is really Byron. lol Of course we know in the reality that is known as GA, one cannot get away with not being eighteen. After all, I've had to prove myself time and time again that I really AM 99 and not underage (I wish). (wink, wink) Byron should join that teen section GA has. I bet he'd meet boys on there that he could become friends with and are in similar situations. I still think he should have a go at Chris. haha Great chapter Circle! It was very entertaining even if I went OUCH! when I read Evanesce's review. Even though he was right. Ok, gotta Google split infinitives now...

I think it's great that Nick's mom is making an effort. She's trying her best. Even that tool Craig is making an effort. And doesn't he have a family he has to visit? lol Another great chapter with the boys getting closer. Now I'm all caught up. Now I just wait for tomorrow....

I'm glad Mellie turned out to be Mel. But I guess now Nick won't be able to go online and confide in her if Dave and him get into an argument. That's a big downside. I can just imagine when Dave and Nick come out. I can see Alan causing them problems b/c he will be jealous if Nick's assumption is correct. And Dave's father will probably have a fit. Ok, chapter ten awaits. lol

You know, reading the reviews it didn't dawn on me that Mel could be Mellie. I should have realized that since my sister's nickname of her nickname is Mel. Did that even make sense? Anyway...if she is, then maybe she's trying to steer Nick away from Dave b/c she thinks there's no way her cousin is going to fall for a guy and she wants to spare Nick's feelings. Even if she's not Dave's cousin, I think she's trying to protect Nick like any friend would try to do. But I have to admit: she is a buzzkill. I commend Dave for being so cool with the fact that he's not 100% straight anymore. lol As a reviewer or two mentioned, I'm surprised he didn't freak out on Nick, refusing to speak to him again. I just hope they're not rushing into anything. Even though they've known each all their lives, the "relationship" is so new and Dave is so new to these feelings, I don't want it to blow up in their faces. Ha, no pun intended. lol Ok, next chapter... Oh, I had a question: you know when the chapter loads, there's the A+ and A letters? I always click on the A+ to see if the print would come out larger, but on your story it doesn't work. Is there some option when you're loading the chapter to enable larger print? You know, my 99 year old eyes have to peer at the screen. lol J/K But seriously, if there is an option, would be able to enable it? Thanks Thorn!

My jaw dropped when Nick was taunting Alan in the locker room. That was really funny. Of course it wouldn't be funny after Alan beat the crap out of Nick, but luckily Dave was there to save the day. Dave really seems to be ok with his new feelings. My sister's nickname is Mellie. it was strange seeing it in print. Ok, on to ch. 8.

Wow, I get busy for a few days and now I have four chapters to catch up on! lol I wonder if now that their 'friends', they won't have anything to talk about. After all, they're so used to verbally sparring with one another, not carrying on a conversation, Ok, on to chapter seven.

I can't believe it's over. lol I really like this story. I'm glad Bray finally got a boy for himself. Although, I did not like what he and his friends did to Ryan, Keylan and David. I thought that was horrible. The three of them didn't do anything as vicious as what they did to their former friends. Other than that, it was a great story!

What a sad, sad story Jesse told Maxie. Too bad it was real. I hope Maxie can help him start to cope with what happened. They seemed to have forged a nice friendship so far. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Ok, so in my last review I meant on to chapter five. lol It's nice that Jesse and Maxie are making progress. I'm so curious to find out what happened between Jesse and that boy he can't talk about. Ian's a dick and should keep his big mouth closed. I thought he was Jesse's friend. I guess not anymore. And at the end, all I kept thinking was, how the hell do you know Jesse isn't gonna come jogging back??? lol Wouldn't THAT be embarrassing.

I think I reviewed this chapter accidentally in the reviews for chapter three. Anyway...I am glad the boys are talking at least and not yelling and fighting with each other. It's a start. Ok, on to chapter six.
