Stoker’s eyes went very wide, and he paled a little. “Oh… um… err… I’ve never dun it that way ‘afore, sorr. That’s normally your… err… I mean… we…” he faltered again, his usual confidence completely gone.
Wojciech was enjoying the momentary fluster that Stoker was going through. "He braves lions, pulverizers, and stares down mad Stalkers, and this he is afraid of?"
“Yes,” Stoker muttered, his voice a low, embarrassed mumble. “Those I can ‘andle…” He eyed Wojciech with trepidation. “That, ‘owever ain’t no small thing.”
Wojciech shook his head, a genuine smile on his face. “That’s the strangest compliment I’ve ever had in my life.”
