But, I suppose, not enough to share. Seriously though, I thought capirotada was a type of bread pudding and so thought it was made with cubed bread. Your mama's looks more like a form of pain perdu. Not a criticism, rather a surprise on my part. Still not gonna share are you?
I doubt very much he'll wait until chapter 37. Doing so would mean a chapter long enough to appease even @Daddydavek. Afterall, he'll need to provide enough wrap up to placate all his many devoted pitchfork and torch bearing readers. I'm guessing somewhere around chapter 33 or 34.
I'm just glad it wasn't thoughts of ruins that brought me to mind.
Hmmm, perhaps the Canadians or Aussies would agree to send a representative from one of their kilt wearing regiments.
I'm okay. Spent another few hours working in mum's flowerbeds so I'm tired. Also coping with a moderate migraine.
From an earlier comment I take it your visit with the pulmonologist went well. I'm glad
Asparagus is one of our favorite veggies. My paternal grandfather grew it. I considered planting a bed but not being at my home during part of the season and mum's hoa not allowing a garden put that idea to rest. I blanched a few stalks today then cut them up to add to our dinner salads this evening.
Sawasdee Khrup Terry. I apologize for not responding sooner. Mum is well, thanks. Since the migraine seemed somewhat in abeyance the last two days I have been mulching and planting mum's flowerbeds. The weather has been lovely, bright skies, mid-70's/~23° with comfortable humidity. Alas, I may have overdone things. Despite sunscreen my skin has taken on a rosy glow. More troubling is a migraine that began building late afternoon. Fingers crossed.
Surprisingly few. The last two servings of cobbler went to neighbors. Mum and I don't eat desserts and snacks during Lent. Mum did wonder though whether they would hold in the fridge for a week. I promised her a homemade chocolate creme pie for Easter as a consolation.
Rather than an Easter dinner Mum and I hosted Palm Sunday dinner. There were nine of us. I made a roast pork loin, roasted potatoes, harvard beets, baby peas with pearl onions and bread rolls. Appetizer was deviled red beet eggs with homemade pickled veggies. Dessert was peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. We had an enjoyable time though I am tired and my head aches. Everything is cleared away so time to rest.
