I had to laugh when Spike suggested CIA could use him as an analyst. CJ wouldn't be the first to use that position as a springboard to higher office. The birthday party was fantastic. Brookgreen Gardens has a small butterfly exhibit. It was an opportunity to see some species I wouldn't have otherwise and watching them flit about was relaxing. So the Chinese think CJ is more than he appears. Well that's true just not in the way they think. While the extra post was appreciated it just means we're drawing nearer the end. We your teaders may not be ready but having had the opportunity to work with you behind the scenes on a previous story I can understand you are.

Meaning far more energetic then we can keep up with at our age.

Yeah, not gonna happen. They don't play that way ... and ... no rewrites to change things either.

    A Meeting of Minds

That went well, but then I'd hoped it would. I would like to know where these people are in their lives 6 months from now. Has this experience had the desired outcome for Tyler or is life still, as he might say, shit. I've no doubt that Eric continues his slow blossoming. Finding useful purpose in guiding his neighbors in caring for their new garden. He's come a far way.

I think it's not the ones who chase her that have worry, it's the ones who can keep up.

I think it was for emphasis. @Kittis a lady of few words but she means what she says ... ... so don't make her repeat herself.

It's called picking your battles. I wouldn't call my mum permissive but we were allowed to voice our choices. Though my sister still had to wear a dress, it was afterall the '60's. There is a picture of her about age four sitting on the swingset wearing an adorable red and blue plaid dress and one of my flatcaps.

Excellent chapter. I'm a bit under the weather, achey head, to be more specific. "Unless something happens and we need to escape for a few days." I'm not ready for their time in CDMX to come to an end.
  13. Uhmmm, I know, well, I think I know that Jay will in time be okay ... This was, for me, one of the best chapters in the story.

Yeah, somewhere in the Keys I think. If I recall correctly Ritch is about to leave for his summer assignment when he is told about the "event" and is given leave to go be with CJ, Owen and Liebe and meets them somewhere private to decompress.

There are some areas even out intrepid author fears to tread ... I am concerned as to whether it's this interview and it's attention on CJ is what precipitates what comes to pass. Is Northman involved? I don't think intentionally, if at all. That sort of thing would be career ending and Stephen isn't the sort to risk that.

Yeah, maybe he could find an illustrator and get them published. That's a hint, push, shove, whatever. There are young ones out there waiting to read those stories.

I think this was one of your best chapters. Sure it's about CJ but there's more than that. We've known for a long time that when they get to know CJ people genuinely like him, with a few exceptions. This chapter reenforces that. The embassy staff very much like and respect him because he's himself, not some spoiled rich brat, with them. Still trying to determine what the real cause of Stephen's animosity is. Maybe he's deeply closeted, in denial and has dreams and desires that he can't accept.

    Home Again

That is a modern thought, convent had a more broad original meaning. Consider the word convention which shares a common root.
