Expecting another lovely day. The forecast for the next few days is to become warmer and more humid with occasional afternoon t-showers. My head aches. I have an appointment for a 90-min massage at midday. Maybe it will help 🤞
Bleesed be y'all.
It's a lovely day. Mum and I went to brekkie at our usual Friday morning spot. French toast, bacon and coffee with cream and sugar for me, scrambled egg, grits and black coffe for mum. My head aches. Blessed be y'all, most especially @Drew Espinosaand his family.
Ohhhh Fernando ... have you met Stephen? You'd like him.
Chipper's Squad? Hmmm, I don't have any ink.
Good to Brad again, even if briefly ... okay we didn't really see him in camo undies but I like the idea.
As we've come to expect ... an well executed and entertaining chapter.
Sawasdee Khrup Terry. Mum's a bit tired from yesterday but otherwise well thanks. I'm coping today. Would like nothing better than to curl up in a quiet corner and rest my head. However, I thought if I did so I might become morose. Instead I took mum out to brekkie at a place we like but since it's a 30 minute drive away we only visit sporadically. They serve a fresh fruit, yogurt and granola plate that mum really enjoys. From there we stopped at "the" Polish deli for this area and bought 1.25lb of Polish Wedding kielbasa for mum's neighbor. His sister passed this week. He grew up eating kielbasa, etc. as a boy in Philly. Told him we thought he'd appreciate kielbasa more than flowers. The thing we didn't know was that he served as altar boy for his sister's wedding so wedding kielbasa was particularly fitting. From there we visited a local tourist venue called Broadway at the Beach just to walk about and enjoy the beautiful day. I bought a bottle of blood orange melomel (mead flavored with blood orange). It's comparable to a nice semi-dry white wine with strong hint of citrus. Nice sipped chilled on a warm muggy day. After all of that both mum and I are ready to relax quietly.
G'day y'all. The morning's dawning bright, clear if slightly chilly. Forecast to be a nice day though windy.
Last evenings dinner went well and a nice time was had by all.
Perhaps "everything you hate" is the wrong word choice. Instead we should say foods you dislike. And it only really matters if we were to invite you to dinner or send a gift basket. In either case that delightful youngster Max could just eat your share too.
Dates may be dried fruit but they are neither raisins, made from grapes, or dried currant berries and do not taste at all alike. I would surmise from this that you're against dried fruit in general not just raisins and dried currants.
The predicted cold front has passed. Current temp is 68/20° with bright sunshine and a somewhat chilly breeze. Sadly, the change in weather has brought on a migraine so I'm having a bit of a rest before needing to busy myself in the kitchen. Blessed be y'all.
Mum and I are entertaining a neighbor couple for dinner this evening. I'm making lemon chicken using a recipe from Ina Garten. I've made it before and it's very tasty. I'm serving it over spaetzle style noodles with fresh peas and fresh asparagus sauteed with green onion and minature san marzano tomatoes as the sides. Homemade fresh strawberry pie with whipped cream as dessert.
A cold front is passing through with some rumblings of thunder. The wee tree frogs are making almost as much noise singing their little hearts out lookin' for love.
The spot on mum's head is not currently a concern. It's a hereditary type of thing, I have a similiar one. It does though bear watching and the doctor commended mum's hairdresser for bringing it to attention.
He would fit right in here. Bright sunshine and waarm, 79/26° with 73% humidity. The forecast is for a cold front to pass through later this evening/overnight and bring slightly cooler less humid weather for a couple days.
I'm taking mum to the dermatologist late this afternoon. Her hairdresser noticed a growth on the top of her head that she thought should be checked. When I looked at it I agreed.
