I was beginning to think Galen was stuck in self deception but he understands that while he loves Ethan he doesn't love him in the way Ethan does him. This chapter seems cathartic for Josh. Time will tell.

That went well ... Josh's immature behavior was an absolute surprise. He was a complete ass. Ethan has done nothing to be treated so, he simply loves someone, who saddly doesn't deserve him. I'm disappointed in Galen. Yes he called Josh on his childishness but I think he should have made apologies to Liam and Alannah and left rather than put Ethan in the position of enduring such an awkward evening. I feel for Ethan, I think he's begun to understand that he has no future with Galen. Honestly I question what Josh and Galen see in the other, at the moment neither seems a prize worth having.

Roger is just using Josh, saddly I suspect for him Josh is more an excuse to not commit to any of the others he's seeing on the sly.

Greetings Albert. I'm well enough as yesterday's migraine eased during the night. 🤞 Mum and I are planning a quiet day. Watch Penn State play in the Outback Bowl and relaxing. I'm roasting a pork loin and have collard greens reheating in the crock pot. I'll also heat up some sauerkraut and make grits. The pork is traditional both here in the Low Country and back home in PA. The collards and grits are strictly Southern, though typically on New Year's it would be black eyed peas and rice in a dish called Hoppin' John not grits. Sauerkraut is a PA Dutch tradition, not one I particularly care for but with a little apple butter it's not bad.

At our age what's 4 months and a few days? Except that maybe I'm maturing faster?

I had a suspicion but didn't want to jinx it. Thanks for the traditional posting. Don't suppose you'll do another for my bday ... oh well. I'm enjoying the family time chapters. They're relaxed and happy. Well mostly, tired toddlers can be cranky. I can understand saying sorry but no you don't qualify can be draining on CJ's pysche. He wants to help people not tell them no. Great chapter. HNY!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL! It's kinda warm here too. Currently 68/20° with 96% humidity in the predawn. We need to endure through today and tomorrow before colder weather returns. Albert, I hope you and Steve are able to keep warm. I heard you're having record cold.

I like that they went together and bought Buck for Galen. What bothers me is that it's rather obvious that despite his choice Josh is still "wooing" Galen.

I'm certain that in the end Josh and Galen will be together but in the present Josh chose Roger so he has no place making grumpy faces when Galen goes on a date with someone else. He can't have the cake and eat it too. I like Ethan. His choice of venue for their date was great. It was a no pressure fun outing. I hope their friendship continues.

I like Jody and completely understand his relationship with Galen, it's a sort of brothers from different mothers thing. Poor Ethan, he got up the courage to ask Galen out only to be shot down. Personally, I think Galen should have accepted with the caveat that at this point what he needs most is a friend. Maybe just maybe that will happen.

Hmmm, Galen likes cheesecake. I wonder why that is. Why do I think the Roger Resolution isn't really the final resolution?
