    This is an interesting change from the all too common shifters based on predatory species. Thought is rarely given to prey species shifters. I guess because they are presumed to be weak much like gay men are often thought to be weak. I am curious to see where this story goes. Will we find an unexpected strength in Cyn?

    Ritch is an anomaly at the Academy, not too many millionaires among the cadet wing. Fortunately he's well grounded and willing to share what he has, just as he's watched his dads and brother do. I've enjoyed the glimpses into cadet life but also those rare moments of downtime. Another enjoyable chapter.

    Enjoyed this very much. Thanks Marty for doing what I couldn't. I watched this earlier when it posted on youtube and wanted to share but couldn't seem to get the link to import so I gave up.

    Tonights dinner was cheese tortellini tossed in a ragu of shallot, portabella mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and chopped black olives. For dessert I made baked rice pudding. It was a cold blustery day so a main dish with deep earthy flavors seemed right and the rice pudding is one of my favorite cold weather comfort foods.

    Has the air been particularly cold and dry? I have issues with micro nosebleeds during winter cold spells.

    A delayed ... Greetings Albert. It is an up and down day. My heads aches for awhile then eases for a short bit before the ache returns. In between I feel oddly hollow and off tilt. Hope you are well and that Steve's knee continues to improve.

    We had leftover beef vegetable soup with crusty ciabatta bread and apple galette.

    I sometimes miss the snows of my northern home not however those icy sidewalks. There was one morning just before Christmas when damp spots from the previous day's rain froze briefly on the sidewalks here. An odd experience treading lightly during our early morning walk. Thank you for your words and the remembrances they evoke.

    It's always good to have an extra pair of hands when you're bein' busy ... er, I mean hard at it ... uhm, oh bother ... you know what I mean.
