Stick to your guns Marine ... until the guy is gone the Davenport Collection can be sent on temporary loan to one or two East Coast museums. When news of the how and why gets around CAMALA may find themselves scrambling to keep other loaned works. Great chapter.

I can commiserate. In 1985 I bought a brand new Toyota 4Runner. It had a a 5-speed manual transmission. I'd never driven stick. Learned to on the test drive. Only problem was that when I was ready to leave the dealer the car was parked on an incline. I don't know how many times I stalled before the manager came out and sent the cute young salesman off to help another customer. He got in the passenger seat calmed me down and got me on my way. I headed straight to my parent's house picked up my kid sister, she'd been driving stick from the time she got her license 3 years earlier and we spent the next couple of hours driving all around up and down hills, etc. By the time we were done I'd put over a hundred miles on the odometer and never had another problem.

It really did seem like the day was drawn from CJ's playbook. Casita Davenport. So Chipper has a place to stay in LA and we learn how Bryce and Zion get introduced. Really great chapter.

Hmmm, I'd say the girlfriend was insecure, also, how trustworthy is an untrusting soul. Does she truly have so little trust in him or was she looking for an excuse to end things? I think like the teacup that relationship is cracked beyond repair.

A fairy tale, sort of, if a little creepy but then fairy tales often are ... I know I frequently accuse you of being a hopeless romantic, something you readily plead guilty to ... but sometimes the happily everafter ending of a fairy tale is just the thing. You've taken an occasionally stale trope and made it fresh and interesting. Is there more to their story or do we only get a brief glimpse into their world? Either way this was well done. Then it would have been more surprising had it not been. Kudos and thanks.

G'day y'all. Bit dreary here today. Overcast with a current temp of 74/23° and 91% humidity. It's drizzled a bit this morning. Started while I was walking. Not enough to make my shirt wet, that was all sweat. Eventually it did rain enough to make everything outdoors wet. Last evening we had a t-storm with very heavy wind and rain. Lasted nearly two hours. Prevented mum and the pup from taking their after dinner perambulation. Blessed be my brothers and sisters.

Hmmm, I can relate to a marriage ending in this manner. How does Sawyer fit into the rest of the story? Well written chapter.

It's currently 84/29° but 71% humidity makes it feel like 91/33°. This level of heat and humidity plays havoc with my migraines.
