I understand his frustration but as he admits it was a bit over the top. Of course the best part was the ending. I have eaten lace cookies in the past and enjoyed them though they were not hazelnut. I may give these a try as my mum is fond of hazelnuts.

It's amazing sometimes what a bowl of soup can do. You had me nearly in tears but then things turned around. Thanks for the story and the recipe. I'll have to give the soup a try but like @Page Scrawler I'll opt for smoked paparika. Mum is not a fan of sausage or bacon so a soup with both is a bit too much for her.

I can see the three of them establishing a bond between them. Why the concern over wolves and a neko? Is there an instinctual dislike on the part of the wolves? Both Jordan and Sander seem fine with Damian. So was their initial guide Ryan.

We bake small ones in 3×5 pans but I like the idea of ones done in muffin/cupcake pans. Might have to give that a try.

It's a chilly 37/3° here. I'm going to begin making peanut brittle shortly. It needs to be cool and dry when I do.

Mum and I have six small ones currently "seasoning". Our recipe also differs from the one offered here as does another one I have. You're suggesting fruitcakes and roaches will be the only things to survive nuclear winter.

It is a very pretty tree. It looks like a Lemon Cypress tree. They don't tolerate being outdoors in cold weather.

I have a fondness for molasses cookies. Mum and I begin our annual cookie baking tomorrow. In years past it was a marathon five days of baking and when we were finished there were dozens and dozens of cookies. Thirty plus kinds. Now we spread the baking out over two weeks and bake fewer kinds. Still there is an abundance to be shared with family and friends.
