    Starting an argument is many times the reason for your observations. Can't fault Spikey. This time it seems he didn't take the bait rather simply turned over and went back to sleep.

    Still gonna be hot just not extremely hot. It's 5am and the heat index is 93/34°. The sun isn't even up. They are forecasting a cool/cold front on Friday that will bring weekend temps down to cooler than normal low 80's.

    Heat index is currently 113/45°. Hopefully the sea breeze will kick in soon. Current ocean water temp is 82/28°. The housing complex pool feels like a warm bath.

    You sound just like my sister as a preteen. She was never wrong, incorrect on occasion but never wrong. She was a sometime contarian too. Tomorrow would have been her 61st birthday but sadly she passed away unexpectedly when she was 39.
