    For us 'Mericans it's National Dount Day. I'd forgotten until I stopped by my local bakery to place an order for next week and they gave me a free donut of my choice. Mum enjoyed an apple-raison glazed donut with coffe for brekkie.

    I like this. I really like this. It's charming and sweet. You've created a vignette with enough to allow me to feel I was one of the other patrons watching this play out at a table nearby. Well done.

    The heat, etc. has combined with the smoke from the Canadian wildfires to cause air quality warning for today and again tomorrow. Additionally, because it has been a more cool and wet few weeks folks haven't acclimted to the heat so they're issuing warning about that too. Mum feels out of sorts and my head aches after spending a brief time working outdoors.

    Woohoo ... it's Tuesday. Sadly, those dear sweet Canadians are sending us another gift, wildfire smoke. I much prefer those cool/cold air packages they send. I wonder if these types of fires were historically a natural occurance we were just less aware.
