    So the lad has been released and is at home resting. The ultimate determination is a mini-stroke though no occlusion appears on either CT or MRI scans there was some indication of previous mini-stroke. None of which show any lasting effects. He has been prescribed a blood thinner as a precaution. Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

    Have you ever taken a good look at snow that been driven over. Though in sooth that's not the basis of the saying. That would be drifted wind-driven snow that shows no tracks or other blemishes upon its surface.

    We have gone from record setting heat at the start of the week to below average cool and wet weather for the next few days. A change of ~40°F from Monday (95/35°) to Saturday (55/13°). Not really what I was hoping for this weekend since there is an event at Mt Hope this Sat and Sunday and the shop will be open.

    Thank you. I spoke with him a bit ago and the neurologist has okayed his release to come home. Just waiting for everyoneelse to agree.

    That would be miraculous on so many levels.

    Mum and I spent yesterday afternoon and early evening in the ER with my son while they evaluated him for a possible stroke. He experienced two episodes of loss of sensation on his right side. Both times symptoms resolved on their own. CT scan showed no acute current events. He was admitted overnight for observation. Results for his MRI where not back when we left. We're hoping for a positive prognosis and that he'll be able to come home today.

    I broke down and bought a new portable ac unit. I was planning to buy one in a few weeks when summer arrived. However, the forecast was for 95/35° which is near record heat. Had to move Mum to my space to sleep as it was too warm in her room last evening and it would only be worse tonight. This way we should both be more comfortable.
