    I was a fast reader in my youth, but have slowed down considerably with age. It's frustrating sometimes to not be able to read as much as I would like but I have also found that I enjoy the reading itself much more when I slow down. Sometime I just find a really nice description or phrase and just read it again out of appreciation.

    You are first, and it feels extra special because it's on one of your busy days. This is a heavy chapter, and you are correct, Naivres and Arrir are twins. I think everyone is feeling guilty right now. A death of a child is tragic, and in trying to make sense of it, blaming something is the easier way, even when we blame ourselves. Everyone who read this chapter before posting (beta readers and editors) have all commented on the statement from Malik's mom. It's pretty horrible. I appreciate the comments! Thank you for reading!

    The last thing Malik remembered from that night was Rhaelce, collapsed next to him and breathing hard. When Mythe roused Malik later that day, however, the room was empty. The only evidence of what transpired were the crusty remnants dried on his stomach, which he took care of with the rain barrel. Malik judged it to be about mid-day from the look of the sunlight. He joined Mythe for his usual chores, until Rhaelce came to ask if Malik could spare an hour for practice. Mythe

    Had a dream last night that Malik found an anaconda. (Not Rhaelce's but an actual snake). He slept with it draped across his lap for protection. When I woke up I worried that I may be putting him in too many dangerous situations. Then I reminded myself that the series is called Hazardous for a reason and Malik will just have to deal with it.

    I'm glad to see that Josh (allegedly) is on the road to recovery and hopefully we'll see him fitting in with a good family. I feel extremely protective towards him, which is a testament to your skill with character writing. Kudos to Shay too. I'm still intrigued by the hints that not all is well here, gives everything an unsettling vibe, which I also really like.
