    This was a fun chapter to write. I liked Rhaelce warming up to Malik since they are the closest in age and fighting skills. Nyrra is going to be Nyrra. I like hearing so much about language and the mistake that you pointed out sounds exactly like something I might do. I tend towards flubs in my native language pretty easily already.     I'm interested to see so many comments about language. Learning another language has always been something I wanted, but struggled with and I have far more resources than Malik. Of course, I also don't live in a weird ass place where I know at least one person wishes to put me in a stew pot if they could. Thank you for reading and commenting.

    Writing brain: I think this chapter is ready to be sent to the beta reader. Me: You realize it has two smut scenes in it? Writing brain: Yes Me: Well, what is my beta reader going to think? Writing brain: Probably that we could have squeezed in a third if we really tried.

    I don't use AI for writing because I look at writing similar to working a muscle. It gets stronger when you use it often. I practiced my writing for years and consider myself to be a fairly strong writer. If I take short cuts and use a computer program to write for me, I'm not using that muscle as often, and it will get weaker. This might be a weird take, but that's how I feel. I like to write, I worked really hard at it, and I'm not letting AI take that away from me.

    This is interesting. I don't know much about the mechanics of online gaming, but I'm really digging the rhythm established in the way this was written. It had a nice flow to it. I'm looking forward to reading more.

    I was speaking to a friend of mine who has a son in high school and a daughter in elementary. She said the high school stopped giving the students homework due to the use of ChatGPT and whatever else is out there. They have to do all their work in the classroom, where I assume it is easier to monitor.
