    Chapter 9

Thanks for commenting, but I'm not sure I understand the problem with Chihiro?

    Chapter 9

I love that you love Shuza. He's pretty cool. This was another fun chapter to write and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting.

    Chapter 9

There's a lot of similarities between Malik and Chihiro. Shuza speaks a little Japanese but mostly his own language, same as Rhaelce. Malik is picking up Rhaelce's language but it's slow going. I doubt Rhaelce has any interst in picking up English, as before now, he never really had anyone else to use it with. So multiple languages with very limited crossover...what could possibly go wrong? Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 9

It was fun to add characters to the storyline. There's much more surprises in store. Thank you for reading and commenting!

    Chapter 9

I imagine that Malik feels the same way. Thanks for commenting!

    Chapter 9

Malik definitely needed to get out and he's very lucky to have someone with him who knows how to survive. And @Thirdly's artwork is amazing. I'm glad you are liking the story, thank you for reading and commenting!

    Chapter 9

It was a lot of fun to add more characters to the mix. And the pictures are pretty amazing, I agree. Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 9

I'm glad you like them. And that you drew them for me, that was pretty cool. Thank you!

    Chapter 8

Malik has so much on his mind, between the emotions he feels from Naivres and his host family, keeping up with Rhaelce physically and learning how to survive in the wild. I don't envy him. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

    Chapter 8

Rhaelce knows nothing of mountains, just the familiar lands that he grew up and learned to hunt in. But you are correct in that he wants vengeance for his sister's death. Malik's motivations are murky at this point, but I think a part of him is more interested in going on an adventure with an attractive new friend than return to the day to day of his life at home where he feels unwanted by everyone. Thank you for reading and commenting!

    Chapter 8

Rhaelce lives a fairly isolated existence with his family. No mountain vacations for him (I'm more a beach person myself). Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 8

There's definitely a bond forming. Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 8

Malik is definitely a city boy, lol. He's learning a lot. Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Chapter 8

Nyrra is probably still too close for comfort. But it's two against one if she finds them. She might feel that she has to stay and take care of her husband and remaining child. But, believing that Malik is responsible for what happened to her daughter, she might decide that revenge trumps anything else. I guess you'll have to read on to see.

    Chapter 10

It was fun to write Malik and Rhaelce growing closer as well as everyone in the group becoming more comfortable with each other. Thank you for reading and commenting!

    Chapter 10

It was a hard scene to write. Thank you for reading and commenting!

    Chapter 10

Malik hadn’t even heard Rhaelce get up that morning, which was quite a feat considering all the leaves that Malik had crammed in there, but he was gone when he went around to rouse everyone when the day had broken enough for them to be able to see their way. Chihiro, and to a lesser extent, Shuza were still groggy from their middle of the night watches and Malik resigned himself to the fact that he and Rhaelce would probably need to trade out the mid-night watches this evening. They had just b
  19. It's cars for me. But yeah, I've heard of people getting sick on planes too. And boats.
  20. That's a ridiculous take. Children need to travel too. My mom had to fly when my sister was a baby and I was young. We were moving from South Carolina to Indiana. My dad had gone up with the only car and moving vans because he had to report to work while she finalized the details of the move. Having a child on a plane is inconvenient, but what part of air travel isn't?
  21. Welcome back. I was also in Utah last week, and while I did see some cuties at some of that national parks, I don't know if they were cute Mormon boys or just cute tourists like me.

    Chapter 7

That's a cool tidbit! Thanks for sharing this.

    Chapter 7

Exactly. The fight scene with Malik was one of the earliest scenes I wrote for this story. The failure to protect is a source of guilt and shame for Rhaelce as well. Amocava. His motivations are murky. He does. Thanks for reading and the comments, it's much appreciated.

It was an interesting scene to write. The boys are off on quite an adventure. Thanks for reading and commenting!
