Thanks for the review! I always look forward to your reactions. This was a tough chapter, but this story is all about Corbin's ups and downs. A lot more to come.

Thanks for the review! Pete did draw first blood, and expect Corbin to reciprocate in kind. I don't want to spoil anything about this triangle, but I can't wait to publish what I have coming up

Thanks for the review mr coastguard! Mike has surprised us all, hasn't he? There are some surprises around the corner with him and coo, and I hope they continue to be gripping more to come.

I caught Pete’s door with my forearm and propelled it back towards him. “Excuse you?” I asked, my voice sharp and raw. I couldn’t believe he was pushing me out, physically and emotionally. Not after what I’d gone through that day, agonizing over a decision that had taken me months to make, deciding to take a step that until that afternoon, I had been too afraid to take. He wasn’t going to push me out. Not without a fight. “How dare you?” he whis

Thanks Steve! I'm glad you're all caught up on the story. Mike really has come a long way, and his journey isn't even over yet. Expect to see more surprises out of him. Until then

The Second Cut is the Deepest
Jwolf commented on Jwolf's story chapter in The Second Cut is the Deepest
Hey Gene. Thanks for the review! I'm glad you've stuck with the story up until now. It's tough to binge read a story like this that was meant to be taken in as a kind of weekly. It's like Netflix watching breaking bad, you know? With that said, there are some changes and surprises in the chapters to come, so I hope you'll stick with the narrative. Thanks again! -
Thanks for another great review! I always look forward to reading these, you have no idea! Don't stress too much on trying to figure out how Pete found out... We find out pretty quickly n the next chapter. I hope the whodunit sequence comes off as comical as I'm hoping. And I'm lad mike continues to surprise. I think that's why I enjoy writing him so much... He's changed a great deal since we've et him while other characters stay man the same. Anyway, until next week! Thanks again.

Glad to hear Corbin is relatable! We all make bonehead mistakes, don't we? I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks so much for the review!

Team Pete! Don't let everyone who's jumping to Team Mike fool you, Team Pete still has the highest population by far. I'm not sure if that changes after the next couple chapters, however, but we'll see! Those two are the heart of the story, and their journey isn't over any time soon! Thanks for the awesome review and your super kind words!

Wow. What an amazing review. Thanks so much, Louis! I'm humbled by your reaction and great encouraging words. I'm glad that THE moment did all of the build up justice. I know there are going to be differing opinions on the events that take place next, and I'm excited to see what you think! Let's schedule that talk about relationships, sir... I'm ready when you are! Thanks again!

Carrie! Thanks for the review and the awesome compliments. Yeah, this triangle continues to be filled with complicated feelings, and I'm glad I'm doing a good job of expressing those. I've always tried to write in a vivid way, and I'd be thrilled if anyone had a connection at Showtime! Let's turn this puppy into a TV Show!! JK! But that has always been my style of writing. I'm glad you dig it. Thanks again, I always appreciate your comments and thoughts.

Wow, what a great compliment! Thank so much! That's one of the perks of writing in first person- you definitely get to understand what the character is feeling. I'm glad I'm doing so successfully. More to come soon

Thanks for the great compliment! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. It was definitely one of the most emotional chapters I've ever done. More to come

Thanks for the review, Tim! I think Corbin basically laid it all out there, even if he didn't exactly say the words. This little triangle has a lot of story left, and I'm so glad you're invested (I'm assuming you're on the Team Mike side of things). More to come next week! I look forward to reading your thoughts.

The Mike and Corbin dynamic has always been interesting to me. I'm excited to see what everyone thinks as that particular relationship unfolds moving forward. Thanks so much for your review and your thoughts! Much appreciated.

Thanks for the review, Cole. I'm so glad you're enjoying the story. I really do look forward to hearing your thoughts as the tale continues. And congrats on being the newest Promising Author!

Hi G! Thanks so much for the review. This story is autobiographical. Everything actually did happen, and the characters involved did survive to retell it, so that's good, I guess! I'm glad you're enjoying the journey so far. More to come!

That night, like most things involving Cadet Michael Taylor Loggerman, started off promising, and then quickly devolved into a heaping shitstorm that I could have very easily avoided. Because I still felt guilty about lying to Pete about my plans for the evening, I called Hutch and Brian to come into my room to get dressed for the cocktail party so that I could get a little bit of clarity from them. “First of all, don’t wear the denim shirt. It makes you look li

The reason I waited so long to comment on this review is because you predicted a couple of things correctly, and I didn't want to put up any spoilers too early on... but since I'm posting later on this evening, I thought I'd tell you that you're right... Corbin's lie does come back to bite him... but how? We'll see! Glad you like Mike! He's always been an interesting character for me to write...Thanks again for the review! Domdick is definitely something I'm going to steal!

I'm glad that Corbin doesn't have a violent streak, period. Can you imagine how many people he would have punched by now?!? I'm glad the Mike fans are making their way out of the shadows... your review kind of reminds me of the Malificent trailer. "If I come out...It's you who will be afraid." Thanks for the review! I can't wait to hear your thoughts next week
-
Thanks for the review! And the constrictive advice... I'll definitely keep the in mind.

Good to see we have some mike fans in the house. His involvement to the story remains, hopefully, Interesting. I look for to seeing how you react to the next few chapters
-
Thanks for that major compliment, fox. I'm glad you enjoy my writing. Looks like you can relate in part to falling for straight guy. I won't be monetizing an time soon, so just keep reading! More to come

Thanks for the review! I don't want to give away too many hints for upcoming chapters, but you're right about a couple of your intuitions. Hope to you hear what you think next week!
