I'm actually happy with the way things went. Andy was pushing too hard and too soon. Matt needs more time. I'm pretty sure that if Andy had pushed more, Matt would have thought he was a sex slave again.

Frackin' 6 or 8 young teen hoodlums (wannabe gang?), could have caused a lot of damage. Even though no mention of weapons was made, it's best not to tempt fate when in that kind of situation. Glad they got out of the area OK. Hmm, three horney teen guys and one girl? I can see why the mothers were not so thrilled about the idea of them going off alone.

This is a great start to what I hope is a wonderful story. @Connectwriter, I hope you have enough written that we don't have to wait too long for the next chapter! I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the family history by Hansl. It will undoubtedly share something that will aid Luke in understanding his father.

... But a satisfyingly good suggestion!
-
What? Do you think only you and @Cane23 are the only ones who look at that as an open invitation? Huh?
-
Now that I'm thinking of that... Devin did make sure that the ring fingers of BOTH hands were measured!

Yes, it does look like Devin wants to avoid Cruella as much as he can. Nosy neighbors are a pest. Add in that she's a busybody... Well, she is best to be avoided. That guy at the dog park was taking a chance with Mac. That kind of a come-on could have led to something bad for him! It's nice that Barry remembered them and is willing to have them at his football party. It is a nice overall start to their Junior Year.

"Come What May," is perhaps the most represented song of true love! @Mark Ponyboy Peters, it was a delightful way for Tim to confess his love for Guy. The context was everything!!! This chapter, the namesake of the story, was outstanding!

I had forgotten that "little" detail!

Ollie's reaction told me that he still loved his mother, despite the way he was treated. It also tells me that the abuse was worse than he let on since he had said it in the presence of the social workers. On a somewhat good but somber note, with the mother out of the way, there should be no other impediments to an adoption. Something that Ollie really needs now.

I've got such a dirty mind!!! There is that, isn't there?🤔
-
Only 9400 more words, huh? I can say that I honestly don't see how this will all end. sigh. It is going to be tough waiting for the last two chapters... Perhaps I will get some of my own work done! 😁🤣

My final comments, before I move on and read Chapter 20 (no need to answer): Andy: He feels something for Matt. Although he doesn't exactly know what those feelings are. Matt: He's getting the counseling he has long needed. I don't know if a person can go from being a sex slave to a free person on their own. Is he ready to meet Andy? Will something develop between them? Gwen: Whatever else are her problems, she has never accepted Matt's sexuality. She knows what happened to her son, but refuses to face how much he was hurt by that period in his life... Hence throwing out the homophobic responses. Maeve: While not having children of her own, her natural mothering instinct has been met by her service to Andy. She may have even seen something in Matt. Who knows! I suspect the next couple of chapters will answer these questions and suppositions... Now on to Ch-20!

We already know that even though Greg is a virtual newborn changeling, his vampiric strength is greater than most other vampires. According to the reactions of Nico and his Council, that Greg successfully turned the first 4 humans was literally unheard of. We need to also remember that Greg's non-specific telepathy is some dangerous secret. One that he should not let others (in the vampire world) know about. There is also the matter of Greg's budding telekinesis. The obvious questions are: Why should Greg keep these powers he has, to only his council and that of Nico and his council? Will his telekinesis become more powerful? Should he let Prince George know about these powers?

Oh yes! The memories that the scene brings up! Adam and Kai are in sync and things, while they could be better, are going well. Kai has limitations that do not seem to bother Adam.

I have been a reader of @Ronyx's stories for many years. While I have criticized some of the ways in which he ends his stories, I have always enjoyed them. His stories are stories of hope for our younger gay kids. Stories that highlight the many problems we have endured in our lives. As an author, @Ronyx has never shied away from many of the problems our gay youth share with our own lives, growing up. Even today, the pall of homosexuality brings many of the same issues that many of us have faced. In this story, we are flipped with the reality of our end of life, old age. Seen through the windows of time, we see our protagonist as he relates to those younger folk around him. I highly recommend this tale, as it deals with issues some of us older folk will face or are facing. Even the younger crowd will benefit. You will be where some of us are today.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this story, @Ronyx. Most of your stories are about young love, young men (or boys - teens, really) who are in their discovery days. It gives hope to your readers that life can go on and be worthwhile. Here, you've delved into the opposite end of the spectrum. Where, as older men, we can pass our own wisdom on to the younger generations. Something that too few will write about. Thanks for writing this much-needed story.

Oh dear! 😲 You do remember that Kai still has back problems?
-
Perhaps a little hope. That last sentence of the story could mean almost anything though.
-
I can see how that appears similar. I don't think it is... Hope I'm right! I've always found such presumptions to be part and parcel of the male ego... "I get to drill you! Oh? You had the same idea?!" And doesn't giving or taking require more than one or two times to know what you really like? It is new, after all. 🤔 That right there shows that neither one of them knows what the heck is going on! I would laugh, except it can be exceptionally painful for both parties! 🤬

Another wonderful chapter. So, it was Jason who was waiting for Tim. Lucky guess that he made in thinking that Tim was out with his boyfriend. Although it didn't seem to faze Jason that his big brother was gay. Something that completely escaped Tim. I also have to say that the way Guy has acted (and Tim, too) after being told he couldn't fuck Tim, I just feel that something is going to happen. Calm before the storm type of thing?

Um... No, you didn't. Just let us be happy and surprised. I've liked you since that first story, of yours, that I read! That doesn't mean I can't disagree, though. 🤔

I thought the jealousy segment was simply wonderful... It shows how deeply invested Adam is already, in and with Kai! Then we have the (sorta) domestic scene, while Kai is at his PT appointment. That whole thing was Adam wanting to do everything possible not to (re)injure Kai. Realizing Kai's argument that he needed to do something to keep from being bored to death, they work out a sorta schedule of things each can do. Letting Kai drive was a great step in trust for Adam. I really liked the almost X-rated sex scene. Here we see that Adam can derive as much pleasure in giving Kai relief that didn't need reciprocation. LOL, then there is the idea that Kai was gonna sleep with Adam that night and our wildest fantasies could run amok! How it actually turns out is anybody's guess... I don't suspect it will lead to making love right off the bat, but who knows?!
