They hunt just about all of the small vermin around here. From the Idaho Fish & Game dept.: Idaho's falcons include the peregrine falcon, prairie falcon, merlin, American kestrel, and gyrfalcon. The first four species nest in Idaho. The gyrfalcon is a rare winter visitor from the Arctic.

Great chapter, Bill. Peregrines are fascinating birds to watch. The way they can hover when they see something and suddenly dive to snatch their prey. While being smaller than most hawks, they have a larger wingspan. We have many nesting pairs within the Snake River Plains. But that is not the only place we have them. Larger towns and cities are favorite hunting grounds, with an abundance of pigeons and squirrels. Recorded stoops (steep dives) are over 242 kph (200 mph). They are also far-ranging birds, when on the hunt. A study by some Colorado biologists followed one female for 79 kilos (49 miles). The same female was clocked at flying 19 Kilos (11.8 miles) in 10 minutes (115 kph or 71 mph). (In 2004, Idaho proclaimed the Peregrine as the State Rapter.)

Computers (and computing) as we know it is a binary system. Yes or No. True or False. Go or No go. Where we differ is that we have a third mode of operation: Maybe. Unless or until such a time that a computer can gain that third branch, true intelligence (sentience) cannot be achieved.

I don't rightly know if creativity can be taught, let alone learned. I do think, however, that curiosity must be present before creativity can begin. What If... The basis of curiosity.

Yup. I feel a definite plot twist coming up! As mentioned, Huntington has been at least one step ahead of them. This going to Germany, because things look calm, may not be the best idea.
