  1. Personally, I think they are both weird... So whatya gonna do?

    Chapter 1

Yes, it was removed. The problem I see with removing the action is what the teacher did was integral to the plot line. There are bad people in this world, and that includes teachers, regardless of how we view the profession.
  3. Why does this not surprise me...

    Prologue

    I know... Scary stuff, that!

    Chapter 13

Despite my criticism about the computer virus, this was a good read. It was definitely a good story! Thank you, @drsawzall

    Chapter 12

It's a nice plot device, that virus. The reality is that after 1000 years, the virus wouldn't work. Period. We are too used to legacy programs working on current processors. But we only have a few decades of CPU iterations to deal with. Whatever platform was used 1000 years ago, and its related CPU micro-structure, would be a completely foreign structure to the machine code that the virus was made from. Sorry. It's my computer background that gets in the way of my suspension of belief.

    Chapter 11

Yes, there are shades of the ring bearer. Don't forget the shades of a certain nefarious Bronze Rider and his fate! Lol!!! This perhaps is the greatest part of the story.

    Chapter 9

This is where my thinking was going, despite @drsawzall telling us it is a random draw!

    Chapter 5

I cried. For the love that was just starting. For the love that ended. For the love that was foretold. And mostly for the human condition that these recollections seems to dim with time.

    Chapter 4

At least we have this portent of the future. Touching... I almost wish there was a better word, but I can't think of one.

    Prologue

One of the worst decisions our Supreme Court ever made was to rule that Corporations were persons. While I don't remember the case name, I do remember that it was in the early 1900's. I agree.

    Chapter 1

Sorry to say, but Kyle specifically told me this is a one-off story. He wanted to make a point. A very poignant point.

    Chapter 1

It was the mid-term elections, here in the US, that inspired Kyle. There was so much rancor from the hard-left and the hard-right that those of us anywhere towards the middle of the spectrum were left behind. Forgotten. Didn't count. Could this type of civil war actually happen? Unfortunately, yes.
  14. I don't want to think about Deke watchin' his daddy get kilt by Gideon's henchmen. I'm just afeared that's what's gonna happen.
  15. Bill, your story shows the true meaning of gift giving. Anonymously. That is, the best and most endearing gifts are those you give without anyone knowing it was you. It is a shame that too many look for self-status in letting others know it was them that gave...
  16. Just a quick note, Bill. Wonderful story showing the true meaning of Christmas, as well as the true meaning of Family. Al
  17. Bill, you have a knack for writing romantic stories for the seasons. Never give that up! Al
  18. I heard there was going to be a double feature... So Ima gonna stick around. Like you, after I had read the 2 shifter stories, I had to find her first one. Just to see how Kbois' writing skills developed. Glad that I did.

    Chapter 35

Beautiful wedding. Beautiful ending. And as others have said, simply magical.
  20. Al Norris

    Chapter 34

Which makes it all the more meaningful for the story. I loved it.

    Chapter 33

At least I have my imagination.

    Chapter 31

Cassie and Mazen. Yup, good match!

    Chapter 30

There's a Jarren story? How did I overlook that? Anyway, Let's make it unanimous. The foundation's name is great!

    Chapter 29

I did cry. When I was very little, we had a live in nanny (her two grand-kids lived with us, but that's another story) while my mom worked (there were 6 of us kids - dad was killed in a mining accident). One day while she was boiling water for some reason, my little 3-year-old sister really got on her nerves and she threw the pot of boiling water on my sister. Third degree over her entire abdomen. The upshot was that all the docs at the burn center said that my sister would never be able to carry a child to term, because of the extensive scarring. This was back in 1957, so burn tech wasn't all that much.

    Chapter 28

I can hardly wait... Oh! I don't have to! Lol!!!
