interview Ask an Author 2.0 #17
comicfan commented on Carlos Hazday's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Well, there's a question to get you thinking. Nice to see how so many took that question in so many directions. Fascinating as always.- 7 comments

Harry is a teenager and all the angst, fears, and overcompensating that comes with it. He screwed up and now went full blast trying to apologize. Ralph is also young. Having a boyfriend a bit older isnt helping much. Unfortunately, if people didn't know they were gay or a couple before, they will now. Ralph isn't one for the spotlight, but it is shining brightly on him and with pictures too! This is something they now need to work out, and the whole school will be watching. Painful life lesson for both of them.

Two Brothers Meet the Matchmaker
comicfan commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Two Brothers Meet the Matchmaker
Hmm. You two do love to stir up trouble. By chance Tim, are the brothers based on you and Adi? LOL. Your cupids are something else. One moment all flirty and sweet, the next strictly business. Sablo is going to get himself into deep trouble if Diego missed dinner. I keep thinking of Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey in Guess who's coming to dinner? Somehow, instead of Sidney Poitier, I think Azreal will be there. I just dont see Diego as the sweet, forthright Katharine Houghton. Regardless, this should be very entertaining. -
Two Brothers on the Warpath
comicfan commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Two Brothers on the Warpath
There are sweet romances and there are those you wonder how they came to be. Then there is the possibility of an angel being struck/stuck to the Angel of Death. I guess if you are going to play with love you might as well make interesting. Excuse me, need to go because luckily I came in late and another chapter is already up. -
Two Brothers Meet in a Bar
comicfan commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Two Brothers Meet in a Bar
Well, that is really twisted. Naturally, I'm curious now. Onwards to your next chapter. Two brothers - one gay and one bisexual and both now Angel's. This should be interesting. -
There are days where you feel invincible, and others where you wish the ground beneath you would open up and swallow you whole. Today was one of those days where I experienced both. Some how it just wasn’t the interview I had planned. My name is Cameron Ruiz. Before you get any ideas, I’m a short guy, with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and pale skin. For some unknown reason people hear Cameron and think tall blond rich kid. That so isn’t me. My parents never married, but my dad was really i

Harry is fourteen, out with his boyfriend and his boyfriend's uncles. Ralph just came out to his family because of Harry, and he hasn't figured anything really out yet. Harry disappeared while under their watch. Stevie understands Harry is exploring, but Ralph doesn't get it and Chris is ticked for Harry wandering off and hurting Ralph.
-
“Well, I wasn’t expecting that!” Uncle Chris smiled as he hung up the phone. “What? Good news?” Neil stood rocking Maryann. “She dropped the case. Ashton wouldn’t support her in this and her lawyer pointed out all the things against her, including how if you moved she’d never see her granddaughter again.” Neil slid into the nearest seat and began to cry. I walked over and took the munchkin from him. “Just in time too. I was going to have to cancel my flight home to

Rarely do problems come from the outside. Ralph and Harry are both young teenagers. They are at the age where they know who they like, but exactly how to have a relationship is something they are learning about. More to come.

Mona loves her son, but is still trying to understand why anyone wants to be gay. She likes Chris and Stevie, however, she hasn't completely accepted them as a couple. Ralph's father is used to seeing love as love and gay means nothing to him. Neil takes his father's attitude. Neil and Ralph still talk and skype. It was more the fact that his brother is there and upset that catches Ralph off guard. They are close and neither wants to see the other hurting.
-
Yeah, Harry royally screwed up. Part of being fourteen and figuring life out. Ralph has to figure out a few things. The good news is he has a family to support him. They will either work it out or they won't. Have to keep reading to find out. 😊

My own health and death of my computer put it on hold. The last chapters are posting now.

Frank died in the accident and his wife died shortly after giving birth. I dont see the baby as anything but a gift from her parents. She is named after them, but is already getting her own nicknames like munchkin.
-
@Timothy M. Sad, but hopefully one that will show promise.
-
There are 9 years between Ralph and Neil. Neil is 22 in his final year as an undergraduate. Ralph is 13 and in seventh grade.

Dont worry about the text. Glad you commented.

Lisa is a pain, but Frank knew what his mother was like. Mayann and Frank made sure everything was iron tight.
-
“I’m going to hurt him!” My Uncle Chris glared at his fiancé as we marched into the house. “Calm down, hon. They are kids.” Stevie tried to be the voice of reason, but it was a lost cause. My uncle and uncle to be went silent as they spotted my mother standing in the hallway, Maryann on her shoulder, and a rather grim look on her face. “I’m going to set the baby down for a nap, then you can explain to me why my son has a split lip and a ripped tee shirt.” I shivered as her voice drop

Oh lord. Did you meet my mom before she passed? I swear Drew's mother and mine just collected people. Lovely chapter. Afraid of Grandma, but the women in Aria and Amara's world are not sweet gentle women by any stretch of the imagination. 'Til next time.

So the boys barely got to relax. Hell the meal isn't done and the press or worse is on to them. In addition to two horrible parents, it seems they weren't far from the tree, cause the grandparents dont sound like much either. Well, between Drew, the twins, Jay, and Cerrian this should be one hell of a trip.

After the first book, Noel and Diarmad are together. Everything should be perfect, but when does the course of love ever run smooth? Almost immediately there are cracks in what should be happily ever after. What is bringing on the king's distrust in everyone? Is there something wrong? Noel's powers continue to grow. Yet he is still a target and people want him dead. Add in a young suitor that Noel never expected and the problems only grow. Will Diarmad and Noel figure it all out? Is this their happily ever after, or the beginning of the end? Only one way to find out, read!

Okay. I want to confirm here what I've said before, D is a huge idiot. He tries first to be noble, but comes off as a fool. For a king who is a gracious leader, he treats those closest to him horribly. When he should be honest he is silent, when he needs to be calm he shows off. Noel isnt free from this either. He cared for Kris but his heart still belonged to D. Instead of settling matters he did things from a distance, example being his song, and even when with D he never bothered to even talk about the things that mattered most. For a man who is suppose to balance a king and be the ultimate with three souls working as one, he comes up short. These two men both need to pull it together. Back to book three.

In this first book of The King's Mate you have a rich tapestry quickly but wonderfully woven and presented. Noel is about to turn 18. Instead of the usual worries of first loves or college issues, he finds himself in the center of a world he never knew existed. His beloved grandmother was a member of The Order and kept a watch over him for Diarmad. Diarmad was a man Noel met every year at Christmas. However, this year Noel finds that things were never what they seemed and his life is more special than he ever suspected. This story has love, romance, betrayal, kings, consorts, mystery, and more. Aditus creates an inviting world, daring you to come in, but warning you of the danger around each corner. Why wait? Throw caution to the wind and read.
