Every once in a while someone takes a chance and things just work out. Glad you liked it.

Yeah. Unfortunately, with the anthologies we can not correct anything once it goes live. Glad you enjoyed though.

“Fine, I’ll give you this raincheck for Wednesday,” Carrie nearly whispered into the phone as she spoke, “but you better have your ass here Sunday for Tess’s party.” “Carrie—,” was all I managed to get out. “No! It is your niece’s birthday, and she is bringing home her fiancé from college. You are my only family. Be here, or so help me God, I’ll track you down and rip your balls off, Pat.” I shook my head. You’d think we were kids with how we acted, not two adults in their forties. I
  6. Patrick is a writer for a food magazine. Although Christmas is over it doesn't mean the work is. Cancelling out on his sister's dinner he asks for a raincheck. He gets it only to have it called in for that weekend. His niece has just graduated college. Now he will need to deal with snow storms, delayed flights, young adults, a crush, and a fall. Pat will have to deal it all, just maybe later.
  7. Always nice to learn a bit more about the wonderful people on here. Tim has helped me out on a few occassions.
  8. Here you come again, just when I was set for another weekend of writing. Friday has arrived, so prompts are ready too. I have a few friends with birthdays coming up and it has influenced the offerings this week. Prompt 802 - Creative Tag - First Line "So, what did you buy me?" Prompt 803 - Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following words in a story - A balloon, a birthday cake, an empty room, a single card, a calico cat. Maybe one of these appeals to you. We have had some prompts getting attention. Prompt 801 was done by @Headstall - Prompt 784 was done as well - https://gayauthors.org/story/comicfan/apromptaweek/54 Remember if you do decide to do one of the prompts to place a link in the prompt forum. Until next time remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay well.

    Chapter 1

Thanks Gary. I always have fun with the Anthology. Glad you enjoyed it.
  10. These were all so different. Always love seeing where each author takes a topic.
  11. “The building is surrounded. The last one just entered the building,” Maria announced over the headset, “Go!” Blaine sent his people in to arrest the last of the ring. It had been four years of carefully hunting down the poachers. These people were like cockroaches. Stop them here only to find them there. His team had been going from Africa to India, to Australia, and then up to Japan. If there was an exotic animal, well, then there was some idiot who didn’t care if an entire family was
  12. Gary, sorry it was posted late but add it to the prompt forum so more people can find it.
  13. Been there. Done that. Have the tee shirt and the wasted years that go with it. Sad when a story strikes close to home. However, eventually you learn and move forward. Not easy but worth it. Loved the prompt story, Gary. Wished for more, but that is what happens with a short prompt tale.
  14. Everyone dreams of finding that one person who will make their world complete. For Daniel Long the day which should have made him the happiest he has ever been, has instead warped into a nightmare. Now in order to possibly have what he truly desires, Dan will have to suffer as an abomination. To protect his love, his family, and his pack, Pat will have to live a life of hatred and abuse. What is a man in love to do?
  15. November is just flying by. Already halfway through the month and again we are at a Friday. Time for new prompts. Oh, and in case you didn't notice we now have 800 different prompts to help get your creative juices going. Prompt 800 - Creative Tag - The meal You figured a nice meal with a few friends would be a nice way to share the holiday. That quickly went from four to nearly forty people. What happened to your small meal and how will you deal with it? Prompt 801 - Creative Tag - First Line "You are what I'm most grateful for this year. " So, I hope to see some fun prompt stories. Remember, if you do write one to add the link under the prompt in the forum. Until next time - read, write, comment, and like. Stay well.
  16. They answer the questions but don't go all out. I'll need to think about this.
  17. Thanks Dodger. While I enjoy playing with common themes, ideas, myths, and fairytales I do like to make them my own. Seems to be a bit gory for most who read it. I do apologize for the unsettling read after lunch. Thank you for the comment.
  18. Well, it was a vampire story and blood doesn't go with lunch unless you are drinking it. Glad you enjoyed it.
  19. Thanks Gary. I wrote this eight years ago and was surprised to see new comments until I found it featured. I'm happy it was easy to connect to, but still blame @Renee Stevens and @Lugh for this. It is was what happened with the old chat room. You'd talk stories, life, recipes, and sometimes inspiration would strike. Glad it still holds up.
  20. The year just keeps flying. I'm already looking ahead to Thanksgiving, mainly because I work in retail. So the prompts reflect that. Prompt 798 - Creative Tag - First Line "So are we inviting friends or making it a family holiday?" Prompt 799 - Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following words in a story - a fat turkey, a long table, a parade, a winter coat, and an apple pie. So while no one did last week's prompts we did have someone do prompt 786. Take a look at @Jason Rimbaud's story. It can be found here - https://gayauthors.org/story/jason-rimbaud/story-prompts-articles-and-ramblings/4. Leave him some likes and comments. 'Til next week, remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay well.

Nice twist to the idea. Like how you used the prompt.
  22. These were a fun read. going through them again.
  23. Wow! Welcome to November. Is it me or is the year just flying by? Well, it is now Friday, November the first. That means it is time for some new prompts. Prompt 796 - Creative Tag - The Heckler You were doing your job and having a good day until he showed up. This man had a nasty comment about everything you did, the way you looked, and how you spoke. At first, you were ready to cry and just hide. However, something inside you decided it was time to give this joker his just dessert. What happened? Prompt 797 - Creative Tag - First Line You found him asleep in the field, and somehow you managed to pick him up; stumbling on the uneven ground as you headed toward your car to take him home. So these are something new to tempt you. Meanwhile, we finally had a taker on an older prompt. @Mikiesboy wrote an entry for Prompt 790. Read it and comment on it for him here - https://gayauthors.org/story/mikiesboy/onlyprompts/24. Enjoy your week. Remember any prompt tale you write to link in the prompt forum. Until next time read, write, comment, and like. Stay well.

    Chapter 1

That is one twisted tale. Sociopath and demon means lots of suspense and plenty of death. Enjoyable story for Halloween.

    Zugrexamok

Damn. That thing really ripped apart that whole family.
