Ok, just a few comments. First, I did love the chapter. Second, we still dont have an explanation for Diego seeing what he did when Azreal gave their gift. Third, still no definitive answer on the male/female thing. Fourth, Diego knows they are being set up to be shot by arrows?!?! Azreal okays the shot?! Damn, do these two even need the arrows? Seems it is just an excuse, but they seem to already be in love. Why the hell does Theo need to be barefoot? Did I miss something?

You worry for no reason. You have more to fear by not giving out the next chapter. I know your editor! Lol.
-
Careful what kind of wolf chow you're chomping on. Lol
-
Hmm. So I'll follow Val's example - More. Lol. Nice vignette.

Oops. Sorry was a bit off last night so Friday is starting off a bit late. However, there are new prompts for your consideration. Prompt 760 – Creative Tag – First Line “Because I said so!” Prompt 761 – Creative Tag – The Ex You’ve been busy with work and finally, have a night off. Deciding you don’t want to spend it in front of the television you go out. Barely out of your car you turn and knock someone off their feet. As you go to help them up you find yourself face to face with your ex. What happened next? See something you like? Take a shot and write a story. Remember to share it with us. 'Til next time remember to read, write, comment, and like. Enjoy all.

Featured Story: The Strange Life of Jonas Marks

Aww. Thank you so much @Puppilull. Things do tend to be a bit blue for Jonas. I find it amazing how many people want the helping hands magic cleaning device. -
Welcome back. I can't believe we have reached another Friday. While racing to finish your anthology story you might find time for one of these prompts. Prompt 758 – Creative Tag – The Garden The new house next door always seems empty but an incredible garden seems to be growing in the backyard. One day your curiosity gets the better of you, you open the side gate, pass through the mushroom circle, and begin to follow some stepping stones that lead to a path. As you walk through the path you see rolling hills, castles, and even swear that a unicorn was standing at the edge of the forest. The problem is you live at the edge of the city and there are no hills, never mind there being castles anywhere close. What happened when you entered the garden? Prompt 759 – Creative Tag – List of Words Use the following words in a story – a troll, a sleeping kitten, a pair of handcuffs, a notebook, and an ugly painting. If one of them appeals to you please feel free to share it on the prompt page. We did have someone write, although it was on an older prompt.. Check out this little gem by BHopper2 - https://gayauthors.org/story/bhopper2/my-shorts-2019/3 Remember to read, write, comment, and like. 'Til next time, be safe and happy.

Somethings just take time. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and things will get done.

Well Jenny does love Jonas, but matchmaking is not her forte.

csr CSR Feature: The Strange Life of Jonas Marks by Comicfan
comicfan commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Thank you. I'm trying hard to finish two stories for the anthology, both of which have former worlds being revisited. Nice to know people enjoy Jonas. I had some wonderful people step up and keep that story going to a conclusion. -
Thank you. Jonas always looks for the positive. He admits his father never changed his spots, he was just blinded, by a hope for acceptance. I feel like that bad penny that keeps showing up. Luckily, people enjoy my wild tales.

@BHopper2 Welcome to the "it's only a short story and it's done, but everyone wants more" club. I feel responsible because it was one of my prompts. However, and I blame someone I've worked with often for this, cough @Valkyrie cough, and say expand it and write quickly because we want more. Lol. Did I say nice job? Great story. Can we have some more, sir?

It's May? It's May! The lusty month of May. Ooops, my love of Camelot and all that entails is showing. However, the year is just rolling along and we have reached the first Friday of the month and I'm here to tempt all of you with new prompts. Prompt 756 – Creative Tag – Given Life Your family has always been a bit odd. You were never allowed to read fantasy, fairytales, science fiction, or comic books of any kind. You never watched movies based off books or cartoons. The shelves in your house were filled with National Geographic and biographies. Then one day your neighbor slipped you their favorite book. Fifteen pages in and the characters you were just reading about are suddenly walking through your living room. Your parents come running in and are horrified to find you reading something forbidden and now tell you the family secret, characters are given life if you read their story. What book were you reading and what happened? Prompt 757 – Creative Tag – Deal with the Demon You thought you had the perfect relationship, but they cheated on you or so you were told. Angry and upset you storm into the woods. After walking for hours you collapse and pound your fist into the ground and hit a rock. You slice your hand and blood drops to the dark soil. A moment later the ground erupts and steam fills the air. A demon stands before you and offers to make a deal partially sealed with your own blood. What deal do you make? So did either one make you want to dip your toe in and write a little tale? Perhaps you will dive in deep and take both on? Remember if you do to share your response with all of us. There was one entry last week. Mr Savik took it on. Read it here - https://gayauthors.org/story/jamessavik/getintojamesshorts/35# Hopefully, we shall have new enteries next week. Until then remember to read, write, comment, and like. Enjoy your week.

I have had a really hard time getting over a recent relationship. I even have gone to therapy. This weekend I was cleaning and my father noticed the boxes in front of the pictures I kept up from my ex. He opened it and found the rings I'd bought for us. He looked and noticed only one was engraved. "Why only one?" I looked and spotted what he was holding. I swallowed my feelings. "Because mine was engraved with my promises to him." He read it and walked out. Guess instead of love and forgive I should have just left it blank. I've packed them and the pictures of him and his family away. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Thank you. Was getting a bit worried because no one has done any in two weeks.

Jay was a kidnapped child who had horrible things done to him. Healing will take a long time. I wonder what Lady Jane is up to? Is she another monster in the twins lives or did she force this to come out for a reason? So much pain and so little answers.

@Timothy M. when I'm off it rains. When I'm working it will be sunny or we get periods of it. I'm beginning to feel like a mushroom. But April here is full of showers. If I could I'd gladly send you some wet weather.
-
Ah, another Friday has arrived! So has more rain and my grass is getting to be ridiculously high. That isn't a lawn as much as a rapidly growing jungle. Hopefully this weekend the sun comes out so I can cut it down. If not, well, I can always curl up and write something. Speaking of writing it is time for some new prompts. Hopefully, I can tempt someone into writing something based off of this week's offers. Prompt 754 – Creative Tag – List of Words Use the following words in a story – Amazons, an old church, a shredded shirt, an iron gate, and an ancient tome. Prompt 755 – Creative Tag – First Line Blood gushed from the place where his finger had been torn off, but he didn’t seem to notice as he stumbled toward the body on the floor. Maybe one of these will tickle your interest. If you did write something based off a prompt feel free to share the link below. Remember short stories should be part of a collection. Until next time please read, write, and comment!

It is April, it's rainy, and it isn't helping my mood. Well, we are already a third of the way through the year. It seems I won't make it to June before hearing I need surgery like I have the last two years. Going to see my eye doctor about cataract surgery. Are we having fun yet? I find a lot of my life is slipping into my writing. I'm doing my best to camouflage it the only way I can, but I think, at least in some ways, that is normal. Just doing what I can to get things done before deadlines. This will be the first month that I am not sending out postcards. It is for varied reasons. One, I am barely being acknowledged by some. Two, I am finding it harder to see to write lately. Finally, it is just expensive. I wonder if people will notice. Finally, there is something I want to note. It is something I learned a long time ago. Words have weight. They can build people up or tear them down. I try to be judicious with my words, but I've had reason to be. I've forgiven things people have told me are unforgivable. Yet, the same ones I've taken back countless times are the first to wound me fatally when I misstep. It takes a long time to heal, never mind trust someone again. Remember words can build a bridge or forever isolate you. The choice is yours.

We are almost to the weekend and for some people, that means Easter, Spring recess, and a break from normal routines. It means a bit of free time to perhaps write. That might be for the upcoming anthology or just maybe a new prompt story. Considering it is Friday, I have new prompts to tease you and tempt you into writing. Prompt 752 – Creative Tag – First Line Wherever he stepped the sandy beach burned and left glass imprints of his footsteps like a bizarre pathway out of hell. Prompt 753 – Creative Tag – Rebirth You knew when you married your partner that you were accepting the problems that come with it. Different beliefs, habits, and holidays are the least of it for the two of you. Today they started the rebirth cycle. They’ve said goodbye to everyone and will spend their final hours with you before the cocoon forms. When the cocoon opens they will be reborn. Your mate will remember everything but they will have changed. They could be the opposite sex, much younger, or the same sex but their appearance will be vastly different. Their race is known for this and goes through rebirth every twenty-five years. They live a total of close to nearly three hundred years if they don’t accidentally die. What has happened to your partner? Will they stay with you or move on? Unfortunately, I don't think anyone has taken on the prompts lately. If you have and want to share please add the link below. Remember to read, write, and comment. Enjoy life! Until next time.

Thank you for stepping in and helping me get it done. Just glad everyone can read the ending now.
-
I'm glad you enjoyed it. A story always needs a good reason to weave a spell and capture a reader. My tales are a bit all over but hopefully you will find one or two you enjoy.

Is it me or are things off? There are major storms, both rain, and snow, across most of North America. There are a few weird animal happenings like a shark being saved in South Africa after going after a bird. There is even my order of postcards getting lost in the mail! Oh well. We shall press forward and focus on writing. How is your writing doing? Is everything going smoothly or are you uninspired? Might I offer some new prompts to you? I might have something to tempt you into writing a new novel or at the very least a new prompt story. Prompt 750 – Creative Tag – Genie During a dig in Turkey you uncover a lamp. The side is covered in an ancient Alembic writing. You decipher it but it seems to make little sense. It seems to be a list of odd directions. Carefully you copy them down and they tell you to name three people, make three wishes, but make none grand. The wishes will double, reverse, and the last words you cannot make out. You rub the lamp but nothing happens. Then you follow the directions, saying your wishes out loud then naming three friends when smoke billows out of the lamp filling the small area making it hard to see. A genie stands before you and begins granting your wishes. You get your first wish and the first person you named gets it twice as much. Your second wish is granted and the second person gets the reverse of it. What happens with your third wish? Prompt 751 – Creative Tag – The Garden You thought it was just an abandoned garden when climbed the fence and dropped down into the garden. The weeds were as high as the corn. It wasn’t until you plucked a tomato that you noticed the garden itself was tended but two inches beyond it had gone to seed hiding most of the tender crops. A moment later a hand gripped your arm like steel and your world changed forever. What happened? So those are the new prompts. Did you do something with last week's prompts? Share the connection below. Remember to read, write, and comment. Enjoy life. 'Til next time.

It was 3 years between start and finish with me writing it which might be a part of the issue. While I had originally planned something different, mentally I am no longer in the same place. Ralph eventually married and has a second daughter. The family had made peace but Lisa Weaton passed away, as did Jeanette. All the rest of the grandparents and parents were there to support Maryann. Maryann is a confident, intelligent young lady with her future before her. Ralph and Harry broke up in high school, went to college, and just before graduation start dating again. This time both are more mature and make it work. They even have twins. The story jumped eighteen years to show the life changes for the three major players. Maybe one of my other stories would work better for you.
