You sure threw a twist into that one. I like the creepy ending. At first I thought you were doing a Ray Bradbury update on the Electric Grandmother but this was so much more horrific.

Ah another Friday has arrived and you all know what that means ... I get to torture you with a new set of ideas to get you writing. Every week is a surprise and I never know when someone is going to take up the challenge and post one of the prompts. Last week, Kitt didn't even bother to post her tale in the thread for it but put it right up on the Prompt Me! page. Okay enough chatter out of me, here are this weeks prompts. Prompt 240 – Creative Tag – List of Words Use the following words in story – a present, a gold ring, a taxi driver, a new novel, and a pretzel. Prompt 241 – Creative Tag – The Toy Store You just became the manager of a toy store. What sort of toys does your store stock and what are your customers like? Every week I like to look at what was done on the prompts and this week is no different. Mann Ramblings let us see what is going to be part of an ongoing story. I was struck by the characters he was introducing and thought everyone should get a peek at it. Thanks for reading and commenting on this. Seems so many people don't like Sean's choice, but both men were truly good men. Just life doesn't allow you to get your cake and eat it too. Someone was going to be hurt, because that is the way of the world.

Yeah. I like to get my readers involved from the beginning. The whole family is going to see a lot of changes in a fairly short period of time. Some will be bad, some good, but it will leave them all changed.

I'm glad you are liking the story so far Stephen. My mother use to say that small children and animals were great at picking out good people. Time will tell.

A baby really changes the way you see the world. Neil is already wrapped around her finger. Naturally there is a lot more to come.

The baby is named after her parents - Maryann who was her mother and then Francis for Frank. Yeah, that is one of those details that most parents have to make, whether they want to or not. Glad you are enjoying this KC.

Well I keep falling for Ash. Hate to say it, but still not sure about Mike.

Asher is a really sweet guy. Mike is the one I am not sure how I feel about yet.

Poor Ash. This should be an interesting meal.

Mike is turning out to be a pain in the ass. Mr. Waters doesn't seem to influence his coworkers or leave them looking to help him. Poor Ash.

Nice opening scene. I have had to deal with my share of Mike's in my life. Glad Asher is such a straight up nice guy and didn't take advantage of Mike. Can't wait to read more.
