Well at least he wasn't working for Geek Squad. Cute story all the way around AJ. Loved the little details you dropped in it.

Hmm. So a little traveling around the world. Interesting take on the topic Johnathan. Really enjoyed it.

Real life is often stranger than fiction. Who knows what sins you prevented while dealing with that situation out in the cold. I am just grateful you are still here to speak of it.

I Can’t Even Remember
comicfan commented on Dolores Esteban's story chapter in I Can’t Even Remember
I'd never heard of flarf poetry before. Being an English major that sent me out to find out what it was. Interesting approach to the subject Dolores. I understand it and think you did a great job with it. Nicely done. Amazing how some words and pieces of ideas can communicate so much. -
Seems I have walked into the middle of a naughty conversation. Definitely something different.

Seems even in the deep South you can find treasure. I really enjoyed this Bill. Seems a bit of the Irish found its way down there. Nice.

Special Thursday Feature: Spring Anthology - A Night To Remember Now Live!
comicfan commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I have begun reading my way through them. There are so many for a change. Glad to see the work and different styles that were used in interpreting this topic. On a side note, thank you FishWings for the beautiful banner. It is greatly appreciated. -
I was sure someone would have to go for Vampires. Your take was as different as they come Cailen. That was an incredible read.

There were so many horrific things that Damien had to deal with. It was painful to see him deal with what had happened to him. Nice to see a happy ending. Great job.

KC, you always pull something new and exciting out of your hat. A very sweet tale.

Where is the food?

Someone has been busy. Really looks great. Thanks.

Did you miss me?

Well, as usual I'm a bit late but wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thank you so much for the review Slytherin. This was just one of those stories that came about due to the prompt. Some of those damn prompts have become full blown stories. While I might like to say never, instead I will say at this time I have no plans to expand it.

Andy thought he had found the love of his life in Teddy, then Teddy walked out one day. Andy found himself lost at sea with a strange woman who reminds him vaguely of someone he knows. Will he ever find his back or will this be a night to remember.

Lost At Sea - Spring 2013 Anthology - A Night To Remember
comicfan posted new chapter in Lost At Sea
It was a terrible moment of clarity. I mean we all have them; we just don’t have control over when and how they come about. Mine came in that damn life boat. I guess should start over here so you can follow me. The trip was a given, or, if I am being honest, was won. I had taken a chance for a trip from New York City to the Bahamas. The new cruise ship, Titan, was to make its maiden voyage and they were offering free rooms to the winners of a raffle. The raffle itself was for the cancer found- 34 comments

March is one of those months where things seem to pile up for me. Anyone reading this, just excuse me if I bounce from idea to idea. First a special thank you. I am not sure I know exactly who did it, although I am sure it was someone from here (which sort of narrows the list down.) I have had a few rough weeks lately, but someone took it upon themself to try to make my life a little easier. I guess now I know what it is like to get a package out of the blue. To which of ever of you did it, my humblest thank you. It wasn't expected, however, it is greatly appreciated. My Mom. March is one of those rough months for my family. Mom's birthday was in this month, so was my parent's anniversary, and the one holiday they loved to celebrate that wasn't Christmas, St. Patrick's Day. Emotionally it is a rough time. You never truly forget those who have passed, but dealing with the pain of their loss gets easier as time goes on. Work has been rediculous. I am taking a few days off to get my life together. Strange to have to do that. Mine seems to have fallen to the wayside and now I need a couple of days to see if I can get it righted and back on track. That includes getting the projects I have been working on completed. That goes for my work and a few people I have beta work for. High points of the month - I did some how manage to get out all my cards for the month. It seems like a challenge and for God's sake we are only eight days into it. I also have gotten out nearly all of my packages. Just excuse me if I seem distant or not fully there. I am trying just trying to get everything done. Dad is seeking a second opinion on his aneurysm. That is making me glad. I didn't care for the Dr he seen, so I am glad to see both him and his primary wanting a second one on it. Well that concludes my sort of vent session. Thanks for not smacking me upside the head and telling me I'm only human. Sort of realize that at times but it is something I have to keep reminding myself. Oh well.

Okay forgive me for being late on commenting, but you know me, I get there in the end. Things are stressful. I think winter is hard on everyone and the time spent inside, with less light plays havoc with most of us. There is a reason they say there is the winter doldrums. Leshwar - insomnia is a pain for most. If it is affecting your life and your ability to function and live then don't be afraid to check out help for it. Sometimes a change in diet or schedule can help. I wish you luck. Mark - Medicine is tricky at the best of times and it is never a miracle cure. It can help but only you know if it is being successful. Talk to your doctor and be honest. You know we only wish you the best. I'm glad you have your studies to give you something to focus on. I mean how many hours can you focus on Stuby, oh bad choice. You know we love you and only want the best for you. If you need to talk just let me know. Jo Ann - One part of your life is over but so many more are before you. Unfortunately my mother never got to know the pleasure of grandchildren. I never found a partner, and my brother and his wife refuse to have any. She found a chance to be a mother over and over again by working in the school district helping kids. The one thing she always said was a mother is a mother, whether it is with her children or someone else's. You never stop hoping to see them grow up and succeed. That also didn't stop her from investigating a hundred new hobbies or projects she just "wanted to try my hand at." As long as you live your life, have loved ones around you, you have a purpose. Besides those of us, you have befriended, expect our cards and notes. Keep your chin up and know you are loved. Rob - Don't think we haven't noticed. Remember we know your daily struggle isn't easy either. Glad to know you are reaching out to others but take time for you too. If the caretaker collapses things won't get better. Take time for you too. JMH - I only have that small picture you created with the words you have given us. The picture isn't great but you show you are still fighting. Do what you need to. There are those who will always offer you a shoulder if you need one. Hope everyone just keeps hanging in there. to any who need it.

Wacky Wednesday: Ask An Author #2
comicfan commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I always say I learn a lot from a review, Jo Ann. Now when are you going to do a full story for us? -
Recently someone asked me, “How do you become a Promising Author?” To be honest, I wasn’t sure how to respond, but like any good English major, I did my research. First I found a whole piece on how to become a Hosted Author. Hosted Authors must have an existing body of quality writing AND an established reader base. In addition, Hosted Authors are encouraged to be active participants in the GA community, to cross-promote and link back to GA when posting stories elsewhere, and to encourage their readers to join the GA community. To request consideration to become a Hosted Author, please contact Talonrider by PM. Which is really nice to learn about, but not what I was searching for. I mean I am a Promising Author, so I should know how it came to be. So back to digging through the information to pass to the one who asked it. Finally I got an answer to my question with this information. Criteria for Promising Authors Promising status’ purpose is to help develop writers who have already shown initiative in improving their writing and promoting themselves; to give up-and-coming writers exposure and help them build a fan base. It is like an intermediate step between Author and full Hosted. Promising Authors do receive their own forum, as well. - demonstrates a basic level of writing ability - is actively seeking and accepting assistance to improve their writing - uses editor and beta readers, or is seeking same - number of completed stories - series vs. short stories - participates in and contributes to the GA community; is actively involved in building and improving the site; shows an interest in all parts of the site, not just their own - promotes the GA site (ex. if they post elsewhere, they link back to GA as their main site) - shows initiative in promoting their work and growing their reader base, and/or is open to learning how - if they have a reader base established, that can be taken into account but is less necessary than for Hosted Authors One major component of receiving Promising Status is the author’s willingness to agree to a 60 day exclusivity to any new material that is being posted on and off-site, with an exception made only for personal sites such as off-site blogs or webpages. Nominations for promotion can be made by other site members, notice from WST/site staff members, or by contacting the WST Deputy Lead. To request consideration for Promising Author at this time please contact Cia.

Congrats Mann. -
Opie reads minds and more. No, I don't think you are the only one who would like to punch his father in the face.

I am working on this. Took a while, but going on this again.
