  1. The Ghosts of Night They come on silent feet in the dead of night To whisper things forgotten in the ears of the sleeping Like the ghosts of the past they are Some full of hope, others full of fright The end of time shows changing things The first comes like a stallion proud and tall A life cut too short but a soul so bright He whispers of hope, freedom, and life He seems so grand and I so small The swirl of time and things change The scent of roses and the gentle breez
  2. Life’s Path Darkness first and then the light A warm spring breeze whispers hello The green young grass beneath my feet With daffodils, snow drops, and crocus all around Through a world new and exciting I totter all about The birds build nests, while everything seems so bright Oh so very bright The blistering summer sun shines bright over head And the air is thick and hot The dirt fields of a baseball game calls to me While the roses, thick, sweet, and open draw all my senses I ch

Dream Lover Darkness swallows all the shadows, dimming any light As he comes to me like a creature of the night Kisses rain down on me A touch A tease Till I am his My body is his instrument; one he knows just how to play I’d live for this pleasure, but he refuses appear to me each day His touch sooths my burning skin A balm A fire Till all is but desire The things that are done in the coo

  5. Trust me Jo Ann, people have sent me some letter head and note cards. Going to be using them too. My big thing is I like to have fun and make the people who get my cards ( like you ) smile when they see what I have sent them this time.

  9. Well most of what I've sent started with picture postcards of spots around Long Island. However, I grew bored with that. I mean how many can you send before people begin to think you are nuts. Then I found Zazzle and began to order cards about things I enjoyed. Superman, Batman, Harry Potter, and Looney Tunes. Just was hoping people might have an idea of other places I could get some interesting postcards from that people might enjoy.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. That is the one nice thing about the prompts, you never know where they might end up taking you.

Well naturally the younger the person the more of an impact. Face it if tomorrow we had to go back to using cassette tapes, we might grumble but we know how to do it. Today's teenagers would scream bloody murder. lol. After having seen what others, yourself included, had done with the topic I wanted to make sure I took it in a completely different direction.

Let me see how I can answer that - No, no, no. No more stories till I finish the three I have going now. I'm glad you enjoyed it though KC. I feel like with everything going on I am losing my edge.
  16. Since the great collapse things haven’t been so easy. The cities were nearly torn apart, but out here in the suburbs and farming land, things weren’t as bad. Granted, it wasn’t as safe as it once was, but then again what is? I’d gotten out late from work, and I moved quickly to reach Tanner’s Grocery before they closed for the evening. It seems that since the collapse, people were forced to go back to the old ways, before so much technology made life easy. Not everything has stopped working but

  20. Okay as some on this site will attest to I love postcards, both sending and collecting. However the postcards I collect are the ones people send me. I tell them if they go on vacation instead of picking me up a shirt, keychain, or other item send me a postcard from where you are so I can see it. The picture might just give me the desire to go there myself. Recently I have been sending out a new type of postcard. That is postcards based on things I like - dragons, unicorns, Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, and so much more. My question - Does anyone know of any site other than Zazzle.com where you can get such cards without spending and arm and leg for them. I am not after rare cards or ones about my own home area (my friends have had them all trust me). I was just wondering if anyone had come across a site that had some interesting postcards that people might enjoy getting that isn't going to charge you five dollars a postcard. Ideas?
