    Chapter 1

Sam, The piece was beautiful. You present so many parts of a life, beautiful, painful, and how various people handle the daily survival of school at any given point in history. When friends grow or change and the reasons aren't always clear. The Valentine incident becomes one to remember and the final Valentine one that can't be forgotten. Incredibly emotional without ever trying.

    Chapter 1

Well that is the one thing about time, it allows you to see the mistakes you made in a new light. As for Tad's niece, well that is the one thing about teenagers, they rarely censor themselves and sometimes they say it as it is, whether you want to hear it or not. lol. Thanks for all the help.

    Chapter 1

Thank you Lugh. I know how rare it is for you to comment. As for writing, well I got this new title and I think I should try it out by, oh I don't know, writing some more.
  4. Wow, that leaves you cold. Stripped of all possible life, stuck with fading memories because one man was too proud to admit his son was gay, hoping that this might keep him alive and by doing so stripping his partner of closure. Watching how two lives come together, become one, and then forever are destroyed. It leaves you looking to the future and worried what might come of it. Great story if somewhat dark.

    Chapter 1

You have a whole new world you have opened up with this one, Andy. I can't wait to see where you plan to take it. I loved how the faith Harlin has in his father is rewarded. I love the fact that Stef stands up to him for Harlin. The two really needed to get past the walls they had built. I love this story and can't wait to see more of it.
  6. Oh goodie. A whole new crop of tales to read and comment on.
  7. I might be a bit late in the day but I hope your birthday was a great one. Enjoy.
  8. Happy Birthday JC. and many more.
  9. Aww, Thanks Billy. I am just grateful people are enjoying my stuff.
  10. Back to the 80s again. Hey I was graduating in high school and even then we knew he was gay.
  11. I never claimed to be on top of everything. However, this year I swore I wouldn't be behind the eight ball when it came to Christmas. I bought things all year long. In fact, i even bought a few things that I could use, just in case. So now we skip ahead to today. i did my Weight Watchers meeting (I gained a pound but I consider that good considering what is happening in my life at the moment), went to get my license and found I still didn't bring enough stuff with me to prove who I am and how old I am, did some quick food shopping so I could do my holiday baking, came home, and sort of collapsed. I guess all the long hours and lack of sleep caught up. Still not over my cold. Deciding the hell with everything I made up a batch of chicken soup from scratch, ate, and went back to bed. I still am 2/3 of the way through the last chapter of Accidents. I still haven't wrapped up all the gifts I have for friends and family. I found I am missing at least a bag of stuff I did buy and have no idea where I put it. I've miss placed the address of a few friends. Thankfully I never seem to get rid of email or text messages so hopefully I still have them there. Would it be too much to ask for it to be 2012? 2011 has been kicking my tush all year. Anyway, sounds like the wash machine is done and can I finally put my clothes in the dryer. After all I only have to be to work in less than 8 hours. I love my life. Have a good one all.
  12. I'm flattered you read it all at one sitting. I have enjoyed my time with Scott and Charlie. Charlie has been real close to me and I set him in a world I know, Patchogue, New York. The last Chapter should be out on Saturday the latest. Glad you liked it.
  13. That is just twisted.
  14. I like how this is developing. The slow acceptance by those who are most important to Andy. The fact that Mr. Horn is a big man willing to stand up for his students. The fact that this isn't being rushed. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next.

    Facing Facts

Thank you all. i can't bring myself to wish anyone harm, but I keep on keeping on.
  16. Okay seems like DC is getting the votes and no thinking warmer weather. I for one don't feel like freezing my tush off. Besides if the snow does what it did last year I am not going to be able to head south any time soon. Between work and weather I'll be buried. lol.
  17. Day 15 - This is another one of those that was a favorite of my mother's. (Can you tell she had a warped sense of humor?) If Andy thinks no one knows who Burl Ives was, what are they going to do with Pearl Bailey?
  18. You aren't the only one from the dark ages. Although for me, the introduction to Burl Ives the first time was as the voice of the talking snow man in Ruldoph the Red Nose Reindeer.
  19. Sounds like DC is a hit. I can go for that. I know I was the one to open this can of worms and I am not backing out, however does someone from down there want to see what rhe group can do on a budget. It pays to have options. Like I said, I love DC every time I have been but can't honestly say I know it. So I can lend a hand but no one knows DC like some from the area. Meanwhile for those who see DC as too far to get to does the North East GA group need a different gathering or will this work? SECOND QUESTION - possible dates anyone?
  20. Sorry, every trip to DC I've had people who know the area take me around. DC works for me but I know we do have some further North, like Intune in CT and Cailen in MA, and even up to Maine. If we have two that would work as well. Besides I know we also have a few GAers from up near the Canadian border so will just have to wait to see about the weigh in from them. But I can't see why DC wouldn't work.
  21. Well depending on how many interested parties we get the east coast is fairly large, maybe a north and south thing? I'm from the Island, I drive. Been to DC many times but been told my country white boy self should stay out of Philly. lol. But well lets see what if anything we can get going. Heck if we do a north and south at different parts of the seasons I might be able to make both. (Oh travel plans and a reason for time off. Did I just let everyone know that. )
  22. LOL. Well I would think the Bahamas are out. I was discussing east coast of the US. Doubt many of us can simply afford to drop it all and run to another country. I'm all for a summer get together though. After all the snow from last year, and what they are expecting this year, it would be something to look forward to. So far a suggestion for DC. Anyone else care to put forth a city or local? And Lacey who you calling a weirdo? I'm not weird, I'm nuts.
  23. Billy, You do what is best for you. As long as the story continues you will be making those of us who read it happy.
  24. Thank you all again for the birthday wishes. I haven't forgotten and am still giving positive clicks just been reading stories in between so taking longer than I would like.
  25. Okay seen that the European group is getting together (Again the lucky gang) and that the West Coast is planning a meet. Well what about the East Coast of the US? There are a group of us here too. Any one interested in getting together and where on the Coast would everyone like to go? So Everyone who reads this knows the facts. There was a vote. DC is the home of the East Coast meet this year, 2012. IT will be the weekend of June 16th and 17th. Thank you for all who voted. Feel free to read all the comments and if you plan to attend please let us know as well. We would love to have as many as possible show up.
